29- Surat Alankaboot

69 Verses Meccan (revealed in Mecca)

A'auzu Bellahi mena alshaiytani alrajeem

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan

Besmi Ellahi Alrhmani Alraheem

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Alif Lam Meem (1).
Alif Lam Meem.

A-haseba alnasuo an youtrakuo a yaquluo amanna wa hum la yuoftanuon (2).
Do people think that they will be left because they say we believe, and they will not be tried.

Wa laqad fatanna allazina men qablehim fala-ya'lamanna Allahu allazina sadaquo wala-ya'lamanna alkazebeen (3).
And We have tried those before them, and Allah may know those who are truthful, and He may know the liars.

Am haseba allazina ya'maluona alsayyi-ati an yasbequona sa-a ma yahkumuon (4).
Or do those who do the evils think that they can outdo Us, evil is what they judge.

Man kana yarjuo leqaa Allahi fa-inna ajala Allahi la-atin wa huwa Alsamee-uo Alaleem (5).
Whoever hopes meeting with Allah, then indeed, the term of Allah is surely coming, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knower.

Wa man jahada fa-innama yuojaheduo le-nafsehi inna Allaha la-ghaniyyun ani alalameen (6).
And whoever strives, then he only strives for himself, indeed, Allah is Free of need of the worlds.

Wa allazina amanuo wa ameluo alsalehati la-nukafferanna anhum sayyi-atehim wala-najzeyannahum ahsana allazi kanuo ya'maluon (7).
And those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will expiate from them their evil deeds, and We will surely reward them the best of what they used to do.

Wa-wassayna alinsana be-waledaiyhi husnan wa in jahadaka le-tushreka bi ma laiytha laka behi elmun fa-la tute'huma elaiyya marje-ukum fa-unabbe-ukum bema kuntum ta'maluon (8).
And We have enjoined upon man with goodness to his parents, and if they strive against you to associate with Me what you have not any knowledge of it, then Do not obey them, then to Me is your return, then I will inform you of what you used to do.

Wa allazina amanuo wa ameluo alsalehati la-nudkhelannahum fee alsaleheen (9).
And those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will surely admit them among the righteous.

Wa mena alnasi man yaquluo amanna be-llahi fa-iza auzeya fee ellahi ja'ala fetnata alnasi ka-azabi ellahi wala-in ja-a nasrun men Rabbeka la-yaqulunna inna kunna ma-akum awa laiytha Allahu be-a'lama bema fee suduri al-alameen (10).
And of the people is he who says we believe in Allah, but when he is harmed in Allah, he considers the trial of the people as the punishment of Allah, but if victory comes from Your Lord, they surely say indeed, we were with you, Is not that Allah knows best of what is in the breasts of the worlds?.

Wala-ya'lamanna Allahu allazina amanuo wala-ya'lamanna almunafeqeen (11).
And Allah may know those who believe, and He may know the hypocrites.

Wa qala allazina kafaruo le-llazina amanuo ettabe-uo sabeelana wal-nahmel khatayakum wa ma hum be-hameleena men khatayahum men shaiy-in innahum la-kazebuon (12).
And those who disbelieve say to those who believe Follow our way, and we will surely carry your sins, but they are not going to carry anything of their sins, indeed, they are liars.

Wala-yahmelunna athqalahum wa athqalan ma-a athqalehim wala-yusa'lunna  yawma alqeiyamati amma kanuo yaftaruon (13).
But they will surely carry their burdens and burdens with their burdens, and they will surely be questioned on the day of resurrection about what they used to invent.

Wa laqad arsalna nuhan ela qawmehi fa-labetha feehim alfa sanatin ella khamseena aman fa-akhazahumuo altufanuo wa hum zalemuon (14).
And indeed, We sent Noah to His people, and He remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years, then the flood seized them while they were wrongdoers.

Fa-anjaiynahuo wa as-haba alsafenati wa ja'alnaha ayatan lel-alameen (15).
But We saved Him and the companions of the ship, and We made it a sign for the worlds.

Wa ibraheema iz qala le-qawmehi e'budu Allaha wa-ttaquhuo zalekum khaiyrun lakum in kuntum ta'lamuon (16).
And Abraham when He said to His people Worship Allah and Fear Him, that is better for you if you know.

Innama ta'buduona men duoni ellahi awthanan wa takhluquna efkan inna allazina ta'buduona men duoni ellahi la yamlekuona lakum rezqan fa-btaghuo enda Allahi alrezqa wa'buduhuo wa-shkuruo lahuo elaiyhi turja-uon (17).
You only worship idols besides Allah, and you create a falsehood, indeed, those whom you worship besides Allah do not possess any provision for you, so Seek the provision with Allah, and Worship Him, and Give thanks to Him, to Him you will be returned.

Wa in tukazzebuo fa-qad kazzaba aumamun men qablekum wa ma ala alrasuli ella albalaghuo almubeen (18).
And if you deny, then indeed, nations before you had denied, and is not upon the Messenger except the clear conveyance.

Awa-lam yarraww kaiyfa youbde-uo Allahu alkhalqa thumma you-eduhuo inna zaleka ala Allahi yaseer (19).
Do they not see how Allah begins the creation, then He repeats it, indeed, that is easy for Allah?.

Qul seeruo fee alardi fa-nzuruo kaiyfa bada-a alkhalqa thumma Allahu younshe-uo alnash-ata alakherata inna Allaha ala kulli shaiy-in Qadeer (20).
Say Travel in the land, and See how He began the creation, then Allah will produce the last creation, indeed, Allah is All-Powerful over everything.

Youazebbuo man yasha-uo wa yarhamuo man yasha-uo wa elaiyhi tuqlabuon (21)
He punishes whom He wills, and has mercy on whom he wills, and to Him you will be returned.

Wa ma antum be-mu'jezeena fee alardi wa la fee alsama-ee wa ma lakun men duoni ellahi men waliyyin  wa la naseer (22).
And you will not cause failure on the earth nor in the heaven and you have not besides Allah any protector or any helper.

Wa allazina kafaruo be-ayati ellahi wa leqa-ehi aulaeka ya-esuo men rahmati wa aulaeka lahum azabun aleem (23).
And those who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and the meeting with Him, those have despaired of My mercy, and those for them a severe punishment.

Fa-ma kana jawaba qawmehi ella an qaluo auqtuluhuo aww harrequhuo fa-anjahuo Allahu mena alnari inna fee zaleka la-ayatin le-qawmin you'menuon (24).
And the answer of His people was not except they said Kill Him, or Burn Him, but Allah saved Him from the fire, indeed, in that are signs for a people who believe.

Wa qala innama ettakhaztum men duoni ellahi awthanan mawaddatan baiynakum fee alhayati alduonya thumma yawma alqeiyamati yakfuruo ba'dukum be-ba'din wa yal'anuo ba'dukum ba'dan wa ma'wakumuo alnaru wa ma lakum men nasereen (25).
And He said, you have only taken idols besides Allah out of love among you in the worldly life, then on the day of resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another, and your abode will be the fire, and you will have no helpers.

Fa-amana lahuo lutun wa qala inni muhajerun ela Rabbi innahuo huwa Alazeezuo alhakeem (26).
And Lot believed in Him, and said I am emigrating to My Lord, indeed, He is Almighty, All-Wise.

Wa wahabna lahuo es-haqa wa ya'quba wa ja'alna fee zurriyyatehi alnubuwwata wa alketaba wa ataynahuo ajrahuo fee alduonya wa innahuo fee alakherati la-mena alsaleheen (27)
And We granted Him Issac and Jacob and We placed in His progeny the prophethood and the Book, and We gave Him His reward in the world, and indeed, He is of the righteous in the Hereafter.

Wa lutan iz qala le-qawmehi innakum la-ta'tuona alfaheshata ma sabaqakum beha men ahadin mena al-alameen (28).
And Lot, when He said to His people, indeed, you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from the worlds.

A-innakum la-ta'tuona alrejala wa taqta-uona alsabeela wa ta'tuona fee nadi-kumuo almunkara fama kana jawaba qawmehi ella an qaluo e'tena be-azabi ellahi in kunta mena alsadeqeen (29).
Is it that you approach the men and you cut off the road and commit evil in your meetings?, and the answer of His people was not except they said Bring us the punishment of Allah if you are of the truthful.

Qala Rabbi ensurni ala alqawmi almufsedeen (30).
He said My Lord, help Me against the corrupting people.

Wa lamma ja'at rusuluna ibrahima bel-bushra qaluo inna muhlekuo ahli hazehi alqariyati inna ahlaha kanuo zalemeen (31).
And when Our Messengers came to Abraham with the glad tidings, they said, we are going to destroy the people of this town, indeed, its people are wrongdoers.

Qala inna feeha lutan qaluo nahnuo a'alamuo be-man feeha la-nunajjeyannahuo wa ahlahuo ella emra-atahuo kant mena alghabereen (32)
He said, indeed, Lot is in it, they said, we know best who is in it, we will surely save Him and His family except His wife, she is of those who remain behind.

Wa lamma an ja'at rusuluna lutan see-a behim wa daqa behim zar-an wa qaluo la takhaf wa la tahzan inna munajjuka wa ahlaka ella emra-ataka kant mena alghabereen (33).
And when Our Messengers came to Lot, He was distressed for them and felt straitened for them, uneasy, and they said, Do not fear and Do not grieve, indeed, we are going to save you and your family except Your wife, she is of those who remain behind.

Inna munzeluona ala ahli hazehi alqariyati rejzan mana alsama-ee bema kanuo yafsuquon (34).
Indeed, we are going to bring down on the people of this town a punishment from the sky because they were disobeying.

Wa laqad tarakna menha ayatan bayyinatan le-qawmin ya'qeluon (35).
And indeed, We have left from it a clear sign for a people who understand.

Wa ela madiyana akhahum shu-ayban fa-qala ya qawmi e'buduo Allaha wa-rjuo alyawma alakhera wa la ta'thaww fee alardi mufsedeen (36).
And to Madyan their brother Shu'ayb, and He said O My people! Worship Allah and Hope the last day, and Do not roam in the earth as corrupters.

Fa-kazzabuhuo fa-akhazat-humuo alrajfatuo fa-asbahuo fee darehim jathemeen (37).
But they denied Him, so the earthquake seized them, and they became in their homes fallen recumbent.

Wa adan wa thamuda wa qad tabayyana lakum men masakenehim wa zayyana lahumuo alshaiytanuo a'malahum fa-saddahum ani alsabeeli wa kanuo mustabsereen (38).
And Ad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their dwellings, and Satan has adorned for them their deeds, so he prevented them from the way, and they were insightful.

Wa qaruona wa fer'awna wa hamana wa laqad ja-ahum musa bel-bayyinati fa-stakbaruo fee alardi wa ma kanuo sabeqeen (39).
And Qarun and Pharaoh and Haman, and indeed, Moses came to them with clear proofs, but they were arrogant in the earth and they were not to outdone.

Fa-kullan akhazna be-zanbehi fa-menhum man arsalna alaiyhi haseban wa menhum man akhazat-huo alsaiyhatuo wa menhum man khasafna behi alarda wa menhum man aghraqna wa ma kana Allahu le-yazlemahum wa laken kanuo anfusahum yazlemuon (40).
So We seized each for his sin, so among them were those upon whom we sent a storm of stones, and among them were those who were seized by the blast, and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned, so Allah was not to wrong them, but they were wronging themselves.

Mathaluo allazina ettakhazuo men duoni ellahi awlaiya-a ka-mathali alankabooti ettakhazat baiytan wa inna awhana albuyuti la-baiytuo alankabuoti laww kanuo ya'lamuon (41).
The example of those who take protectors besides Allah is like the spider who takes a house, and indeed, the weakest house is surely the house of the spider if only they know.

Inna Allaha ya'lamuo ma yad-uona men duonehi men shaiy-in wa huwa Alazeezuo Alhakeem (42).
Indeed, Allah knows whatever thing they invoke besides Him, and He is Almighty, All-Wise.

Wa telka alamthaluo nadrebuha lel-nasi wa ma ya'qeluha ella al-alemuon (43).
And these examples We cites to people, and no one understands them except those of knowledge.

Khalaqa Allahu alsamawati wa larda bel-haqqi inna fee zaleka la-ayatan lel-mu'meneen (44).
Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth, indeed, in that is a sign for the believers.

Autluo ma auheya elaiyka mena alketabi wa aqemi alsalata inna alsalata tanha ani alfahsha-e wa almunkari wa la-zekruo Allahi akbaruo wa Allahu ya'lamuo ma tasna-uon (45).
Recite what has been revealed to You of the book, and Establish the prayer, indeed, the prayer prohibits from immorality and evil, and surely the remembrance of Allah is greatest, and Allah knows what you do.

And do not argue the people of the book except by which it is best except those who wronged from them, and say we believe in what was sent down to us, and what was sent down to you, and our God and Your God is One, and to Him we are Muslims.

Wa kazaleka anzalna elaiyka alketaba fa-allazina ataiynahum alketaba you'menuon behi wa men hauolaee man you'menuo behi wa ma yajhaduo be-ayatena ella alkaferuon (47)
And thus We have sent the book to you, so those to whom We have given the book believe in it, and among these is who believe in it, and none rejects Our verses except the disbelievers.

Wa ma kunta tatluo men qablehi men ketabin wa la takhuttuhuo be-yameeneka izan la-rtaba almubteluon (48)
And You did not recite any book before it, nor did You write it with Your right hand, otherwise, the adherents of falsehood would have doubted.

Bal huwa ayatun bayyinatun fee suduri allazina autuo alelma wa ma yajhaduo be-ayatena ella alzalemuon (49).
But it is clear verses in the breasts of those who are given the knowledge, and none rejects our verses except the wrongdoers.

Wa qaluo lawla aunzela alaiyhi ayatun men Rabbehi qul innama alayatuo enda Allahi wa innama ana nazeerun mubeen (50).
And they said, why not signs are sent down to Him from His Lord?, Say the signs are only with Allah and I am only a clear warner.

Awa lam yakfehim anna anzalna alaiyka alketaba yuotla alaiyhim inna fee zaleka la-rahmatan wa zekra le-qawmin you'menuon (51).
And Is not sufficient for them that We have sent down to You the book that is recited to them?, indeed, in that is a mercy and a reminder for a people who believe.

Qul kafa bellahi baiyni wa baiynakum shaheedan ya'lamuo me fee alsamawati wa alardi wa allazina amanuo bel-bateli wa kafaruo bellahi aulaeka humuo alkhaseruon (52).
Say sufficient is Allah between Me and you as a Witness, He knows what is in the heavens and the earth, and those who believe in falsehood and disbelieve in Allah, those are the losers.

Wa yasta'jelunaka bel-azabi wa lawla ajalun musamman laja-ahumuo alazabuo wa la-ya'tiyannahum baghtatan wa hum la yash-uruon (53).
And they ask You to hasten the punishment and if not an appointed time, the punishment would have come to them, and it will surely come to them suddenly while they do not perceive.

Yasta'jelunaka bel-azabi wa inna jahannama la-muhetatun bel-kafereen (54).
They ask You to hasten the punishment, and indeed, Hellfire will surely surround the disbelievers.

Yawma yaghshahumuo alazabuo men fawqehim wa men tahti arjulehim wa yaquluo zuquo ma kuntum ta'maluon (55).
The day when the punishment will cover them, from above them and from under their feet, and He will say, Taste what you used to do.

Ya-ebadiya allazina amanuo inna adri wase-atun fa-eyyaya fa'buduon (56).
O My servants who believe! indeed, My earth is spacious, so worship only Me.

Kulluo nafsin za-eqatuo almawti thumma elaiyna turja-uon (57).
Every soul will taste the death, then to Us you will be returned.

Wa allazina amanuo wa ameluo alsalehati la-nubawwe-annahum mena aljannati ghurafan tajree men tahteha alanharuo khaledeena feeha ne'ma ajruo al-ameleen (58)
And those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will give them in Paradise chambers beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein, so excellent is the reward of the doers.

Allazina sabaruo wa ala Rabbehim yatawakkaluon (59).
Those who are patient and put their trust upon their Lord.

Waka-ayyin men dabbatin la tahmeluo rezqaha Allahu yarzuquha wa eyyakum wa huwa Alsamee-uo Alaleem (60).
And how many of a moving creature that does not carry its provision, Allah provides for it and for you, and He is All-Hearing, All-knower.

Wala-in sa'altahum man khalaqa alsamawati wa alarda wa sakhkhara alshamsa wa laqamara, la-yaqulunna Allahu, fa-anna you'fakuon (61).
And If You ask them Who created the heavens and the earth, and subjected the sun and the moon, they would say, Allahso how are they being turned away?.

Allahu yabsutuo alrezqa leman yasha-uo men ebadehi wa yaqderuo lahuo, inna Allaha be-kulli shaiy-in aleem (62).
Allah extends the provision for whom He wills of His servants, and restricts for him, and indeed, Allah is All-Knower of everything.

Wala-in sa'altahum man nazzala mena alsama-ee ma-an fa-ahya behi alarda men ba'di mawteha la-yaqulunna Allahu, quli alhamduo lellahi bal aktharuhum la ya'qeluon (63).
And If You ask them Who sends down water from the sky, then revives thereby the earth after its death, they would say, Allah, Say, praise be to Allah, but most of them do not understand.

Wa ma hazehi alhayatuo alduonya ella lahwun wa la-ebun wa inna aldara alakherata la-heiya alhayawanuo laww kanuo ya'lamuon (64).
And this worldly life is nothing but an amusement and play, and indeed, the abode of the Hereafter is the real life if only they know.

Fa iza rakebuo fee alfulki da'awuo Allaha mukhlessena lahuo aldeena fa-lamma najjahum ela albarri iza hum youshre-kuon (65).
And when they ride on a ship, they call upon Allah, being sincere to Him in religion, but when He rescued them to the land, then behold!, they associate.

Le-yakfuruo bema ataiynahum wa le-ytamatta-uo fa-sawfa ya'lamuon (66).
That they deny what We have granted them, and that they may enjoy, but they will know.

Awa lam yaraww anna ja'alna haraman amenan wa youtakhattafuo alnasuo men hawlehim afa-belbateli you'menuona wa bene'mati ellahi yakfuruon (67)
Do they not see that We made a secure sanctuary, while the people around them are being snatched away?, then Do they believe in falsehood, and they disbelieve in the favor of Allah.

Wa man azlamuo memmani eftara ala Allahi kazeban aww kazzaba bel-haqqi lamma ja'ahuo a-laiytha fee jahannama mathwan lel-kafereen (68).
And who is more unjust than he who invents a lie about Allah or denies the truth when it has come to him, Is there not in Hellfire an abode for the disbelievers?.

Wa allazina jahaduo feena la-nahdeyannahum subulana wa inna Allaha lama-a almuhseneen (69).
And those who strive for Us, We will certainly guide them to Our ways, indeed, Allah is with the good doers.

Simplified interpretation:

Surat Alankaboot begins with three letters of the Arabic language, just like 28 Surahs of the Holy Quran that start with individual letters ranging from one to five letters. It is noticeable that in all 29 Surahs the book or the Holy Quran is mentioned whether it is immediately after these letters or it is included in the Surah or even at the end of it. It is a challenge from Allah, Almighty, to the infidels of Quraish, as if Allah says to them this is the book in the letters of the language you speak, but you will not be able to produce the like of it, and He has already challenged them in Aya (88) of Surat Alisraa "Say, if mankind and the Jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants". As for the current Surah, it begins with three letters "Alif, Lam, and Meem" or "A, L, and M" in English, then Allah says in Aya (51) "And Is not sufficient for them that We have sent down to You the book that is recited to them?, indeed, in that is a mercy and a reminder for a people who believe", but the knowledge of these letters remains with Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

Allah says in the first four verses (1-4) "Alif Lam Meem, Do people think that they will be left because they say we believe, and they will not be tried, and We have tried those before them, and Allah may know those who are truthful, and He may know the liars, Or do those who do the evils think that they can outdo Us, evil is what they judge", that is, Allah, Almighty tests His faithful servants according to what they have of faith, so they will not be left without trials and afflictions because they say we believe in Allah, and Allah has tasted those before where as narrated by Khabbab Bin Alart: "We complained to Allah's Messenger while He was leaning against His sheet cloak in the shade of Alka'ba, we said Will You ask Allah to help us, Will You invoke Allah for us?, He said: Among those who were before you, a believer used to be seized and a pit used to be dug for him, and then he used to placed in it, then a saw used to be brought and put on his head which would be split into two halves, his flesh might be combed with iron combs, yet, all that did not cause him to revert from his religion, By Allah! this religion will be completed till a rider goes from san'a to Hadramout fearing nobody except Allah and the wolf lest it should trouble his sheep, but you are impatient", and as narrated by Abdullah: "It is as if I can see the Messenger of Allah, telling us the story of one of the Prophets His people beat Him, and He was wiping the blood from His face and saying O Lord! forgive My people for they do not know". So Allah puts the believers in a trial in order to distinguish those who are true in their claims of faith from those who are liars in their words and claims. But as for those who do the evils and do not enter the faith, they should not think that they will not get rid of the trials; because they can not outdo Allah, and the punishment awaits them in the worldly life and the Hereafter.

Allah says in the next three verses (5-7) "Whoever hopes meeting with Allah, then indeed, the term of Allah is surely coming, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knower, and whoever strives, then he only strives for himself, indeed, Allah is Free of need of the worlds, and those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will expiate from them their evil deeds, and We will surely reward them the best of what they used to do", that is, whoever hopes meeting with Allah in the Hereafter, and he does righteous deeds hoping for what Allah has of great reward, then Allah will fulfill his hope for the day of resurrection will inevitably happen, and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knower where nothing in the heavens nor on the earth is hidden from Him. So whoever strives, then he only strives for himself; because the benefit of his belief and righteous deeds will only return to himself and Allah is Free of need of the worlds as if all people disbelieve, they will not harm Allah at all, but He does not like disbelief for His servants as He has stated in Aya (7) of Surat Alzumar, and those who believe and do righteous deeds, Allah will remove form them their evil deeds and the worst of what they did, and reward them according to the best of what they used to do.

Allah says in the next two verses (8,9) "And We have enjoined upon man with goodness to his parents, and if they strive against you to associate with Me what you have not any knowledge of it, then Do not obey them, then to Me is your return, then I will inform you of what you used to do, and those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will surely admit them among the righteous", that is, Allah has enjoined upon man a good treatment of his parents, but if they strive against man and forced Him to associate partners and idols with Allah, then he should not obey them, but he should accompany them in the worldly life with kindness and help them when needed as mentioned in Aya (15) of Surat Luqman, and as narrated by Mus'ab Bin Sa'd that his father Sa'd said: "Four Ayat were revealed about me, and He mentioned the story, the mother of Sa'd said Did not Allah commanded you to honor (your parents) By Allah! I will not eat or drink anything until I die or you renounce Islam, he said, so when they wanted to make her eat, they would force her mouth open, so this Aya was revealed "And We have enjoined upon man with goodness to his parents, and if they strive against you to associate with Me what you have not any knowledge of it, then Do not obey them, then to Me is your return, then I will inform you of what you used to do", then Allah assures that all mankind will return to Him on the day of resurrection, then He will inform them of what they used to do in the worldly life, so Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds among the righteous and they will be the companions of Paradise.

Allah says in the next two verses (10,11) "And of the people is he who says we believe in Allah, but when he is harmed in Allah, he considers the trial of the people as the punishment of Allah, but if victory comes from Your Lord, they surely say indeed, we were with you, Is not that Allah knows best of what is in the breasts of the worlds?, and Allah may know those who believe, and He may know the hypocrites", that is, Allah tells about the hypocrites who claim faith with their tongues but it did not reach their hearts, so when a trial and tribulation came to them, and the polytheists forced them to apostate from their religion and tortured them, they consider the trial and the punishment of the people as the punishment of Allah, then they turned away from Islam, and they would not have hesitated over the apostasy except a little as mentioned in Aya (14) of Surat Alahzab, but if victory comes to the Muslims from Allah, and He granted them conquest and spoils, they will say to the Muslims we were with you, so Is not that Allah knows best of what is in the breasts of the worlds even if they show otherwise?, unquestionably, Allah knows best what they declare and what they conceal, but He puts them in a trial in order to distinguish those who truly believe in Him from the hypocrites who declare belief and conceal disbelief.

Allah says in the next two verses (12,13) "And those who disbelieve say to those who believe Follow our way, and we will surely carry your sins, but they are not going to carry anything of their sins, indeed, they are liars, but they will surely carry their burdens and burdens with their burdens, and they will surely be questioned on the day of resurrection about what they used to invent", that is, the polytheists of Quraish said to those who believed in Allah and His Messenger turn back from your religion and follow our religion and we will carry your sins if there is a resurrection as you claim, thereupon, Allah assures that they will not carry anything of their sins and they are liars, rather, they will carry their own burdens and burdens with their burdens; because they will carry the burdens of their followers along with their burdens without detracting anything of the burdens of their followers as mentioned in Aya (25) of Surat Alnahl ''That they may bear their own burdens in full on the day of resurrection and some of the burdens of those who they misguide without knowledge", and Allah's Messenger said in narration of Abu Hurayrah: "Whoever calls people to true guidance will have a reward equal to that of those who follow him, and that does not detract anything of their reward, and whoever calls people to misguidance will have a sin equal to that of those who follow him, and that does not detract anything of their sins" (Sahih Muslim 2674), and He also said in narration of Abdullah Bin Mas'ud: ''No person who is killed unjustly, but the share falls upon the first son of Adam for He was the first to introduce killing" (Sahih Albukhari 7321), so they will surely be questioned on the day of resurrection about what they used to invent of false promises to their followers.

Allah says in the next two verses (14,15) "And indeed, We sent Noah to His people, and He remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years, then the flood seized them while they were wrongdoers, but We saved Him and the companions of the ship, and We made it a sign for the worlds", that is, the Prophet Noah stayed with His people for a thousand years minus fifty years calling them to worship Allah alone, night and day, publicly and secretly but His call increased them not except fleeing from the truth as mentioned in Surat Noah Ayat (5-9), and only a few of them believed with Him, so Allah drowned the disbelievers in the flood while they were wrongdoing; because after this long period they did not believe, and the warning did not benefit them, and Allah commanded the Prophet Noah to build a ship and carry the believers on it except His wife and His son, then Allah saved Noah and the companions of His Ark, then Allah made the Ark on which He saved Him and His companions a sign for the worlds as it is a reminder for the worlds of Allah's grace upon them, and how He saved the believers from the flood and how He drowned the disbelievers.

Allah says in the next three verses (16-18) "And Abraham when He said to His people Worship Allah and Fear Him, that is better for you if you know, You only worship idols besides Allah, and you create a falsehood, indeed, those whom you worship besides Allah do not possess any provision for you, so Seek the provision with Allah, and Worship Him, and Give thanks to Him, to Him you will be returned, and if you deny, then indeed, nations before you had denied, and is not upon the Messenger except the clear conveyance", that is, the Prophet Abraham called His people to worship Allah alone with no partner, and to fear Him sincerely, and that is better for them if they know; for if they do so, they will get good, and the evil will be repelled from them in the worldly life and the Hereafter, then He told them that they only worship idols besides Allah that do not benefit nor harm, but rather they are falsehood as they create and carve them with their own hands, and they do not possess any provision for them and they have nothing, so Abraham commanded them to seek the provision from Allah alone, to worship Him alone, and to give thanks to Him for what He has bestowed upon them, and to Him they will be returned on the day of resurrection, and if they denied their Messenger, indeed, many nations before them had denied their Messengers, so Allah inflicted upon them His wrath and punishment, they only follow their footsteps, so wait for Allah's punishment, and is not upon the Messenger except to convey Allah's Message to them and they bear the result of their disbelief and denial.

Allah says in the next three verses (19-21) "Do they not see how Allah begins the creation, then He repeats it, indeed, that is easy for Allah?, Say Travel in the land, and See how He began the creation, then Allah will produce the last creation, indeed, Allah is All-Powerful over everything, He punishes whom He wills, and has mercy on whom he wills, and to Him you will be returned", that is, the Prophet Abraham guided His people to reflect on Allah's power as He is the One who created everything including themselves, the heavens, the earth, and whatever is between them, and the One who is Able to create these things is Able to return them back and that is easier for Him and this is similar to Aya (27) of Surat Alroom, then Allah commanded Him to order them to travel in the land in order to see how Allah began the creation in its various forms so that they may realize that the universe must have a Creator, and Allah is the Creator of everything, so He will create the last creation in the Hereafter, and He is All-Powerful over everything where He is Able to do whatever He wants, and neither impediment nor inability can prevent Him from doing whatever He wills, so He punishes whom He wills and forgives whom He wills, and to Him all mankind will be returned on the day of resurrection, then He will recompense each according to his deeds.

Allah says in the next two verses (22,23) "And you will not cause failure on the earth nor in the heaven and you have not besides Allah any protector or any helper, and those who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and the meeting with Him, those have despaired of My mercy, and those for them a severe punishment", that is, Allah assures man that he can not cause failure on the earth or in the heavens nor can he escape from Allah's authority, and He has neither a Protector nor a Helper besides Allah if He wants to inflict punishment upon him, so those who disbelieved in the signs of Allah and denied the resurrection and the meeting with Allah on that day, those has despaired from Allah's mercy, so Allah threatens them with a severe punishment on the day of resurrection which they used to deny.

Allah says in the next two verses (24,25) "And the answer of His people was not except they said Kill Him, or Burn Him, but Allah saved Him from the fire, indeed, in that are signs for a people who believe, and He said, you have only taken idols besides Allah out of love among you in the worldly life, then on the day of resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another, and your abode will be the fire, and you will have no helpers", that is, the people of Abraham met His call to worship Allah with disbelief, stubbornness, and arrogance, so Abraham turned to their idols and made them into fragments except a large one among them so that they return to it as Allah has stated in Surat Alanbiyaa Aya (58), thereupon, they did not understand that these idols were not able to protect themselves, rather their response was not nothing but they said Kill Abraham or Burn Him in the fire, so when they threw Abraham in the Blazing fire, Allah saved Him from the fire where Allah said to the fire "O fire! Be coolness and safety upon Abraham" as mentioned in Surat Alanbiyaa Aya (69), and in that are signs for a people who believe; because they will realize that Allah is All-powerful over everything, and He alone is Able to turn the blazing fire into coolness and safety, so they believe in Him, and submit to Him alone. Then Abraham said to His people, you have only taken idols besides Allah out of affection and love between you in the worldly life, then on the day of resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another as some friends will be enemies to others except the righteous as Allah has stated in Aya (67) of  Surat Alzukhruf, so your abode will be the fire, and you will have no helpers to save you from Allah's punishment.

Allah says in the next two verses (26,27) "And Lot believed in Him, and said I am emigrating to My Lord, indeed, He is Almighty, All-Wise, and We granted Him Issac and Jacob and We placed in His progeny the prophethood and the Book, and We gave Him His reward in the world, and indeed, He is of the righteous in the Hereafter", that is, the Prophet Lot believed in Abraham, and Abraham said I am emigrating to My lord, so He migrated from the land of infidelity to a land where He could worship Allah and establish the religion, and Allah is All-Mighty who is Severe in His revenge on those who disobeyed Him, and He is the All-Wise who manages His creation with wisdom in His laws and destiny, and then Allah rewarded the Prophet Abraham for his obedience and sincerity of worshipping Allah, and abandoning the religion of His people, so Allah granted Him His son Isaac, and His grandson Jacob, and Allah placed in His progeny the prophethood and the Book as Allah did not send a Messenger after Abraham except from His descendants even Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, peace be upon them, and Allah gave Abraham His reward in the worldly life, and He is of the righteous in the Hereafter, so, Allah combined for Him the happiness in the worldly life and the happiness in the Hereafter.

Allah says in the next three verses (28-30) "And Lot, when He said to His people, indeed, you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from the worlds, Is it that you approach the men and you cut off the road and commit evil in your meetings?, and the answer of His people was not except they said Bring us the punishment of Allah if you are of the truthful, He said My Lord, help Me against the corrupting people", that is, the Prophet Lot denounced the shameful deeds of His people as they used to practice sodomy, and no one of the sons of Adam has ever preceded them to this act, and He said to them as a denunciation, Is it that you commit male homosexuality, cut off the road and kill the wayfarers and take their money, and you do inappropriate words and acts in your gatherings as they used to do sodomy while they see each other as mentioned in Aya (54) of Surat Alnaml, but they did not respond to Him, and said as a mockery "Bring us the punishment of Allah if you are of the truthful", thereupon, Lot asked Allah to help Him against these corrupting people.

Allah says in the next two verses (31,32) "And when Our Messengers came to Abraham with the glad tidings, they said, we are going to destroy the people of this town, indeed, its people are wrongdoers, He said, indeed, Lot is in it, they said, we know best who is in it, we will surely save Him and His family except His wife, she is of those who remain behind", that is, the Angels came to the Prophet Abraham in the form of good human beings and they greeted Him with peace and He did not know them, so that He said "Peace, unknown people", and they gave Him glad tidings of knowledgeable boy as mentioned in Surat Aldhariyat (24-37), then they announced to Him the destruction of the people of the Prophet Lot because they are wrongdoers, but the Prophet Abraham said to them that the Prophet Lot is in that town, and they said that they know best who is in it, and they will save the Prophet Lot and His family except His wife, she was of those who remain behind; because she betrayed the Prophet Lot by not believing and cooperating with His people against Him as mentioned in Aya (10) of Surat Altahrim.

Allah says in the next three verses (33-35) "And when Our Messengers came to Lot, He was distressed for them and felt straitened for them, uneasy, and they said, Do not fear and Do not grieve, indeed, we will save you and your family except Your wife, she is of those who remain behind, indeed, we are going to bring down on the people of this town a punishment from the sky because they were disobeying, and indeed, We have left from it a clear sign for a people who understand", that is, the Angels went to the Prophet Lot, and He did not know them, so when He saw them, He was distressed for them and felt strained for them; because He feared that His people would harm them if He hosted them, but the Angels reassured Him and gave Him the glad tidings of Allah's victory as they will save Him and His family except His wife where she will be of those who remain behind, and will sent down on His people a punishment from the sky because they used to disobey Allah and His Messenger, and they engaged in disobedience and immorality. So the Angels sent upon them stones of clay, marked with Allah for the transgressors as mentioned in Ayat (33,34) of  Surat Aldhariyat, and Allah has left from the town of the Prophet Lot a clear sign as Quraish pass by the tracks of the people of the Prophet Lot in the morning and at night as mentioned in Ayat (137,138) of Surat Alsaffat, and that sign was a reminder for a people who understand; because they will reflect on the end of the transgressors lest what happened to them will befall them.

Allah says in the next three verses (36-38) "And to Madyan their brother Shu'ayb, and He said O My people! Worship Allah and Hope the last day, and Do not roam in the earth as corrupters, but they denied Him, so the earthquake seized them, and they became in their homes fallen recumbent, and Ad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their dwellings, and Satan has adorned for them their deeds, so he prevented them from the way, and they were insightful", that is, Allah sent the Prophet Shu'ayb to the people of Madyan whom Allah named the companions of the Ayka as mentioned in Aya (176) of Surat Alshu'araa, and He commanded them to worship Allah alone, and to hope the day of resurrection so that they may seek Allah's reward and fear His vengeance on that day, and He forbade them from spreading corruption in the land, oppressing its people, and cutting off the roads, but they denied Him and disbelieved, so Allah destroyed them with a great tremor that shook their land, and they fell dead in their homes, and it was a punishment of a great day as mentioned in Aya (189) of Surat Alshu'araa, for Allah has combined three types of punishment for the people of Shu'ayb, and they were the earthquake as mentioned in this Aya, the punishment of the day of shadow as mentioned in Aya (189) of Surat Alshu'araa, and the blast as mentioned in Aya (94) of Surat HudAllah also destroyed Ad (the people of the Prophet Hud) and Thamud (the people of the Prophet Saleh), and Allah addresses Quraish and said that it has become clear the destruction and the vengeance that befell them from their dwellings as they knew their dwellings well where Ad used to live in Alahqaf (Yemen) as mentioned in Aya (21) of  Surat Alahqaf, and Thamud used to live in Alhijr (Saudi Arabia) as mentioned in Surat Alhijr Ayat (80-84), they deserved the punishment; for Satan has adorned for them their evil deeds, so he prevented them from the truth though they were insightful but Satan made them thought that they were right while they were astray.

Allah says in the next two verses (39,40) "And Qarun and Pharaoh and Haman, and indeed, Moses came to them with clear proofs, but they were arrogant in the earth and they were not to outdone, so We seized each for his sin, so among them were those upon whom we sent a storm of stones, and among them were those who were seized by the blast, and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned, so Allah was not to wrong them, but they were wronging themselves", that is, Allah destroyed Qarun, the owner of the treasures and massive wealth, Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and Haman the minister in the kingdom of Pharaoh, where Allah sent the Prophet Moses to them with clear proofs, which are nine signs as Allah has stated in Surat Alisraa Aya (101), but they were arrogant in the earth from following the truth, so they were not to outdone Allah and He punished each according to his sin, so among the previous nations were those upon whom Allah sent a storm of stones as He did with the people of the Prophet Lot as shown above in Aya (34), among them were those who were seized by the blast like Thamud as mentioned in Aya (31) of Surat Alqamar, among them were those whom Allah caused the earth to swallow like Qarun as mentioned in Aya (81) of Surat Alqasas, and among them were those whom Allah drowned like the people of the Prophet Noah as shown above in Aya (14), and Pharaoh as mentioned in Surat Alanfal Aya (54), and Allah was not to wrong them, but they used to wrong themselves with disbelief and disobedient, so they deserved the punishment.

Allah says in the next three verses (41-43) "The example of those who take protectors besides Allah is like the spider who takes a house, and indeed, the weakest house is surely the house of the spider if only they know, indeed, Allah knows whatever thing they invoke besides Him, and He is Almighty, All-Wise, and these examples We cites to people, and no one understands them except those of knowledge", that is, Allah cites an example to the polytheists who worship idols besides Allah, hoping their victory and sustenance, and seeking refuge in them in adversity though they did not possess anything in the heavens nor on the earth, so these idols are like the spider's web in its weakness, and the polytheists are like those who cling to the web of the spider and the weakest house is surely the house of the spider, and if only they know, they would not take protectors besides Allah, and Allah knows whatever thing they invoke besides Him as nothing is hidden from Him and He is All-Mighty who is Severe in His revenge on those who disobeyed Him, and He is the All-Wise who manages His creation with wisdom in His laws and destiny, and Allah cites these example to people so that they may understand and give thought but no one understands them except those of knowledge; because they reflect on these idols, so they became certain of Allah's power and greatness.

Allah says in the next two verses (44,45) "Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth, indeed, in that is a sign for the believers, Recite what has been revealed to You of the book, and Establish the prayer, indeed, the prayer prohibits from immorality and evil, and surely the remembrance of Allah is greatest, and Allah knows what you do", that is, Allah confirms that He did not create the heavens and the earth in vain, rather He created them in truth, and in that is a sign for the believers; because they reflect on the creation of both of them, then they realize that Allah alone is the Creator with no partner. Then Allah commanded His Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) to recite what has been revealed to Him of the Holy Quran, and to establish the prayer, and the prayer forbids from immorality and evil deeds; because establishing the prayer five times a day makes the servant in constant contact with Allah, and if he wishes, he will perform voluntary prayers, so he will be shy of committing immorality and evil deeds, and the remembrance of Allah is greater in reward, and Allah knows what His servants do of good or evil deeds.

Allah says in the next two verses (46,47) "And do not argue the people of the book except by which it is best except those who wronged from them, and say we believe in what was sent down to us, and what was sent down to you, and our God and Your God is One, and to Him we are Muslims, and thus We have sent the book to you, so those to whom We have given the book believe in it, and among these is who believe in it, and none rejects Our verses except the disbelievers", that is, Allah forbade Muslims from arguing with the people of the scripture of Jews and Christians except by which it is best, but as for those who wronged from among them by deviating from the truth and turning away from the clear proofs, then it will not work to argue them by the best, rather they must be deterred, and as narrated by Abu Hurayrah: ''The people of the scripture used to recite the Torah in Hebrew, and they used to explain it in Arabic to the Muslims, on that Allah's Messenger said Do not believe the people of the scripture or disbelieve them, but say ''We believe in Allah, and what was sent down to us", so because their books have been distorted and changed, most of what they say is lie and slander, thereupon Allah commanded the Muslims to say to them "We believe in what was sent down to us, and what was sent down to you, and our God and Your God is One, and to Him we are Muslims", then Allah addresses His Messenger and said to Him that He has revealed to Him the Holy Quran, so among those to whom Allah has given the book believe in the Holy Quran from their rabbis and scholars such as Abdullah Bin Salam and Salman Alfarisi, and among the Arabs is he who believe in it, and no one denies the signs and the proofs that Allah sent His Messengers with, and worships other than Him without evidence or clear proof except the disbelievers.

Allah says in the next three verses (48-50) "And You did not recite any book before it, nor did You write it with Your right hand, otherwise, the adherents of falsehood would have doubted, but it is clear verses in the breasts of those who are given the knowledge, and none rejects our verses except the wrongdoers, and they said, why not signs are sent down to Him from His Lord?, Say the signs are only with Allah and I am only a clear warner", that is, Allah assures that His Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) has lived a lifetime among His people, neither read nor write, and Allah has described Him saying the illiterate Prophet as mentioned in Aya (157) of Surat Ala'raf, so Allah addresses Him saying that He did not recite any book nor did He write it with His right hand, so the adherents of falsehood would have doubted and said that Muhammad (PBUH) had invented the Holy Quran, rather, the Holy Quran is clear verses in the breasts of those who are given the knowledge who reflect on its verses, then they believe that it is the truth from Allah, and no one denies the signs and the proofs that Allah sent His Messengers with, and worships other than Him without evidence or clear proof except the wrongdoers who wronged themselves with disbelief, stubbornness, and arrogance. The Polytheists of Quraish said out of their stubbornness and arrogance why not signs are sent down to Allah's Messenger from Allah such as the she-camel of the Prophet Saleh, the stick of the Prophet Moses, and the revival of the dead of the Prophet Jesus, so Allah commanded His Messenger to say that the signs are only with Allah, so He brings them as He wills, and to assure them that He is a clear warner to them, He only has to inform and warn them of Allah's punishment if they disobeyed Him, and Allah leads astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills.

Allah says in the next two verses (51,52) "And Is not sufficient for them that We have sent down to You the book that is recited to them?, indeed, in that is a mercy and a reminder for a people who believe, Say sufficient is Allah between Me and you as a Witness, He knows what is in the heavens and the earth, and those who believe in falsehood and disbelieve in Allah, those are the losers", that is, Is not sufficient for those who asked for signs from Allah that He has sent down to His Messenger the Holy Quran which is recited to them?, and the Holy Quran is a mercy and a reminder for a people who believe; because they reflect on its verses and act according to it, so it brings them out from the falsehood to truth and from darknesses of disbelief to light of belief, thereupon, Allah commanded His Messenger to say that Allah is sufficient as a witness between Him and them, and He knows what is in the heavens and the earth and nothing is forbidden from Him, so He knows what they say of falsehood and denial and what He says of truth and belief, and He will judge between them, and those who believe in falsehood and disbelieve in Allah will be the losers in the worldly life and the Hereafter.

Allah says in the next three verses (53-55) "And they ask You to hasten the punishment and if not an appointed time, the punishment would have come to them, and it will surely come to them suddenly while they do not perceive, they ask You to hasten the punishment and indeed, Hellfire will surely surround the disbelievers, the day when the punishment will cover them, from above them and from under their feet, and He will say, Taste what you used to do", that is, the polytheists of Quraish asked Allah's Messenger to hasten the punishment for them, thereupon, Allah assured them that if not a specified term of the day of resurrection, the punishment would have been hastened for them in the worldly life, but the day of resurrection will inevitably happen and will come to them suddenly while they do not realize. They ask Allah's Messenger to hasten the punishment, and they will surely face it where the Hellfire will surely surround the disbelievers, and on the day of resurrection, the punishment will cover them from above them and from under their feet as the shadows of Hellfire will be from above them and from below them as mentioned in Aya (16) of Surat Alzumar, and it will be said to them as a reprimand Taste what you used to do.

Allah says in the next four verses (56-59) "O My servants who believe! indeed, My earth is spacious, so worship only Me, every soul will taste the death, then to Us you will be returned, and those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will give them in Paradise chambers beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein, so excellent is the reward of the doers, those who are patient and put their trust upon their Lord", that is, Allah addresses the believers and says that His earth is vast, so Migrate therein and retired from the idols and those who commit sins, and He commanded them to worship Him alone, and every soul will taste the death, and all mankind will return to Allah on the day of resurrection, so Allah will make those who believe and do righteous deeds to live in chambers in paradise beneath which rivers flow, and they will abide therein forever and it is a great and excellent reward for the doers who are patient over the harm they met for the sake of Allah and establishing the religion, they put their trust in Allah alone, and rely upon Him in all their affairs.

Allah says in the next two verses (60,61) "And how many of a moving creature that does not carry its provision, Allah provides for it and for you, and He is All-Hearing, All-knower, and If You ask them Who created the heavens and the earth, and subjected the sun and the moon, they would say, Allahso how are they being turned away?", that is, when Allah urged the believers to migrate from the land of infidelity to a land where they could worship Allah and establish the religion as the Prophet Abraham did before as shown above in Aya (26), He reassured them that the provision is with Him alone and it is not specified to a specific land, rather, Allah's provision is general for His creation wherever they are, so how many of a moving creature that does not carry its provision where it does not collect or save anything for tomorrow, but Allah provides for it the sustenance despite its weakness and makes it easy for it, and He provides for mankind as well, and He is All-Hearing, All-Knower where nothing in the heavens or on the earth is hidden from Him, and he sends to every creature what is suitable to him of provision. Then Allah addresses His Messenger and says to Him if He asked the polytheists, Who created the heavens and the earth, and subjected the sun and the moon for sunrise and sunset, they would say Allah, so how are they being turned away?, as they are extremely ignorant and fools for they are led astray and diverted from guidance to error, although they acknowledge the truth.

Allah says in the next two verses (62,63) "Allah extends the provision for whom He wills of His servants, and restricts for him, and indeed, Allah is All-Knower of everything, and If You ask them Who sends down water from the sky, then revives thereby the earth after its death, they would say, Allah, Say, praise be to Allah, but most of them do not understand", that is, Allah extends the provision for whom He wills, and limits it to whom He wills, so He makes whoever He wills rich, and whoever He wills poor for He is All-Knower of everything and what is good for His servants and what corrupts them of richness and poverty as mentioned in Aya (27) of Surat Alshura, and if Allah's Messenger asked them who sends down water from the sky, then He revives thereby the earth after its death, then it brings forth its vegetation, fruits and crops, they will acknowledge that Allah is the Provider, so praise be to Allah but most of them do not understand and yet they worship other than Him.

Allah says in the next three verses (64-66) "And this worldly life is nothing but an amusement and play, and indeed, the abode of the Hereafter is the real life if only they know, and when they ride on a ship, they call upon Allah, being sincere to Him in religion, but when He rescued them to the land, then behold!, they associate, that they deny what We have granted them, and that they may enjoy, but they will know", that is, Allah confirms that the worldly life is nothing but an amusement and a play, and it has no eternity, rather, it will pass quickly but the Hereafter is the abode of eternity and it is the real life, and if they know, they will acknowledge that they will have nothing of it except what is in the way of Allah, but the polytheists do not remember Allah except in adversity, so when they board a ship and are at risk of drowning, they call upon Allah alone, being sincere to Him in religion, and not associating anything with Him, but when He saved them from drowning and perishing at sea and brought them safely to the land, they associate other idols with Him in order to deny what Allah has granted them, and that they may enjoy of their disbelief, so Allah threatens them that they will know the consequence of their disbelief and ingratitude where Allah says in Aya (8) of Surat Alzumar "Say, Enjoy of your disbelief for a little, indeed, you are of the companions of the Fire".

Allah says in the last three verses (67-69) "Do they not see that We made a secure sanctuary, while the people around them are being snatched away?, then Do they believe in falsehood, and they disbelieve in the favor of Allah, and who is more unjust than he who invents a lie about Allah or denies the truth when it has come to him, Is there not in Hellfire an abode for the disbelievers?, and those who strive for Us, We will certainly guide them to Our ways, indeed, Allah is with the good doers", that is, Allah reminds the polytheists of Quraish of His favor that He singled out for them as He made a secure sanctuary, so Mecca is a secure sanctuary for the presence of the Sacred House (Alka'bah) therein, and whoever enters it is in safe, so they are in a great security, while the Bedouins around them plunder each other and kill each other, but their gratitude of this favor was nothing but they believed in falsehood, associated other idols with Allah and denied the favor of Allah, so Allah confirms that there is no one who is more unjust than the one who invents a lie about Allah and claims that He has a son and makes equals for Him, and yet he denies the Holy Quran when it has come to him from Allah's Messenger, so Allah threatens the disbelievers with Hellfire that will be their abode, abiding therein forever. But as for those who strive for Allah in order to raise His word and to support the religion, indeed, Allah is with the good doers who worship Allah as if they see Him, and if they can not see Him, then Allah sees them, so they act according to Allah's commands and prohibitions.
