23- Surat Almu'minun

118 Verses Meccan (revealed in Mecca)

A'auzu Bellahi mena alshaiytani alrajeem

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan

Besmi Ellahi Alrhmani Alraheem

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Qad aflaha almu'minun (1).
Indeed, the believers have succeeded.

Allazina hum fee salatehim khashe-uon (2).
Those who are humble during their prayers.

Wa allazina hum ani al-laghwi mu'reduon (3)
And those who turn away from the vain speech.

Wa allazina hum lel-zakati fa-eluon (4).
And those who are doers of Zakah.

Wa allazina hum le-furujehim hafezuon (5)
And those who guard their private parts.

Ella ala azwajehim aww ma malakat aymanuhum fa-innahum ghaiyruo malumeen (6).
Except from their spouses or what their right hands possess, then indeed, they are not to be blamed.

Fa-mani ebtagha wara-a zaleka fa-aulaeka humuo al-aduon (7).
But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors.

Wa allazina hum le-amanatehim wa ahdehim ra-uon (8).
And those who are careful about their trusts and their covenants.

Wa allazina hum ala salawatehim youhafezuon (9).
And those who maintain their prayers.

Aulaeka humuo alwarethuon (10).
Those are the inheritors.

Allazina yarethuona alfirdawsa hum feeha khaleduon (11).
Those who will inherit the Firdaws, they will abide therein forever.

Wa laqad khalaqna alinsana men sulalatin men teen (12).
And indeed, We have created man from an extract of clay.

Thumma ja'alnahuo nutfatan fee qararin makeen (13).
Then We made him a sperm-drop in a firm place.

Thumma khalaqna alnutfata alaqatan fa-khalaqna al-alaqata mudghatan fa-khalaqna almudghata ezaman fa-kasawna alezama lahman thumma ansha'nahuo khalqan akhara fa-tabaraka Allahu ahsanu alkhaleqeen (14)
Then We created the sperm-drop into clinging blood then We created the clinging blood into an embryonic lump, then We created the embryonic lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We produce him as another creation, so blessed is Allah, the Best of the Creators.

Thumma innakum ba'da zaleka la-mayyituon (15).
Then after that you will surely die.

Thumma innakum yawma alqeiyamati tub'athuon (16)
Then indeed, you will be resurrected on the day of resurrection.

Wa laqad khalaqna fawqakum sab'a taraeka wa ma kunna ani alkhalqi ghafeleen (17).
And indeed, We have created seven paths above you, and We are not unaware of the creation.

Wa anzalna mena alsama-e ma-an be-qadarin fa-askannahuo fee alardi wa inna ala zahabin behi la-qaderuon (18).
And We have sent down water from the sky with a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and indeed, We are Able on taking it away.

Fa-ansha'na lakum behi jannatin men nakheelin wa a'nabin lakum feeha fawakehuo katheeratun wa menha ta'kuluon (19).
Then We produced for you thereby gardens of date-palms and grapes, for you in it are many fruits, and from them you eat.

Wa shajaratan takhrujuo men tuori saiyna-a tanbutuo bel-duhni wa sebghin lel-akeleen (20)
And a tree that comes out from Altour of Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat.

Wa inna lakum fee alan'ami la-ebratan nusqekum memma fee butuneha wa lakum feeha manafe-uo katheeratun wa menha ta'kuluon (21).
And indeed, for you in the cattle is a lesson, We give you drink from what is in their bellies, and for you in them are many benefits, and of them you eat.

Wa alaiyha wa ala alfulki tuhmaluon (22).
And on them and on ships you are carried.

Wa laqad arsalna Noohan ela qawmehi fa-qala ya-qawmi e'buduo Allaha ma lakum men elahin ghaiyruhuo afala tattaquon (23)
And indeed, We have sent Noah to His people, so He said O My people! Worship Allah, you have no god other than Him, then Will you not fear?.

Fa-qala almala-uo allazina kafaruo men qawmehi ma haza ella basharun methlukum youreduo an yatafaddala alaiykum wa laww sha-a Allahu la-anzala malaekatan ma same'na be-haza fee aba-ena alawwaleen (24).
But the chiefs who disbelieved from among His people said this is nothing but a human being like you, He wishes to assert superiority over you, and if Allah had willed, He would have sent down Angels, we have not heard of this from our forefathers.

In huwa ella rajulun behi jennatun fa-tarabbasuo behi hatta heen (25).
He is only a man in Him is madness, so wait for him until a while

Qala Rabbi ensurni bema kazzabuon (26).
He said My Lord, Help Me because they have denied Me.

Fa-awhaiyna elaiyhi ani esna'e alfulka bea'ayunena wa wahyina fa-iza ja'a amruna wa fara alttannuruo fa-sluk feeha men kullin zawjaiyni ethnaiyni wa ahlaka ella man sabaqa alaiyhi alqawluo menhum wa la tukhatebni fee allazina zalamuo innahum mughraquon (27).
So We inspired to Him that construct the ship under Our eyes and our inspiration, then when Our command comes, and the oven gushes forth, then put into it from every two pairs, two, and your family except those of them against whom the word has preceded, and Do not address Me concerning those who have wronged, indeed, they are drowned.

Fa-iza estawaiyta anta wa man ma-aka ala alfulki fa-quli alhamduo lellahi allazi najjana mena alqawmi alzalemeen (28).
So when You and whoever is with You have boarded on the ship, then Say Praise be to Allah, the One who has saved Us from the wrongdoing people.

Wa qul Rabbi anzelni munzalan mubarakan wa anta khaiyruo almunzeleen (29).
And say My Lord Let Me land at a blessed landing place, and You are the Best of those who cause landing.

Inna fee zaleka la-ayatin wa in kunna la-mubtaleen (30).
Indeed, in that are signs, and indeed, We are testing.

Thumma ansha'na men ba'dehim qarnan akhareen (31).
Then We have produced after them a generation of others.

Fa-arsalna feehim rasulan menhum ani e'buduo Allaha ma lakum men elahin ghaiyruhuo afa-la tattaquon (32).
And We have sent among them a Messenger from themselves that Worship Allah, you have no god other than Him, then Will you not fear?.

But the chiefs from among His people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter, and We had given them luxury in the worldly life said this is nothing but a human being like you, He eats from what you eat and drinks from what you drink.

Wa la-in ata'tum basharan methlakum innakum izan la-khaseruon (34).
And if you obey a human being like you, then indeed, you would then be losers.

A-yaedukum annakum iza mettum wa kuntum turaban wa ezaman annakum mukhrajuon (35).
Does He promise you that when you have died and become dust and bones that you will be brought out?.

Hayhata hayhata lema tu-aduon (36).
Far fetched, far fetched, is what you are promised.

In heiya ella hayatuona alduonya namutuo wa nahya wa ma nahnuo bemab-uotheen (37).
It is nothing but our worldly life, we die and we live, and we will not be resurrected.

In huwa ella rajulun eftara ala Allahi kazaban wa ma nahnuo lahuo bemu'mineen (38).
He is nothing but a man who has invented a lie about Allah, and we are not believers in Him.

Qala Rabbi ensurni bema kazzabuon (39).
He said My Lord, Help Me because they have denied Me.

Qala amma qaleelin la-yousbehunna nademeen (40).
He said after a little, they will surely become regretful.

Fa-akhazat-humuo alsaiyhatuo bel-haqqi faja'alnahum ghutha-an fabu'dan lel-qawmi alzalemeen (41).
So the blast seized them with truth, and We made them scum, then away with the wrongdoing people.

Thumma ansha'na men ba'dehim qurunan akhareen (42).
Then We have produced after them generations of others.

Ma tasbequo men aummatin ajalaha wa ma yasta'kheruon (43).
No nation can precede its term, nor can they delay it.

Thumma arsalna rusulana tatra kull-ma ja'a aummatan rasuluha kazzabuhuo fa-atba'na ba'dahum ba'dan wa ja'alnahum ahadeetha fabu'dan le-qawmin la you'menuon (44).
Then We sent Our Messengers successively, whenever there came to a nation its Messenger, they denied Him, so We made them to follow one another, and We made them statements, so away with a people who do not believe.

Thumma arsalna Musa wa akhahuo Haruona be-ayatena wa sultanin mubeen (45).
Then We sent Moses and His brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority.

Ela Fer'awna wa mala-ehi fa-stakbaruo wa kanuo qawman aleen (46).
To Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people.

Fa-qaluo a-nu'menuo le-basharaiyni methlena wa qawmuhuma lana abeduon (47).
So they said Shall we believe in two human beings like ourselves while their people are slaves to us.

Fa-kazzabuhuma fa-kanuo mena almuhlakeen (48)
So they denied them and were of those destroyed.

Wa laqad ataiyna Musa alketaba la-allahum yahtaduon (49).
And indeed, We gave Moses the book, so that they may be guided.

Wa ja'alna ibna Maryama wa aummahu ayatan wa awaiynahuma ela rabwatin zata qararin wa ma-een (50).
And We made the son of Mary and His mother a sign and sheltered them within a high ground having level and flowing water.

Ya-ayyuha alrusuluo kuluo mena altayyibati wa'maluo salehan inni bema ta'maluona aleem (51).
O Messengers! Eat from the good things, and Do righteous deeds, indeed, I am All-Knower of what you do.

Wa inna hazehi aummatukum aummatan wahedatan wa ana Rabbukum fa-ttaquon (52).
And indeed, this religion of yours is one religion, and I am Your Lord, so Fear Me.

Fataqatta-uo amrahum baiynahum zuburan kullu hezbin bema ladaiyhim farehuon (53).
But they cut off their matter between them into sects, each faction rejoicing in what they have.

Fa-zarhum fee ghamratehim hatta heen (54)
So leave them in their negligence until a time.

A-yahsabuona annama numedduhum behi men malin wa baneen (55).
Do they think that what We provided for them of wealth and children.

Nusare-uo lahum fee alkhaiyrati bal la yash-uruon (56).
We are accelerating the good things to them?, but they do not perceive .

Inna allazina hum men khashyati Rabbehim mushfequon (57).
Indeed, those who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord.

Wa allazina hum be-ayati Rabbehim yu'menuon (58).
And those who believe in the signs of their Lord.

Wa allazina hum be-Rabbehim la youshrekuon (59).
And those who do not associate with their Lord.

Wa allazina you'tuna ma ataww wa qulubuhum wajelatun annahum ela Rabbehim rajeuon (60).
And those who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will return to their Lord.

Aulaeka yousare-uona fee alkhaiyrati wa hum laha sabequon (61).
It is those who accelerate to the good things, and they are forerunners of them.

Wa la nukallefuo nafsan ella wus-aha wa ladaiyna ketabun yantequo bel-haqqi wa hum la yuozlamuon (62).
And We do not burden any soul except its capacity, and with Us is a book that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged.

Bal qulubuhum fee ghamratin men haza wa lahum a'amalun men douni zaleka hum laha ameluon (63).
But their hearts are in negligence about this, and for them are deeds other than that, they are doers for it.

Hatta iza akhazna mutrafehim bel-azabi iza hum yaj'aruon (64).
Until when We seize their wealthy ones with punishment, behold! they are crying.

La taj'aruo alyawma innakum menna la tunsaruon (65)
Do not cry today, indeed, you will not be helped from Us.

Qad kanat ayati tutla alaiykum fa-kuntum ala a'aqabekum tankesuon (66).
Indeed, My verses were recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels.

Mustakbereena behi sameran tahjuruon (67).
Arrogant about it, conversing by night, speaking evil.

Afa-lam yaddabaruo alqawla am ja'ahum ma lam ya'ti aba-ahumuo alawwaleen (68).
Then Do they not ponder the word, Or had come to them that which had not come to their forefathers.

Am lam ya'refuo Rasulahum fa-hum lahuo munkeruon (69).
Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are deniers of Him.

Am yaquluona behi jennatun bal ja'ahum bel-haqqi wa aktharuhum lel-haqqi karehuon (70)
Or do they say in Him is madness, but He has come to them with the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth.

Wa lawi ettaba-a alhaqquo ahwa-ahum la-fasadati alsamawatuo wa alarduo wa man fehinna bal ataiynahum be-zekrehim fa-hum an zekrehim mu'reduon (71)
But if the truth had followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been corrupted, but We have brought to them their reminder, but they are turning away from their reminder.

Am tas'aluhum kharjan fa-kharajuo Rabbeka khaiyrun wa huwa khaiyruo alrazeqeen (72).
Or do You ask them for wage?, but the reward of Your Lord is better and He is the Best of Providers.

Wa innaka latad-uhum ela seratin mustaqeem (73).
And indeed, You invite them to a straight path.

Wa inna allazina la you'menuona bel-akherati ani alserati la-nakebuon (74).
And indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path.

Wa laww rahemnahum wa kashafna ma behim men durrin la-lajjuo fee tughyanehim ya'mahuon (75).
And if We had mercy on them, and We removed what was on them of adversity, they would persist in their transgression, wandering.

Wa laqad akhaznahum bel-azabi fama estakanuo le-Rabbehim wa ma yatadarra-uon (76).
And indeed, We have seized them with punishment, but they did not submit to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate.

Hatta iza fatahna alaiyhim baban za azabin shadeedin iza hum feehi mublesuon (77).
Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, behold! They will despair in it.

Wa huwa allazi ansha-a lakumuo alsam-a wa alabsara wa al-afedata qaleelan ma tashkuruon (78).
And He is the One who produced you, and made for you the hearing and the vision and the the hearts, little what is you give thanks.

Wa huwa allazi zara-akum fee alardi wa elaiyhi tuhsharuon (79).
And He is the One who multiplied you in the earth, and to Him you will be gathered.

Wa huwa allazi yuhyi wa youmetuo wa lahu ekhtelafuo al-laili wa alnahari afa-la ta'qeluon (80).
And He is the One who gives life and causes death, and to Him belongs the alternation of the night and the day, then Will you not understand?.

Bal qaluo methla ma qala alawwaluon (81).
But they say the like of what the former said.

Qaluo a-iza metna wa kunna turaban wa ezaman a-inna lamab-uthuon (82).
They say Is it that when we die and become dust and bones, indeed, Shall we be resurrected?.

Laqad wu-edna nahnuo wa aba-uona haza men qabluo in haza ella asateeruo al-awwaleen (83).
Indeed, we have been promised this, we and our fathers, before, indeed, this is nothing but the legends of the former people.

Qul le-mani alarduo wa man feeha in kuntum ta'lamuon (84).
Say to whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it if you know?.

Sa-yaquluona lellahi qul afala tazakkaruon (85).
They will say, to Allah, Say then Will you not be reminded?.

Qul man Rabbu alsamawati alssab-e wa Rabbu alarshi alazeem (86).
Say Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Great Throne?.

Sa-yaquluona lellahi qul afala tattaquon (87).
They will say, to Allah, Say then Will you not fear?.

Qul man be-yadehi malakutuo kulli shaiy-in wa huwa yuojeeruo wa la yuojaruo alaiyhi in kuntum ta'lamuon (88).
Say In whose Hand is the kingdom of everything, and He protects while none can protect against Him, if you know?.

Sa-yaquluona lellahi qul fa-anna tus-haruon (89).
They will say, to Allah, Say then, How are you deluded?.

Bal ataiynahum bel-haqqi wa innahum la-kazebuon (90).
But We have brought them the truth, and indeed, they are liars.

Ma-ttakhaza Allahu men waladin wa ma kana ma-ahuo men elahin izan la-zahaba kulluo elahin bema khalaqa wala-ala ba'duhum ala ba'din subhana Allahi amma yasefuon (91).
Allah did not take a son nor was there any god along with Him, then every god would have gone with what he created and some of them would have prevailed over the others, Glory to be Allah above what they describe.

Alemi alghaiybi wa alshahadati fata-ala amma youshrekuon (92).
The Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so Exalted is He above what they associate.

Qul Rabbi imma tuoreyanni ma you-aduon (93).
Say My Lord, If You are to show Me what they are promised.

Rabbi fala taj'alni fee alqawmi alzalemeen (94).
My Lord, then Do not place Me among the wrongdoing people.

Wa inna ala an nuoriyaka ma na-eduhum la-qaderuon (95).
And indeed, We are Able to show you what We have promised them.

Edfa' bellati heiya ahsanuo alsayyi-ata nahnuo a'lamuo bema yasefuon (96).
Repel with that which is better the evil, We know best what they describe.

Wa qul Rabbi a-auzuo beka men hamazati alshaiyateen (97).
And Say My Lord I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils.

Wa a-auzuo beka Rabbi an yahduruon (98).
And I seek refuge in You My Lord that they be present with Me.

Hatta iza ja-a ahadahumuo almawtuo qala Rabbi erje-uon (99).
Until when the death comes to one of them, he says My Lord Send me back.

La-alli a'maluo salehan feema taraktuo kalla innaha kalematun huwa qa-eluha wa men wara-ehim barzakhun ela yawmi youb-athuon (100).
That I may do righteous deeds in what I have left, nay! Indeed, it is a word he has to say, and behind them is a barrier until the day they are resurrected.

Faiza nufekha fee alsuori fa-la ansaba baiynahum yawm-izin wa la yatasa-aluon (101).
Then when the trumpet is blown, there will not be lineages among them that day nor will they ask one another.

Fa-man thaqulat mawazenuhuo fa-aulaeka humuo almuflehuon (102).
Then the one whose scales are heavy, then those are the successful.

Wa man khaffat mawazeenuhuo fa-aulaeka allazina khaseruo anfusahum fee jahannama khaleduon (103).
But the one whose scales are light, then those are the ones who have lost themselves in Hellfire, abiding forever.

Talfahuo wujuhahumuu alnaruo wa hum feeha kalehuon (104).
The fire will sear their faces, and they are frowning therein.

Alam takun ayati tutla alaiykum fa-kuntum beha tukazzebuon (105).
Were My verses not recited to you and you used to deny them?.

Qaluo Rabbana ghalabat alaiyna sheqwatuna wa kunna qawman dalleen (106).
They will say our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a stray people.

Rabbana akhrejna menha fa-in audna fa-inna zalemuon (107).
Our Lord Bring us out of it, then if we return, then indeed, we would be wrongdoers.

Qala ekhsa-uo feeha wa la tuokallemuon (108).
He will say Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me?.

Innahuo kana fareequn men ebadi yaquluona Rabbana amanna fa-ghfir lana wa-rhamna wa anta khaiyruo alrehemeen (109).
Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said our Lord we believed, so Forgive us, and have mercy on us, and You are the Best of the merciful.

Fa-ttakhaztumuhum sekhriyyan hatta ansawkum zekri wa kuntum menhum tad-hakuon (110).
But you took them in mockery until they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.

Inni jazaiytuhumo alyawma bema sabaruo annahum humuo alfa-ezuon (111).
Indeed, I have rewarded them this day for what they have been patient with, indeed, they are the winners.

Qala kam labethtum fee alardi adada seneen (112).
He will say How long did you remain on the earth in number of years?.

Qaluo labethna yawman aww ba'da yawmin fas-ali  al-addin (113).
They will say we remained a day or a part of a day, Ask those who count.

Qala in labethtum ella qalelan laww annakum kuntum ta'lamuon (114).
He will say you did not stay but for a little if only you had known.

Afa-hasebtum annama khalqnakum abathan wa annakum elaiyna la turjauon (115).
Then Did you think that We created you in vain, and that to Us you would not be returned.

Fata-ala Allahu Almaleku Alhaqqu la ilaha ella huwa Rabbu alarshi alkareem (116).
So Exalted is Allah, the King, the Truth, there is no god but He, the Lord of the Noble Throne.

Wa man yd-uo ma-a Allahi elahan akhara la burhana lahuo behi fa-innama hesabuhuo enda Rabbehi innahuo la youflehuo alkaferuon (117).
And whoever invokes along with Allah another god for which he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord, indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed.

Wa qul Rabbi eghfir wa-rham wa anta khaiyru alrahemeen (118).
And say My Lord Forgive and have mercy, and You are the Best of the merciful.

Simplified interpretation:

Surat Almu'minun begins with an affirmation of the success of the believers who will inherit the Firdaws followed by some of their characteristics in the worldly life, then Allah cites His great power in the creation of man and the heavens, and His countless blessings upon His servants including the rain, the gardens of various crops and fruits, and the cattle. Surat Almu'minun also includes some stories of the previous nations, starting with the Prophet Noah and the other generations after him all the way to the Prophet Moses, Aaron and Jesus. Then Allah assures that the infidels of Quraish did not differ from the infidels of the previous nations in their denial of the resurrection and the meeting with Allah on the day of resurrection although they acknowledge that Allah is the Creator of everything, so Allah describes their condition on the day of resurrection in comparison to the condition of the believers, and as narrated by Abdullah bin Alsa'ib: ''The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) led us in the morning prayer in Mecca, and began Surat Almu'minun but when He came to the mention of Moses and Aaron or to the mention of Jesus, a cough got the better of him, and He bowed".

Allah says in the first eleven verses (1-11) "Indeed, the believers have succeeded, those who are humble during their prayers, and those who turn away from the vain speech, and those who are doers of Zakah, and those who guard their private parts, except from their spouses or what their right hands possess, then indeed, they are not to be blamed, but whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors, and those who are careful about their trusts and their covenants, and those who maintain their prayers, those are the inheritors, those who will inherit the Firdaws, they will abide therein forever", that is, Allah assures that the believers have succeeded, then He describes some of the characteristics of them, the first of which is that their hearts are humble during their prayers for they pray in peace and do not look around them, rather their eyes are on the place of their prostration where as narrated by Anas bin Malik: "The Prophet (PBUH) said What is wrong with those people who look towards the sky during the prayer?, His talk grew stern while delivering this speech and He said they should stop, otherwise their eyesight would be taken away", and as narrated by Aisha: "I asked Allah's Messenger about looking hither and thither in prayer, He replied It is a way of stealing by which Satan takes away from the prayer of a person". The second characteristic of the believers is that they turn away from the vain speech as when they hear the vain speech, and the slander of the disbelievers and the deniers against Allah, His Messenger, and the Holy Quran, they do not indulge therein, rather, they turn away from it, the believers also pay Zakah (obligatory charity) that Allah has imposed on them.

The believers guard their private parts as they do not approach adultery or gays, except from their wives and those whom their right hands possess of the slave-girls, and if they do so, then they are not to be blamed but whoever seeks other than his wife or his slave-girls, then those are the transgressors; because adultery is forbidden and it is not one of the characteristics of the believers where Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said in Narration of Abu Hurayrah "When the adulterer commits illegal sexual intercourse, then he is not a believer at the time he is doing it", so they deserve to be punished by the legal punishment of adultery which is one hundred lashes for the unmarried, and lashing and stoning to death (The Rajm) for the married fornicator as mentioned in Aya (2) of Surat Alnoor. And if the believers are entrusted with trusts, they do not betray, rather they return them to their owners, or if they make a promise or contract they fulfill that, and because of its great importance, Allah says again that they maintain their prayers i.e. its timing, pillars, and duties.

Then Allah assures that the believers who are characterized by the previous qualities will be the inheritors of the Firdaws on the day of resurrection, and they will abide therein forever, and Allah's Messenger said in narration of Abu Hurayrah: "There is none among you but that he has two abodes, an abode in Paradise and an abode in Hell, if he dies and enters Hell, the people of Paradise inherit his abode, this is what Allah says "Those are the inheritors", and Allah's Messenger also said in narration of Abu Hurayrah: "If you ask Allah, Ask Him for the Firdaws which is the best and highest part of paradise, above it is the Throne of the Most Gracious, and from it originate the rivers of Paradise".

Allah says in the next five verses (12-16) "And indeed, We have created man from an extract of clay, then We made him a sperm-drop in a firm place, then We created the sperm-drop into clinging blood then We created the clinging blood into an embryonic lump, then We created the embryonic lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We produce him as another creation, so blessed is Allah, the Best of the Creators, then after that you will surely die, then indeed, you will be resurrected on the day of resurrection", that is, Allah confirms that He has made Adam from an extract of clay from the whole of the earth where Allah's Messenger said in narration of Abu Musa Alash'ari: "Allah created Adam from a handful which He took from the whole of the earth, so the children of Adam are in accordance with the earth: some red, some white, some black, some a mixture, also smooth and rough, bad and good", then Allah made the progeny of Adam from an extract of disdained water coming out from between the backbone of a man and the ribs of a woman as mentioned in Surat Altariq Aya (7), so the creation of man begins with a sperm-drop that settles in the woman's womb, then Allah turns the sperm-drop into clinging blood, the clinging blood into an embryonic lump, and the embryonic lump into bones, then Allah covered the bones with flesh, then Allah produced him as another creation where He breathed into him from His Spirit, and made for him the hearing and the vision and the the hearts as mentioned in Aya (9) of Surat Alsajdah, so blessed is Allah, the Best of creators, then man comes out from his mother's womb and lives in the worldly life as Allah wills, then he will surely die, and will be resurrected from the graves on the day of resurrection.

Allah says in the next two verses (17,18) "And indeed, We have created seven paths above you, and We are not unaware of the creation, and We have sent down water from the sky with a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and indeed, We are Able on taking it away", that is, Allah has created seven heavens layered on top of each other above man, and Allah is not unaware of the creation as nothing is hidden from him in the heavens nor on the earth, then Allah cites one of His blessings upon man as He is the One who has sent down the rain from the sky with a measure according to the need, not too much which spoils the earth, and not too little, rather it is sufficient for man, plants, and animals, and Allah causes the rain to settle in the earth through springs and rivers for man, birds, and animals, and to penetrate the earth with what He has given it of the ability to absorb it, and nourish the plants with it, and Allah is Able to take the rain away by preventing the rain or driving it to another land.

Allah says in the next four verses (19-22) "Then We produced for you thereby gardens of date-palms and grapes, for you in it are many fruits, and from them you eat, and a tree that comes out from Altour of Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat, and indeed, for you in the cattle is a lesson, We give you drink from what is in their bellies, and for you in them are many benefits, and of them you eat, and on them and on ships you are carried", that is, Allah has produced by the rain that He has sent down from the sky gardens of date-palm and grapes, and in these gardens are many fruits of different shapes and colors, and from them man eats, Allah also has produced by the rain the tree of olive that comes out from Altour mount in Sinai, Egypt, on which Allah has called His Prophet Moses as mentioned in Ayat (29,30) of Surat Alqasas, and the tree of olive produces oil and olive for those who eat, so Allah's Messenger said in narration of Umar bin Alkhattab: "Eat olive and use its oil for indeed, it is a blessed tree". Then Allah assures that there is a lesson for man in the cattle like camels, cows, and goats, where Allah provides man with milk found in the udders of cows and goats, and there are many benefits in them like meat, milk, cheese, butter, wool and so on, so he fulfills his need for food, drink, tilling the land, furniture, and clothes, and he fulfills other needs in carrying weights and traveling, where the camels carry his loads to a land he could not has reached except with difficulty to himself as Allah has stated in Surat Alnahl Aya (7), so the camels carry man on the land and the ships carry them on the sea.

Allah says in the next three verses (23-25) "And indeed, We have sent Noah to His people, so He said O My people! Worship Allah, you have no god other than Him, then Will you not fear?, but the chiefs who disbelieved from among His people said this is nothing but a human being like you, He wishes to assert superiority over you, and if Allah had willed, He would have sent down Angels, we have not heard of this from our forefathers, He is only a man in Him is madness, so wait for him until a while", that is, Allah has sent His Prophet Noah to His people in order to call them to worship Allah alone, so He said to them that they have no god other than Allahwhere they used to worship idols namely Wadd, Suwa', Yaghuth, and Ya'uq and Nasr as mentioned in Aya (23) of Surat Nooh, so He said to them Will you not fear that Allah's punishment befalls you when you worship other idols?, but the chiefs of His people denied Him and said to their people that the Prophet Noah is nothing but a human being like them, so How did Allah reveal the message to Him from among them?, and that He wishes to assert superiority over them by claiming that Allah has sent Him to them, and that they will be His followers, in addition, they said if Allah intended to send a Prophet, He would have sent Angels to convey His message, and we did not hear that Allah has sent a human being in the past ages from our ancestors and forefathers, and they said that the Prophet Noah is insane by claiming that Allah has singled Him out of revelation, so wait and be patient for Him until a while so that you may rest from Him.

Allah says in the next two verses (26,27) "He said My Lord, Help Me because they have denied Me, so We inspired to Him that construct the ship under Our eyes and our inspiration, then when Our command comes, and the oven gushes forth, then put into it from every two pairs, two, and your family except those of them against whom the word has preceded, and Do not address Me concerning those who have wronged, indeed, they are drowned", that is, the Prophet Noah stayed with His people for a thousand years minus fifty years calling them to worship Allah alone as mentioned in Aya (14) of Surat Alankaboot, but when He despaired of their belief, He asked Allah for help because they denied Him, thereupon, Allah inspired to Him to build a ship (The Ark) under Allah's sight and observation, and by Allah's inspiration of how to make it, then Allah gave Him a sign and said when Our command comes and the oven gushes forth, then He has to load upon the ship two of every pair, a male and a female from every kind of animals, plants, fruits, and to carry His family except those against whom the word of punishment has preceded including His son and His wife, and  Allah commanded the Prophet Noah not to address Him concerning those who have wronged, and ask respite for them, indeed, they are drowned in the flood

Allah says in the next three verses (28-30) "So when You and whoever is with You have boarded on the ship, then Say Praise be to Allah, the One who has saved Us from the wrongdoing people, and say My Lord Let Me land at a blessed landing place, and You are the Best of those who cause landing, Indeed, in that are signs, and indeed, We are testing", that is, Allah commanded the Prophet Noah to praise Him when he and whoever is with Him have boarded on the ship for He has saved them from the wrongdoing people and from drowning in the flood, and to ask Him for a blessed landing place, and Allah is the Best of those who cause landing, indeed, in that are signs for man where the rule of Allah is to save the believers and destroy the disbelievers, and Allah tests His servants by sending His Messengers with clear signs and proofs in order to distinguish the obedient from the disobedient.

Allah says in the next four verses (31-34) "Then We have produced after them a generation of others, and We have sent among them a Messenger from themselves that Worship Allah, you have no god other than Him, then Will you not fear?, but the chiefs from among His people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter, and We had given them luxury in the worldly life said this is nothing but a human being like you, He eats from what you eat and drinks from what you drink, and if you obey a human being like you, then indeed, you would then be losers", that is, Allah has produced after the destruction of the people of Noah another generation, and He has sent to them a Messenger from their clan in order to call them to worship Allah alone, so He said to them that they have no god other than Allah, Will you not fear that His punishment befalls you when you worship other idols?, but the chiefs of His people denied Him and denied the meeting with Allah on the day of resurrection and the reckoning of the Hereafter although Allah had given them luxury in the worldly life and extended the sustenance for them, but instead of acknowledging Allah's blessings upon them, they became arrogant and said to their people that their Messenger is nothing but a human being like them, he eats from what they eat and drinks from what they drink, so How did Allah reveal the message to Him from among them?, and they said to their people if you follow a human being like you, you will be losers of your honor and elevation in the worldly life.

Allah says in the next four verses (35-38) " Does He promise you that when you have died and become dust and bones that you will be brought out?, far fetched, far fetched, is what you are promised, it is nothing but our worldly life, we die and we live, and we will not be resurrected, He is nothing but a man who has invented a lie about Allah, and we are not believers in Him", that is, the chiefs of His people ruled out the resurrection and said to their people Does your Messenger promise you that when you are dead and turned into dust and bones that you will be brought out from the graves?, far fetched, far fetched is what you are promised of the resurrection and the Hereafter, it is nothing but our worldly life, we die and we live, and we will not be resurrected, your Messenger is nothing but a man who has invented a lie about Allah in what He claims and we will not believe in Him.

Allah says in the next three verses (39-41) "He said My Lord, Help Me because they have denied Me, He said after a little, they will surely become regretful, so the blast seized them with truth, and We made them scum, then away with the wrongdoing people", that is, when their Messenger despaired of their belief, He asked Allah for help because they denied Him, thereupon, Allah reassured Him and said that they will be regretful after a little time when Allah's punishment befalls them, so He destroyed them by the blast, and He made them insignificant thing that is carried away by the torrent and nothing is gained from it, then away with the wrongdoing people who have wronged themselves by denial, stubbornness, and disbelief.

Allah says in the next three verses (42-44) "Then We have produced after them generations of others, no nation can precede its term, nor can they delay it, then We sent Our Messengers successively, whenever there came to a nation its Messenger, they denied Him, so We made them to follow one another, and We made them statements, so away with a people who do not believe", that is, Allah has produced after the destruction of the previous generation other generations, no nation of them can precede its appointed time, nor can they delay it, then Allah has sent His Messengers successively to these generations, but whenever there came to a nation its Messenger, they denied what He came with from His Lord, therefore, Allah made them to follow one another in punishment and destruction, and He made them a statement and a lesson for the people, narrating their destruction, so away with a people who do not believe in Allah and His Messengers.

Allah says in the next five verses (45-49) "Then We sent Moses and His brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority, to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people, so they said Shall we believe in two human beings like ourselves while their people are slaves to us, so they denied them and were of those destroyed, and indeed, We gave Moses the book, so that they may be guided", that is, Allah has sent the Prophet Moses and His brother Aaron to Pharaoh and his chiefs with the clear proofs and Allah's signs, which are nine signs as Allah has stated in Surat Alisraa Aya (101), but they were arrogant and were a haughty people, and they said Shall we believe in two human beings like us while their people are slaves to us, so they denied them, then Allah drowned Pharaoh and his people in the sea and saved the Prophet Moses and those with Him as mentioned in Ayat (65,66) of Surat Alshu'araa, then Allah gave the Prophet Moses the Torah after He has destroyed Pharaoh and his people so that they may remember and be guided thereby.

Allah says in the next three verses (50-52) "And We made the son of Mary and His mother a sign and sheltered them within a high ground having level and flowing water, O Messengers! Eat from the good things, and Do righteous deeds, indeed, I am All-Knower of what you do, and indeed, this religion of yours is one religion, and I am Your Lord, so Fear Me", that is, Allah made the Prophet Jesus, the son of Mary, and His mother Mary a sign for the people that indicates His great power to do whatever He wills for He created Adam without a father or a mother, He created Eve from a male without a female, He created Jesus from a female (Mary) without a male as mentioned in Aya (91) of Surat Alanbiyaa, and He created the rest of the people from a male and a female, and Allah sheltered the Prophet Jesus and His mother on a high place on the ground and it is the best place where fertility, vegetation, and flowing water are. Then Allah commanded His Messengers to eat from the lawful and good food, and to do righteous deeds, and He is All-Knower of what you do as nothing of your deeds is hidden from Him, and He will recompense each for his deeds, and Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said in narration of Abu Hurayrah: "O people! Allah is good and He therefore, accepts only what is good, and Allah commanded the believers as He commanded the Messengers by saying ''O Messengers! Eat from the good things, and Do righteous deeds, indeed, I am All-Knower of what you do", and He said ''O those who believe! Eat from the good things that We gave you (Surat Albaqarah Aya 172), He then made a mention of a person who travels widely, his hair disheveled and covered with dust, he lifts his hands towards the sky O Lord, O Lord, whereas his diet is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothes are unlawful, and his nourishment is unlawful, How can then his supplication be accepted", then Allah assures His Messengers that the religion of theirs is one religion which is the call to worship Allah alone with no partners, and Allah is your Lord, so Fear Him lest His punishment befalls you as it befell those before you.

Allah says in the next four verses (53-56) "But they cut off their matter between them into sects, each faction rejoicing in what they have, so leave them in their negligence until a time, Do they think that what We provided for them of wealth and children, We are accelerating the good things to them?, but they do not perceive", that is, Allah has made it clear that the heavenly religion is one, as what He has legislated for Noah, Muhammad, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus is one law which is the worship of Allah alone, and Allah commanded the believers to act according to what He has legislated and imposed upon them, and not to differ in it as mentioned in Aya (13) of Surat Alshura, but the nations to whom the Messengers were sent had divided their religion, changed it, believed in some and disbelieved in some, just like the Christians and the Jews did with their religion as they became sects and differed among themselves on false opinions, and each faction of them rejoicing in what they have, where each of them claimed that he is right and none else is. Thereupon, Allah commanded His Messenger to leave those who divided their religion and went astray from the truth in their negligence and misguidance till the time of death and destruction, Do they think that what Allah provided for them of wealth and children is an evidence of Allah's love for them, and that Allah accelerates the good things for them where they claimed that they will not be punished for they are more in wealth and children as mentioned in Aya (15) of Surat Saba', but they do not perceive that their wealth and children are a trial for them, and they are the enjoyment of the worldly life, so they will not save them from Allah's punishment on the day of resurrection.

Allah says in the next five verses (57-61) "Indeed, those who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord, and those who believe in the signs of their Lord, and those who do not associate with their Lord, and those who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will return to their Lord, it is those who accelerate to the good things, and they are forerunners of them", that is, those who are apprehensive of Allah and fearful of Him despite their benevolence, faith, and good deeds, those who believe in Allah's signs, proofs, and arguments, those who do not worship anything with their Lord, rather they worship Him alone with no partners or equals, those who give what they give of good deeds while they are afraid that it will not be accepted from them; because they will return to Allah on the day of resurrection and He will inform them of what they used to do, so those whose characteristics are these, hasten to do good and righteous deeds and seek nearness to Allah by obeying Him, and they are forerunners to these deeds.

Allah says in the next six verses (62-67) "And We do not burden any soul except its capacity, and with Us is a book that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged, but their hearts are in negligence about this, and for them are deeds other than that, they are doers for it, until when We seize their wealthy ones with punishment, behold! they are crying, Do not cry today, indeed, you will not be helped from Us, indeed, My verses were recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, arrogant about it, conversing by night, speaking evil", that is, Allah informs about His justice in His laws over His servants in the worldly life where He does not burden a soul beyond its capacity, rather what it can bear and do, and on the day of resurrection He will reckon them according to their book of deeds that speaks the truth, and leaves nothing small or great except that it has enumerated as mentioned in Aya (49) of Surat Alkahf, so they will not be wronged, each according to his deeds, where the wrongdoers will be recompensed for their evil deeds and nothing will be added to their sins, whereas nothing will be deprived from the reward of the good-doers, then Allah assures that the hearts of the polytheists are in negligence and misguidance regarding the fact that their deeds are enumerated for them, so they have deeds other than the deeds of the believers which were shown above, they are doers of their evil deeds so that the argument will be established against them on the day of resurrection, so when Allah will seize their affluent ones with the punishment and vengeance on the day of resurrection, they will cry out and seek help, then it will be said to them Do not cry today, you will not be helped from Our punishment, then Allah says as a reprimand that the verses of the Holy Quran were recited to them, but they turned away from it, they were arrogant and proud of the Sacred Mosque (Almasjid Alharam) thinking that they are its guardians, and they used to stay up and converse within it at night, mentioning the Holy Quran with bad sayings as they say that it is poetry, that it is magic, and other false statement.

Allah says in the next four verses (68-71) "Then Do they not ponder the word, Or had come to them that which had not come to their forefathers, Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are deniers of Him, Or do they say in Him is madness, but He has come to them with the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth, but if the truth had followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been corrupted, but We have brought to them their reminder, but they are turning away from their reminder", that is, Allah says as a denunciation of the condition of the polytheists of Quraish who turned away from the Holy Quran Do they not ponder the Holy Quran so that they may know its lessons, proofs, and arguments, Or had come to them that which had not come to their forefathers so they turned away from it and abandoned reflecting on it, Or did they not know their Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) and His truthfulness and trustworthiness with which He was brought up, so they deny His saying on the pretext that they do not know Him, Or do they say that Muhammad is insane and He does not know what He says, then Allah assures that His Messenger has come to them with the truth and the straight religion, but most of them are averse to the truth, and if Allah responded to their desires, carried out the arrangement of matters according to their will, and left the truth that they hated, then the heavens, the earth, and whoever is on them of the Angels, the Jinn, and the men would have been corrupted; because Allah did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them except in truth as He has stated in Aya (3) of Surat Alahqaf, so Allah has brought to them their reminder which is the Holy Quran, but they turned away from it.

Allah says in the next three verses (72-74) "Or do You ask them for wage?, but the reward of Your Lord is better and He is the Best of Providers, and indeed, You invite them to a straight path, and indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path", that is, Allah addresses His Messenger Muhammad and says to Him Do You ask them for a wage for conveying them the message of Allah?, so they turned away from You, but what Allah gives You of reward is better than the pleasures and the wealth of the worldly life, and Allah is the Best of Providers where none can provide sustenance like Him, nor can bless with the same as His blessings, and indeed, Allah's Messenger invites them to a straight path which is the path of Allah, the One to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth as mentioned in Aya (53) of Surat Alshura, but those who do not believe in the resurrection and the reckoning of the Hereafter are deviating from the path of Allah, and from the religion which He has chosen for His servants.

Allah says in the next three verses (75-77) "And if We had mercy on them, and We removed what was on them of adversity, they would persist in their transgression, wandering, and indeed, We have seized them with punishment, but they did not submit to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, behold! They will despair in it", that is, if Allah had mercy on those who do not believe in the Hereafter, and removed the hardships from them, they would persist on their disbelief, tyranny, and stubbornness, and wander blindly in their misguidance, and indeed, Allah has seized them with a painful punishment which is the punishment of the smoke as mentioned in Ayat (10-16) of  Surat Aldukhan, but they did not submit to Allah nor did they humbly supplicated Him for they claimed that they would believe if the punishment was removed from them, but when the punishment was removed from them for a while, they reverted to disbelief, so on the day of resurrection, Allah will open for them a door of severe punishment in Hellfire, and they will despair of salvation and will surrender to torment and affliction.

Allah says in the next three verses (78-80) "And He is the One who produced you, and made for you the hearing and the vision and the the hearts, little what is you give thanks, and He is the One who multiplied you in the earth, and to Him you will be gathered, and He is the One who gives life and causes death, and to Him belongs the alternation of the night and the day, then Will you not understand?", that is, Allah cites some of His blessings upon man so that he may acknowledge Allah's great power where Allah is the One who has created mankind, and gave them hearing, sight, and hearts, but little is what mankind give thanks to their Lord for what He has bestowed upon them, and they have not appraised Him with true appraisal, He is the one who multiplied them in the earth with differs in languages and colors, and to Him they will be gathered from the graves for reckoning on the day of resurrection, and He is the only One who gives life and causes death, and to Him belongs the alternation of the night and the day as He is the One who has made the night and the day in succession, if one of them comes, the other goes, and it is not permissible for the night to overtake the day, nor is permissible for the day to overtake the night, then Will you not understand and reflect on the creation of yourselves and the creation of the universe around you that indicate Allah's oneness and His great ability to do whatever He wills.

Allah says in the next three verses (81-83) "But they say the like of what the former said, they say Is it that when we die and become dust and bones, indeed, Shall we be resurrected?, indeed, we have been promised this, we and our fathers, before, indeed, this is nothing but the legends of the former people", that is, the polytheists of Quraish who disbelieved in the Hereafter and denied the resurrection said the like of what the former nations said as they ruled out the occurrence of the day of resurrection, and ruled out that Allah will revive them after they had turned into bones and dust, and they said that they and their fathers have been promised the resurrection, and this is nothing but the legends of the former people that pass from one generation to another and it has no reality and will not occur.

Allah says in the next six verses (84-89) "Say to whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it if you know?, they will say, to Allah, Say then Will you not be reminded?, Say Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Great Throne?, they will say, to Allah, Say then Will you not fear?, Say In whose Hand is the kingdom of everything, and He protects while none can protect against Him, if you know?, they will say, to Allah, Say then, How are you deluded?", that is, Allah commanded His Messenger to ask the polytheists of Quraish Who is the Owner of the earth and whoever is in it of all kinds of creatures if they know, so they will acknowledge that the earth and whoever is therein belong to Allah alone, so Allah commanded His Messenger to say Will you not be reminded that only Allah is worthy of worship, to ask them Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Great Throne including the sun, the moon, the stars, and the Angels, so they will acknowledge that Allah is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Great Throne, then Allah commanded His Messenger to say Will you not fear His punishment for your disbelief and denial, and to ask them In whose Hand is the kingdom of everything and He protects whom He wills while none can protect others from His punishment, so they will acknowledge that Allah has the Dominion of everything, then Allah commanded His Messenger to say How are you deluded?, as they are extremely ignorant and fools for they are led astray and diverted from guidance to error, although they acknowledge the truth.

Allah says in the next three verses (90-92) "But We have brought them the truth, and indeed, they are liars, Allah did not take a son nor was there any god along with Him, then every god would have gone with what he created and some of them would have prevailed over the others, Glory to be Allah above what they describe, the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so Exalted is He above what they associate", that is, Allah has brought the polytheists the truth and the arguments which indicate that there is no god but He, and He has established the clear and conclusive evidence of that, but they did not believe in the truth and claimed that Allah has a son and associated other gods with Him, so Allah assured that they are liars in what they claim, and He distanced Himself from having a son and from having a partner for everything other than Him is created, and He is the Creator of everything, and if there were gods along with Him, each god would have take away what he has created, and they would have overcome each other, and would have quarreled among themselves, so the strong among them would defeat the weak, and the matter of the universe would not have been organized, thereupon, Allah absolves Himself from having a son and a partner and  says "Glory to be Allah above what they describe", the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed who knows everything that His servants see, and what is hidden from them, and nothing is hidden from Him in the heavens nor on the earth, and Exalted and High is Allah above what they associate with Him of partners and idols who do not create anything in the heavens or on the earth.

Allah says in the next six verses (93-98) "Say My Lord, If You are to show Me what they are promised, My Lord, then Do not place Me among the wrongdoing people, and indeed, We are Able to show you what We have promised them, Repel with that which is better the evil, We know best what they describe, and Say My Lord I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, and I seek refuge in You My Lord that they be present with Me", that is, Allah commanded His Messenger (PBUH) to say My Lord if You are to show Me what these polytheists are promised of Your punishment, My Lord, then Do not place Me among the wrongdoers and Do not destroy Me with them, and Save Me from Your punishment and wrath, then Allah assures that He is Able to show His Messenger what He has promised them as He is Able to hasten the punishment for them, then Allah commanded His Messenger to repel the evil with that which is better, so whoever offends you repel him from you by being kind to him and being patient with his wrongdoing, and do not repel the insulting by offending him, and Allah knows best what they describe of lies and denial, then Allah commanded His Messenger to seek refuge in Him from the incitements of the devils, and to seek refuge in Him that they be present with Him, and in the event that an evil whisper from Satan actually came to man, he must also seek refuge in Allah from Satan as Allah has stated in Aya (200) of Surat Ala'raf and Aya (36) of Surat Fussilat, and as narrated by Jabir: "I heard Allah's Messenger as saying: The Satan is present with anyone of you in everything he does, he is present even when he eats food, so if anyone of you drops a mouthful he should remove away anything filthy on it and eat it, and not leave it for the devil, and when he finishes, he should lick his fingers for he does not know in what portion of his food the blessing lies".

Allah says in the next three verses (99-101) "Until when the death comes to one of them, he says My Lord Send me back, that I may do righteous deeds in what I have left, nay! Indeed, it is a word he has to say, and behind them is a barrier until the day they are resurrected, then when the trumpet is blown, there will not be lineages among them that day nor will they ask one another", that is, Allah tells about the condition of the polytheist at death when he becomes certain of his error and sees the Angels who take his soul, so he will ask Allah for returning to the worldly life so that he may believe and do righteous deeds in what he has left behind of acts of worship, then Allah assures that it is a word he has to say for there is no way to return to the worldly life and there is a barrier behind them till the day of resurrection when they will be resurrected from the graves, so they will remain in the graves till the day of resurrection, and when the trumpet will be blown, the second blowing which is the blowing of resurrection as mentioned in Aya (68) of Surat Alzumar, there will not be lineages among them that day nor will they ask one another; for man will flee from all of his family out of the horrors of that day, but later they will ask one another, where some of the companions of Hellfire will approach others, asking one another, and the some of the companions of Paradise will approach others, asking one another as mentioned in Ayat (27,50) of Surat Alsaffat.

Allah says in the next three verses (102-104) "Then the one whose scales are heavy, then those are the successful, but the one whose scales are light, then those are the ones who have lost themselves in Hellfire, abiding forever, the fire will sear their faces, and they are frowning therein", that is, on the day of resurrection, all people will be brought before the scales of justice for the weighing of their deeds, then they will be divided into two groups; the first one is the ones whose scales are heavy, they are the believers whose their good deeds more than their bad deeds, so they are the successful ones for they will be saved from Hellfire and will enter Paradise, but as for the second group, they are the ones whose scales are light because their bad deeds are more than their good deeds, and as a recompense for their evil deeds, they will lost themselves in Hellfire and they will abide therein forever, and the fire will burn their faces while they are frowning therein, so wretched is their fate, and ugly is their look.

Allah says in the next four verses (105-108) "Were My verses not recited to you and you used to deny them?, they will say our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a stray people, Our Lord Bring us out of it, then if we return, then indeed, we would be wrongdoers, He will say Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me?", that is, Allah will say to the companions of Hellfire as a reprimand  for what they committed of disbelief, sins, and prohibitions Were the verses of the Holy Quran not recited to you and you used to deny them?, then they will confess that the argument has come to them, but they were too wretched to submit to it, rather their pleasures and whims overcame them so they were a stray people, so they will ask Allah to get them out of the fire and bring them back to the worldly life, and if they return to what they have done before, then they are wrongdoers and they deserve the punishment, but their hope will cut off and Allah will say to them Stay in it humiliated and Do not speak to Me, so Do not return to this question of yours.

Allah says in the next three verses (109-111) "Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said our Lord we believed, so Forgive us, and have mercy on us, and You are the Best of the merciful, but you took them in mockery until they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them, indeed, I have rewarded them this day for what they have been patient with, indeed, they are the winners", that is, Allah will remind the companions of Hellfire with their sins in the worldly life, and will say that there was a party of His servants who believed and used to ask Allah for forgiveness and mercy for they acknowledge that Allah is the Best of the merciful, but you used to mock at them, and your mockery of them continued until it made you forget My remembrance and distracted you from it, and you used to laugh at their worship, then Allah will assure them that He will reward those who believed in Him because of their patient over what they used to suffer from the harm of their ridicule and laughter at them in the worldly life, so they are the winner of bliss, safety, and happiness in Paradise.

Allah says in the next four verses (112-115) "He will say How long did you remain on the earth in number of years?, they will say we remained a day or a part of a day, Ask those who count, He will say you did not stay but for a little if only you had known, then Did you think that We created you in vain, and that to Us you would not be returned", that is, Allah will ask the companions of Hellfire How long was their stay in the worldly life by numbers of years, so they will say we remained a day or a part of day, so Ask those who count the months and years, then Allah will assure them that it was a short period of time, and if only they had known that, they would not have preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter, nor disbelief over faith, so Allah addresses them and says Did you think that you were created in vain without a wisdom so that you live as the cattle live without reward or punishment, and that you will not returned to Us on the day of resurrection, unquestionably, Allah did not create the Jinn and mankind except that they worship Him as He has stated in Aya (56) of Surat Aldhariyat, so they will be returned to Him on the day of resurrection and He will reward each for his deeds.

Allah says in the last three verses (116-118) "So Exalted is Allah, the King, the Truth, there is no god but He, the Lord of the Noble Throne, and whoever invokes along with Allah another god for which he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord, indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed, and say My Lord Forgive and have mercy, and You are the Best of the merciful", that is, Allah, the King, the Truth is Exalted above what the disbelievers describe of having a son, partners, or equals, and of creating anything in vain, there is no god but Him, the Lord of the noble Throne, therefore, Allah threatens whoever invokes along with Him another god for which he has no proof that makes him worthy of worship, then his reckoning is only with Allah, and He will punish Him with a severe punishment in Hellfire for the disbelievers will not succeed and their abode will be Hellfire, abiding therein forever, then Allah commanded His Messenger to ask Him forgiveness and mercy for He is the Best of the merciful who ever has mercy on a sinner where He accepts his repentance, and does not punish him after that.
