24- Surat Alnoor

64 Verses  Maddani (revealed in Medina)

A'auzu Bellahi mena alshaiytani alrajeem

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan

Besmi Ellahi Alrhmani Alraheem

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Suratun anzalnaha wa faradnaha wa anzalna feeha ayatin bayyinatin la-allakum tazakkaruon (1).
A Surah which We have sent down and We have made it obligatory, and We sent down therein a clear verses, so that you may be reminded.

Alzaniyatuo wa alzani fa-jleduo kulla wahedin menhuma me-ata jaldatin wa la ta'khuzukum behema ra'fatun fee deeni ellahi in kuntum tu'menuona bellahi wa alyawmi alakheri wa-lyashhad azabahuma ta-efatun mena almu'meneen (2).
The adulteress and the adulterer, flog each of them with a hundred lashes, and let no pity for them seize you in the religion of Allah if you believe in Allah and the Last Day, and let a group of the believers witness their punishment.

Alzani la yankehuo ella zaniyatan aww mushrekatan wa alzaniyatuo la yankehuha ella zanin aww mushrekin wa hurrema zaleka ala almu'meneen (3).
The adulterer does not marry except an adulteress or a polytheist woman, and the adulteress does not marry her except an adulterer or a polytheist man and that is forbidden to the believers.

Wa allazina yarmuna almuhsanati thumma lam ya'tuo be-arba-ati shuhada-a fajliduhum thamaneena jaldatan wa la taqbaluo lahum shahadatan abadan wa aulaeka humuo alfasequon (4).
And those who accuse chaste women, then they do not bring four witnesses, lash them with eighty lashes and never accept their testimony, and those are the disobedient.

Ella allazina tabuo men ba'di zaleka wa aslahuo fa-inna Allaha Ghafurun Raheem (5).
Except those who repent thereafter and reform, then indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Wa allazina yarmuona azwajuhum wa lam yakun lahum shuhada-a ella anfusuhum fa-shahadatuo ahadehim arba-uo shahadatin bellahi innahuo la-mena alsadeqeen (6).
And those who accused their spouses, and they have no witnesses except themselves then the testimony of one of them four testimonies by Allah that indeed, he is of the truthful.

Wa alkhamesatuo anna la'nata Allahi alaiyhi in kana mena alkazebeen (7).
And the fifth that the curse of Allah be upon him if he is of the liars.

Wa yadra-uo anha alazaba an tashhada arba-a shahadatin bellahi innahuo la-mena alkazebeen (8).
And it would prevent the punishment from her that she bears witness four testimonies by Allah that he is of the liars.

Wa alkhamesata anna ghadaba Allahi alaiyha in kana mena alsadeqeen (9).
And the fifth that the wrath of Allah be upon her if he is of the truthful.

Wa lawla fadluo Allahi alaiykum wa rahmatuhuo wa anna Allaha Tawwabun Hakeem (10).
And if not the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy and Allah is Ever accepting the repentance, All-Wise.

Inna allazina ja-uo bel-efki ausbatun menkum la tahsabuhuo sharran lakum bal huwa khaiyrun lakum le-kulli emri-in menhum ma-ktasaba mena alethmi wa allazi tawalla kebrahuo menhum lahuo azabun azeem (11).
Indeed, those who came with the Ifk are a troupe from you, Do not think it is bad for you, but rather it is good for you, for every person of them is what he earned of the sin, and the one who undertook its greatest portion from them, for him is a great punishment.

Lawla iz same'tumuhuo zanna almu'menuona wa almu'menatuo be-anfusehim khaiyran wa qaluo haza ifkun mubeen (12).
Why, when you heard it, did the believing men and the believing women not think good of themselves and say this is a clear Ifk?.

Lawla iz ja-uo alaiyhi be-arba-atai shuhada-a fa-iz lam ya'tuo bel-shuhada-e fa-aulaeka enda Allahi humuo alkazebuon (13).
Why did they not bring for it four witnesses, then when they did not bring the witnesses, then those are the liars in the sight of Allah.

Wa lawla fadluo Allahi alaiykum wa rahmatuhuo fee alduonya wa alakherati la-massakum fee ma afadtum feehi azabun azeem (14).
And had it not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy in the worldly life and the Hereafter, a great punishment would have touched you for what you indulged in.

Iz talaqqawnahuo be-alsenatekum wa taquluona be-afwahekum ma laiytha lakum behi elmun wa tahsabunahuo hayyinan wa huwa enda Allahi azeem (15).
When you received it with your tongues and you said with your mouths that of which you had not any knowledge, and you thought it is insignificant while it is great in the sight of Allah.

Wa lawla iz same'tumuhuo qultum ma yakunuo lana an natakallama be-haza subhanaka haza buhtanun azeem (16).
When you hear it, why did not you say it is not for us to speak of this, Glory to be You this is a great slander.

Ya-ezukumuo Allahu an ta-auduo le-methlehi abadan in kuntum mu'meneen (17).
Allah warns you that you return to the like of it, ever, if you are believers.

Wa youbayyinuo Allahu lakumuo alayati wa Allahu Aleemun Hakeem (18).
And Allah makes clear to you the verses, and Allah is All-knower, All-Wise.

Inna allazina youhebbuona an tashee-a alfaheshatuo fee allazina amanuo lahum azabun aleemun fee alduonya wa alakherati wa allahu ya'lamuo wa antum la ta'lamuon (19).
Indeed, those who like that the immorality spreads among those who believe, for them is a painful punishment in the worldly life and the Hereafter, and Allah knows and you do not know.

Wa lawla fadluo Allahi alaiykum wa rahmatuhuo wa anna Allaha Ra-ufun Raheem (20).
And if not the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy and Allah is Most Kind, Most Merciful.

Ya ayyuha allazina amanuo la tattabe-uo khutuwati alshaiytani wa man yattabe-e khutuwati alshaiytani fa-innahuo ya'muruo bel-fahsha-e wa almunkari wa lawla fadluo Allahi alaiykum wa rahmatuhuo ma zaka menkum men ahadin abadan wa lakenna Allaha youzakki man yasha-uo wa Allahu Same-on Aleem (21).
O you who believe! Do not follow the footsteps of Satan, and whoever follows the footsteps of Satan, then indeed, he enjoins the immorality and the evil, and had it not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, none of you would have been purified, ever, but Allah purifies whom He wills, and Allah All-Hearing, All-Knower.

Wala ya'teli auluo alfadli menkum wa alssa-ati an you'tuo auli alqurba wa almasakeena wa almuhajereena fee sabeeli ellahi wal-ya'fuo wal-yasfahuo ala touhebbuna an yaghfera Allahu lakum wa Allahu Ghafurun Raheem (22).
And let not those of grace among you and wealth swear not to give those of the near of kin and the needy and the Muhajireen in the way of Allah, and let them pardon and overlook, Would you not like that Allah forgives you?, and Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Inna allazina yarmuona almuhsanati alghafelati almu'menati lu-enuo fee alduonya wa alakherati wa lahum azabun azeem (23).
Indeed, those who accuse chaste women, unaware women, believing women are cursed in the worldly life and the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment.

Yawma tashhaduo alaiyhim alsenatehim wa aiydehim wa arjuluhum bema kanuo ya'maluon (24).
The day when their tongues and their hands and their feet will testify against them of what they used to do.

Yawma-izin youwaffehimuo Allahu deenahumuo alhaqqa wa ya'lamuona anna Allaha huwa alhaqquo almubeen (25).
On that day, Allah will give them their reckoning in full, and they will know that Allah is the Clear Truth.

Alkhabethatuo lel-khabetheena wa alkhabethuona lel-khabethati wa altayyibatuo lel-tayyibeena wa altayyibuona lel-tayyibati aulaeka mubarrauona memma yaquluona lahum maghferatun wa rezqun kareem (26).
Evil words are for evil men, and evil men are for evil words and good words are for good men, and good men are for good words, those are innocent of what they say, for them is forgiveness and a noble provision.

Ya ayyuha allazina amanuo la tadkhuluo buyutan ghaiyra buyutekum hatta tasta'nesuo wa tousallemuo ala ahleha zalekum khaiyrun lakum la-allakum tazakkaruon (27).
O you who believe! Do not enter houses other than your houses until you have asked permission and you have greeted its inhabitants that is better for you so that you may be reminded.

Fa-in lam tajeduo feeha ahadan fala tadkhuluha hatta you'zana lakum wa in qeela lakumuo erje-uo farje-uo huwa azka lakum wa Allahu bema ta'maluona Aleem (28).
And if you do not find anyone therein, then Do not enter them until permission is given to you, and if it is said to you Go back, then Go back, it is purer for you and Allah is All-Knower of what you do.

Laytha alaiykum junahun an tadkhuluo buyutan ghaiyra maskunatin feeha mata-on lakum, wa Allahu ya'lamuo ma tubduona wa ma taktumuon (29).
There is no blame upon you that you enter uninhabited houses in which there is benefit for you, and Allah knows what you declare and what you conceal.

Qul lel-mu'meneena yaghudduo men absarehim wa yahfazuo furujahum zaleka azka lahum inna Allaha khabeerun bema yasna-uon (30).
Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and they should guard their private parts, that is purer for them, indeed, Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

Wa qul lel-mu'menati yaghdudna men absarehinna wa yahfazna furujahunna wa la youbdeena zenatahunna ela ma zahara menha wal-yadrebna be-khumurehenna ala juyubehenna wa la youbdeena zenatahunna ella lebu-ulatehenna aww aba-ehenna aww abaee bu-ulatehenna aww abnaehenna aww abnaee bu-ulatehenna aww ekhwanehenna aww bani ekhwanehenna wa bani akhwatehenna aww nesa-ehenna aww ma malakat aymanuhunna awi altabe-ena ghaiyri auli alerbati mena alrejali awi altefli allazina lam yazharuo ala awarati alnesa-e wa la yadrebna be-arjulehenna leyou'lama ma youkhfeena men zenatehenna wa tubuo ela Allahi jamee-an ayyuha almu'menuona la-allakum tuflehuon (31).
And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze, and they should guard their private parts and do not display their adornment except that which appears thereof, and let them draw their head covers over their chests, and do not display their adornment except to their husbands or their fathers or the fathers of their husbands or their sons or the sons of their husbands, or their brothers or the sons of their brothers, or the sons of their sisters or their women or what their right hands possess or the attendants having no lust, or the children who are not aware of private aspects of the women, and let them not hit with their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment, and repent to Allah O believers, all of you, so that you may succeed.

Wa ankehuo al-ayama menkum wa alsaleheena men ebadekum wa ema-ekum in yakunuo fuqara-a yughnehimuo Allahu men fadlehi wa Allahu Wase-on Aleem (32).
And Marry the unmarried among you, and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves, if they are poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knower.

Wal-yasta'fifi allazina la yajeduona nekahan hatta youghneiyahumuo Allahu men fadlehi wa allazina yabtaghuona alketaba memma malakat aymanukum fa-katebuhum in alemtum feehim khaiyran wa atuhum men mali ellahi allazi atakum wa la tukrehuo fatayatekum ala albagha-e in aradna tahassunan letabtaghuo arada alhayati alduonya wa man youkrehhunna fa-inna Allaha men ba'di ekrahehenna Ghafurun Raheem (33).
And let those who do not find marriage be chaste until Allah enriches them from His bounty, and those who seek the writing from those whom your right hands possess, then Give them the writing if you know any good in them, and Give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given you and Do not compel your slave girls to the prostitution if they desire chastity that you may seek the gain of the worldly life, and whoever compels them, the indeed, Allah after their compulsion is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Wa laqad anzalna elaiykum ayatin mubayyinatin wa mathalan mena allazina khalaww men qablekum wa maw-izatan lel-muttaqeen (34).
And indeed, We have sent down to you clear verses and an example of those who passed on before you and an admonition for the righteous.

Allahu nooruo alsamawati wa alardi mathauo noorehi ka-meshkatin feeha mesbahun almesbahuo fee zujajatin alzujajatuo ka-annaha kawkabun durriyyun youqaduo men shajaratin mubarakatin zaytunatin la sharqiyyatin wa la gharbiyyatin yakaduo zaytuha youde-o wa laww lam tamsas-huo narun noorun ala noorin yahdei ellahuo le-noorehi man yasha-uo wa yadrebuo Allahu alamthala lel-nasi wa Allahu be-kulli shaiy-in Aleem (35)
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth, the example of His Light is like a niche therein there is a lamp, the lamp is in a glass, the glass as if it were a brilliant star which lights from a blessed tree, an olive, which is neither eastern nor western, its oil would almost glow even if the fire has not touched it, light upon light, Allah guides to His Light whom He wills, and Allah cites the examples for the people and Allah is All-Knower of everything.

Fee buyutin azena Allahu an turfa'a wa youzkara feeha esmuhuo yousabbehuo lahuo feeha bel-ghuduwwi wa alasal (36).
In houses which Allah has permitted that they be raised, and His name to be mentioned therein, glorify Him therein in the morning and in the evening.

Rejalun la toulhehim tejaratun wa la baiy-on an zekri ellahi wa eqami alsalati wa eta-ee alzakati yakhafuona yawman tataqallabuo feehi alqulubuo wa al-absar (37).
Men whom neither a trade nor a sale distracts them from the remembrance of Allah and from establishing the prayer and giving the Zakah, they fear a day in which the hearts and the eyes will turn.

Le-yajzeyahumuo Allahu ahsana ma ameluo wa yazedahum men fadlehi wa Allahu yarzuquo man yasha-uo be-ghaiyri hesab (38).
That Allah may reward them for the best of what they did, and increase them from His bounty, and Allah provides whom He will without account.

Wa allazina kafaruo a'maluhum ka-sarabin beqee-atin yahsabuhuo alzam-anuo ma-an hatta iza ja-ahuo lam yajed-huo shaiy-an wa wajada Allahu endahuo fa-waffahuo hesabahuo wa Allahu saree-o alhesab (39).
And those who disbelieve, their deeds are like a mirage in a flat land which the thirsty thinks it is water until, when he came to it, he finds it nothing, but finds Allah before him, and He will pay him his account in full, and Allah is swift in reckoning.

Aww ka-zulumatin fee bahrin lujjiyyin yaghshahuo mawjun men fawqehi mawjun men fawqehi sahabun zulumatun ba'duha fawqa ba'din iza akhraja yadahuo lam yakad yaraha wa man lam yaj'ali ellahu lahuo nooran fama lahuo men noor (40).
Or is like the darknesses in a deep sea covered by waves above which are waves, above which are clouds, darknesses, some of them above others, when he puts his hand out, he could not see it, and whoever Allah does not make a light for him, there is no light for him.

Alam tara anna Allaha yousabbehuo lahuo man fee alsamawati wa alari wa altaiyruo saffatin kullun qad alema salatahuo wa tasbeehahuo wa Allahu Aleemun bema yaf'aluon (41).
Do You not see that Allah is glorified by whoever is in the heavens and the earth and the birds spreading?, each one verily has known his prayer and his glorification, and Allah is All-Knower of what they are doing.

Wa lellahi mulkuo alsamawati wa alardi wa ela Allahi almaseer (42).
And to Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah is the final return.

Alam tara anna Allaha youjzi sahaban thumma youa'llefuo baiynahuo thumma yaj'aluhuo rukaman fa-tara alwadqa yakhrujuo men khelalehi wa younazzeluo mena alsama-e men jebalin feeha men baradin fa-yousebuo behi man yasha-uo wa yasrefuhuo an man yasha-uo yakaduo sana barqehi yazhabuo bel-absar (43).
Do You not see that Allah drives clouds then He joins them together, then He makes them into a heap, then You see the rain comes out through it?, and He sends down from the sky, from mountains in which there is hail, and He strikes with it whom He wills and turns it away from whom He wills, the light of its lightning almost takes the sight away.

Youqallebuo Allahu al-laila wa alnahara inna fee zaleka la-ebratan le-auli al-absar (44).
Allah alternates the night and the day, indeed, in that is a lesson for those who have insight.

Wa Allahu khalaqa kulla dabbatin men ma-in fa-menhum man yamshi ala batnehi wa menhum man yamshi ala rejlaiyni wa menhum man yamshi ala arba-in yakhluquo Allahu ma yasha-uo inna Allaha ala kulli shaiy-in qadeer (45).
And Allah has created every moving creature from water, so of them is he who walks on its belly, and of them is he who walks on two legs, and of them is he who walks on four, Allah creates what He wills, indeed, Allah is All-Powerful over everything.

Laqad anzalna ayatin mubayyinatin wa Allahu yahdi man yasha-uo ela seratin mustaqeem (46)
Indeed, We have sent down a clear verses, and Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.

Wa yaquluona amanna bellahi wa bel-rasului wa at'ana thumma yatawalla fareequn menhum men ba'di zaleka wa ma aulaeka bel-mu'meneen (47).
And they say we have believed in Allah and in the Messenger, and we have obeyed, then a party of them turns away after that, and those are not believers.

Wa iza du-uo ela Allahi wa rasulehi le-yahkuma baiynahum iza fareequn menhum mu'reduon (48).
And when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them, behold! a party of them  is turning away.

Wa in yakun lahumuo alhaqquo ya'tuo elaiyhi muz-eneen (49).
And if the right is theirs, they come to Him as submissive.

A-fee qulubehim maradun ami ertabuo am yakhafuona an yaheefa Allahu alaiyhim wa rasuluhuo bal aulaeka humuo alzalemuon (50).
Is there a disease in their hearts Or do they doubt Or do they fear that Allah and His Messenger will do injustice to them?, but those are the wrongdoers.

Inamma kana qawla almu'meneena iza du-uo ela Allahi wa rasulehi la-yahkuma baiynahum an yaquluo same'na wa ata'na wa aulaeka humuo almuflehuon (51).
The only saying of the believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger that He may judge between them, is that they say we hear, and obey, and those are the successful.

Wa man yout-e ellaha wa rasulahuo wa yakhsha Allaha wa yattaqhi fa-aulaeka humuo alfa-ezuon (52).
And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger and feared Allah and fears Him, then those are the winners.

Wa aqsamuo bellahi jahda aymanehim la-in amartahum la-yakhrujunna qul la tuqsemuo ta-atun ma'rufatun inna Allaha khabeerun bema ta'maluon (53).
And they swore by Allah the strongest of their oaths that if You ordered them, they would go out, Say Do not swear, obedience is known, indeed, Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

Qul atee-uo Allaha wa atee-uo alrasula fa-in tawallaww fa-inamma alaiyhi ma hummela wa alaiykum ma hummeltum wa in tute-uhuo tahtaduo wa ma ala alrasuli ella albalaghuo almubeen (54)
Say obey Allah and obey the Messenger, but if they turn away, then only upon Him what is placed on Him, and upon you what is placed on you, and if you obey him, you will be guided,  and is not upon the Messenger except the clear conveyance.

Wa'ada Allahu allazina amanuo menkum wa ameluo alsalehati la-yastakhlefannahum fee alardi kama estakhlafa allazina men qablehim wa la-youmakkenanna lahum deenahumuo allazi ertada lahum wa la-youbaddelannahum men ba'di khawfehim amnan ya'budunani la youshrekuona bi shaiy-an wa man kafara ba'da zaleka fa-aulaeka humuo alfasequon (55)
Allah has promised those who believe among you and do righteous deeds that He will surely make them successors in the earth as He granted succession to those before them, and He will surely establish for them their religion that He has approved for them, and He will surely replace for them security after their fear, they worship Me, not associating anything with Me, but whoever disbelieve after that, then those are the disobedient.

Wa aqeemuo alsalata wa atuo alzakata wa atee-uo alrasula la-allakum turhamuon (56).
And Establish the prayer and Give Zakah and Obey the Messenger so that You may receive mercy.

La-tahsabanna allazina kafaruo mu'jezeena fee alardi wa ma'wahumuo alnaruo wa la-be'sa almaseer (57).
Do not think that the disbelievers can cause failure on the earth, and their abode will be the fire, and wretched is the fate.

Ya-ayyuha allazina amanuo le-yasta'zenakumuo allazina malakat aymanukum wa allazina la yablughuo alhuluma menkum thalatha marratin men qabli salati alfajri wa heena tada-uona theiyabakum mena alzaheerati wa men ba'di salati alisha-e thalathuo awratin lakum laiytha alaiykum wa la alaiyhim junahun ba'dahunna tawwafuona alaiykum ba'dukum ala ba'din ka-zaleka youbayyinuo Allahu lakumuo alayati wa Allahu Aleemun Hakeem (58).
O you who believe! Let those whom your right hands possess and those who have not reached puberty among you, ask your permission at three times, before the dawn prayer and when you put off your clothes at noon, and after the night prayer, three times of privacy for you, there is no blame upon you nor upon them after them, they circulate among you, some of you among others, thus Allah makes clear the verses to you, and Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.

Wa iza balagha al-atfaluo menkumuo alhuluma falyasta'zenuo kama esta'zana allazina men qablehim ka-zaleka youbayyinuo Allahu lakum ayatehi wa Allahu Aleemun Hakeem (59).
And when the children among you reach the puberty, then let them ask permission as those before them have asked permission, thus Allah makes clear His verses to you, and Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.

Wa alqawa-eduo mena alnisa-ee allati la yarjuona nekahan fa-laiytha alaiyhenna junahun an yada'na theiyabahunna ghaiyra mutabarrejatin be-zenatin wa an yasta'fefna khaiyrun lahunna wa Allahu Samee-on Aleem (60).
And the old women who have no desire for marriage, there is no blame upon them that they put off their clothes, not displaying their adornment, but to abstain is better for them, and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knower.

Laiytha ala ala'ma harajun wa la ala ala'raji harajun wa la ala almareedi harajun wa la ala anfusekum an ta'kuluo men buyutekum aww buyuti aba-ekum aww buyuti aummahatekum aww buyuti ekhwanekum aww buyuti akhawatekum aww buyuti a'mamekum aww buyuti ammatekum aww buyuti akhwalekum aww buyuti khalatekum aww ma malaktum mafatehahuo aww sadeekekum laiytha alaiykum junahun an ta'kuluo jamee-an aww ashtatan fa-iza dakhaltum buyutan fa-sallemuo ala anfusekum taheiyyatan men endi ellahi mubarakatan tayyibatan ka-zaleka youbayyinuo Allahu lakumuo alayati la-allakum ta'qeluon (61).
There is no blame upon the blind, nor is there a blame upon the lame, nor is there a blame upon the sick, nor is there a blame upon yourselves that you eat from your houses, or the houses of your fathers, or the houses of your mothers, or the houses of your brothers, or the houses of your sisters, or the houses of your paternal uncles, or the houses of your paternal aunts, or the houses of your maternal uncles, or the houses of your maternal aunts, or what you possess its keys, or your friend, there is no blame upon you that you eat together or separately, but when you enter houses, then greet yourselves with a greeting from Allah, blessed and good, thus Allah makes clear the verses to you so that you may understand.

Inamma almu'menuona allazina amanuo bellahi wa rasulehi wa iza kanuo ma-ahuo ala amrin jame-in lam yazhabuo hatta yasta'zenuhuo inna allazina yasta'zenuonaka aulaeka allazina you'menuona bellahi wa rasulehi fa-iza esat'zanuoka leba'di sha'nehim fa'zan leman she'ta menhum wa-staghfir lahumuo Allaha inna Allaha Ghafurun Raheem (62)
The believers are only those who believe in Allah and His Messenger, and when they are with Him for a collective matter, they do not go until they have asked His permission, indeed, those who ask your permission are those who believe in Allah and His Messenger, so when they ask Your permission for some of their affair, then Give permission to whom you will from among them, and Ask forgiveness of Allah for them, indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

La taj'aluo du-a-a alrasuli baiynakum kadu-a-e ba'dekum ba'dan qad ya'lamuo Allahu allazina yatasallaluna menkum lewazan fal-yahzari allazina youkhalefuona an amrehi an tuosebahum fatnatun aww yousebahum azabun aleem (63).
Do not make the calling of the Messenger among you as the calling of some of you to others, indeed, Allah knows those who infiltrate in secret from among you, so let those who violate his order beware lest a trial befalls them, or a painful punishment befalls them.

Unquestionably, to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, indeed, He knows what you are on it, and the day when they will be returned to Him, then He will inform them of what they have done, and Allah is All-Knower of everything.

Simplified interpretation:

Surat Alnoor carries many rulings, legal punishments, and legal rules beginning with the legal punishment of adultery, the legal punishment of accusing chaste women, and the curse of five oaths between a man and his wife, then Allah cites the Ifk incident in which Aisha, the wife of Allah's Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) and Safwan Alzakwani were accused, and Allah acquitted both of them from what the liars had said, and Allah has set many legal rules for believing men and believing women such as asking permission when entering houses other their own houses, lowering their gaze, guarding their private parts, the Hijab, the adornment of women, how to deal with Allah's Messenger, three times of man's privacy in his house, the Hijab of old women, and eating from other houses.

Allah says in the first two verses (1,2) "A Surah which We have sent down and We have made it obligatory, and We sent down therein a clear verses, so that you may be reminded, the adulteress and the adulterer, flog each of them with a hundred lashes, and let no pity for them seize you in the religion of Allah if you believe in Allah and the Last Day, and let a group of the believers witness their punishment", that is, Allah assures that He has sent down Surat Alnoor, He has made it obligatory, and He sent down therein a clear verses in order to take care of it for He has explained therein the lawful, the forbidden, the commands, the prohibitions, the limits, and the legal punishments so that you may think and reflect on its rulings and obligations and be admonished by it. So Allah clarifies the legal punishment of adultery and says that whoever commits adultery among men or women shall be flogged with one hundred lashes on the condition that he is free not a slave, and virgin not married; because each of them has a special ruling, so if the fornicator was free and not married, his punishment is one hundred lashes, and in addition to that he shall be expelled from his town for a year as Allah's messenger Muhammad (PBUH) did in that case, then Allah commanded the believers not to pity the adulterer and the adulteress in the religion, so they forsake Allah's punishment for them, if you believe in Allah and the last Day (the day of resurrection), then establish the legal punishment for the one who commits adultery and beat him but not so severely that it kills him, but to deter him and whoever does something like that, and a group of the believers should witness their punishment.

So if the adulterer is free not a slave and unmarried, he shall be flogged with one hundred lashes and to exiled from his town for one year, but if he is free and married, he shall be flogged by one hundred lashes and shall be stoned to death (Rajm) where as narrated by Ubada Bin Alsamit: ''Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said Receive from Me, Receive from Me, Allah has ordained a way for those women, when unmarried male commits adultery with an unmarried female, one hundred lashes and banishment for one year, and in case of married male committing adultery with a married female, they shall receive one hundred lashes and be stoned to death", and as narrated by Abu Hurayrah and Zaid Bin Khalid: "Two men had a dispute in the presence of Allah's Messenger, one of them said O Allah's Messenger! Judge between us according to Allah's laws, the other who was wiser, said yes O Allah's Messenger! Judge between us according to Allah's laws and allow me to speak, Allah's Messenger said Speak, he said my son was a laborer serving this person, and he committed illegal sexual intercourse with his wife, the people said that my son is to be stoned to death, but I ransomed him with one hundred sheep and a slave girl, then I asked the learned people who informed me that my son should receive one hundred lashes and will be exiled for one year, and stoning will be the lot for the man's wife. Allah's Messenger said, indeed, by Him in whose Hand is My soul, I will judge between you according to Allah's laws, as for your sheep and slave girl, they are to be returned to you, then He flogged his son one hundred lashes and exiled him for one year, then Unais Al-aslami was ordered to go to the wife of the second man, and if she confessed (the adultery), then stone her to death, she did confess, so he stoned her to death".

Accordingly, the Rajm (stoning to death) is the legal punishment for the married fornicator, and as narrated by Ibn Abbas: "Umar said I am afraid that after long time has passed, people may say we do not find the verses of the Rajm in Allah's book, and consequently they may go astray by leaving an obligation that Allah has revealed, unquestionably! I confirm that the penalty of the Rajm be inflicted on he who commits illegal sexual intercourse, if he is already married, and the crime is proved by witnesses or pregnancy or confession, Sufyan added, I have memorized this narration in this way, Umar added, surely Allah's Messenger carried out the penalty of Rajm, and so we did after Him". But as for the male slave and girl slave who commit adultery, their punishment is half that of the free ones, which is fifty lashes as mentioned in Aya (25) of Surat Alnisaa "But once they are sheltered in marriage, if they should commit adultery, then for them is half the punishment of free unmarried women".

Allah says in the next verse (3) "The adulterer does not marry except an adulteress or a polytheist woman, and the adulteress does not marry her except an adulterer or a polytheist man and that is forbidden to the believers", that is, the adulterer only marries an adulteress or a polytheist woman, and the adulteress only marries an adulterer or a polytheist man, and Allah's Messenger said in narration of Abu Hurayrah: "The adulterer who has been flogged shall not marry save the one like him", and that is forbidden to the believers as it is not permissible for a chaste man to marry a prostitute woman as long as she commits adultery until she repents, if she repents, it is permissible to marry her otherwise not, likewise, it is not permissible for a chaste woman to marry an immoral man who commits adultery until he repents properly.

Allah says in the next two verses (4,5) "And those who accuse chaste women, then they do not bring four witnesses, lash them with eighty lashes and never accept their testimony, and those are the disobedient, except those who repent thereafter and reform, then indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful", that is, Allah explains the ruling on flogging the slanderer with adultery for a chaste woman, who is a free woman of mature age, so if the slanderer establishes evidence of the validity of what he says by bringing four witnesses, the legal punishment will be avoided from him, but if he do not bring four witnesses, he shall be flogged with eighty lashes, and his testimony is never accepted and always is rejected, and those slanderers are the disobedient ones in the sight of Allah, but whoever repents thereafter and confesses that he has said falsehood, and reform what he had caused to the person who has been slandered by clearing him from what he said, then his testimony will be accepted, and Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful for those who repent, believe, and do righteous deeds.

Allah says in the next five verses (6-10) "And those who accused their spouses, and they have no witnesses except themselves then the testimony of one of them four testimonies by Allah that indeed, he is of the truthful, and the fifth that the curse of Allah be upon him if he is of the liars, and it would prevent the punishment from her that she bears witness four testimonies by Allah that he is of the liars, and the fifth that the wrath of Allah be upon her if he is of the truthful, and if not the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy and Allah is Ever accepting the repentance, All-Wise", that is, if a man slanders his wife with adultery, and it was difficult for him to establish evidence with four witnesses and he is the only witness, then he has no choice except Mula'ana "Curse of five oaths", so he has to bring her to the judge or the Imam and he claims against her for what he accused her of, and the judge makes him swear four oaths by Allah that he is of the truthful in what he accused her of adultery, and to swear in the five time that Allah's curse be upon him if he is of the liars. But the legal punishment of adultery, which is flogging and stoning to death, will not be established for her if she swears four oaths by Allah that he is of the liars and she did not commit adultery, and to swear in the five time that Allah's wrath be upon her if he is of the truthful, and if she does not swear by Allah, and the adultery is proven against her, then her husband shall divorce her and give her her dowry, and the legal punishment of adultery shall be established against her.

As narrated by Ibn Abbas: "Hilal Bin Umaiya accused his wife of committing illegal sexual intercourse with Sharik Bin Sahma' and filed the case before the Prophet, the Prophet said either you bring a proof (four witnesses or you will receive the legal punishment on your back (lashes), Hilal said O Allah's Messenger! If anyone of us saw a man over his wife, would he go to seek after witnesses?, the Prophet kept on saying either you bring forth the witnesses or you will receive the legal punishment on your back, Hilal then said By Him who sent you with the truth, I am telling the truth and Allah will reveal to You what will save my back from legal punishment, then Gabriel came down and revealed to Him (Ayat 6-9) "And those who accused their spouses", the Prophet recited it till he reached "He is of the truthful", then the Prophet left and sent for the woman, and Hilal went and brought her, and then took the oaths, the Prophet was saying Allah knows that one of you is a liar, so will any of you repent?, then the woman got up and took the oaths and when she was going to take the fifth one, the Prophet stopped her and said it will definitely bring Allah's curse on you, so she hesitated and recoiled so much that we thought that she would withdraw her denial, but then she said I will not dishonor my family all through these days and cried on, the Prophet then said Watch her, if she delivers a black-eyed child with big hips and fat shins then he is Sharik bin Samha's child, later she delivers a child of that description, so the Prophet said if the case was not settled by Allah's laws, I would punish her severely", and Sahl Bin Sa'd said in another narration as he was present at the time of Mula'ana "Hilal divorced his wife, so it became a tradition to dissolve the marriage of those spouses who were involved in a case of Mula'ana, and Hilal denied that he was the cause of her pregnancy, so the son was ascribed to her, then it became a tradition that such a son would be the heir of his mother, and she would inherit of him what Allah prescribed for her".

Allah says in the next verse (11) "Indeed, those who came with the Ifk are a troupe from you, Do not think it is bad for you, but rather it is good for you, for every person of them is what he earned of the sin, and the one who undertook its greatest portion from them, for him is a great punishment", that is, this verse was revealed about Aisha "The wife of Allah's Messenger" May Allah be blessed with her, when the hypocrites accused her with what they said of lie and fabrications (Ifk), so Allah sent down her innocence in order to protect the honor of His Messenger and they are a troupe (Ausbah) from the Muslims and ausbah in Arabic ranges from ten to forty men, and Allah assures Aisha, Her family and Allah's Messenger that it is not bad for them, but rather it is good for them in the worldly life and in the Hereafter, that for every one of the liars is what he earned of the sin, and that those who undertook the great share of that lie will have a great punishment for they used to gather it and spread it among people till it entered the minds of some Muslims and they spoke of it, and the matter remained for a month until this verse and the next nine verses were revealed.

As narrated by Aisha: "Whenever Allah's Messenger intended to go on a journey, He used to draw lots among His wives, and would take with Him the one on whom the lot had befallen, once He drew lots when He wanted to carry out a battle (Ghazwa) and the lot came upon me, so I proceeded with Allah's Messenger after Allah's order of veiling had been revealed and thus I was carried in my Howdah on a camel and dismounted while still in it, we carried on our journey, and when Allah's Messenger had finished His Ghazwa and returned and we approached Medina, Allah's Messenger ordered to proceed at night. When the army was ordered to resume the homeward journey, I got up and walked on till left the army behind, when I had answered the call of nature, I went towards my howdah, but behold! A necklace of mine made of Jaz Azfar (a kind of black bead) was broken and I looked for it and my search for it detained me, the group of people who used to carry me came and carried my Howdah on to the back of my camel on which I was riding considering that I was therein, at that time women were light in weight and were not fleshy for they used to eat little, so those people did not feel the lightness of the Howdah while raising it up, and I was still a young lady, they drove away the camel and proceeded, then I found my necklace after the army had gone. I came to their camp but found nobody therein so I went to the place where I used to stay, thinking that they would miss me and come back in my search.

While I was sitting at my place, I felt sleepy and slept, Safwan Bin Almu'attil Alsulami Alzakwani was behind the army, he had started in the last part of the night and reached my stationing place in the morning, and saw the figure of a sleeping person, he came to me and recognized me on seeing me for he used to see me before veiling, I got up because of his saying "Inna lellahi wa inna elaiyhi rajeuon, indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we will return", which he uttered on recognizing me, I covered my face with my garment, and by Allah, he did not say to me a single word except "Inna lellahi wa inna elaiyhi rajeuon", till he made his she-camel kneel down whereupon he trod on its forelegs and I mounted it. Then Safwan set out leading the she-camel that was carrying me, till we met the army while they were resting during the hot midday, then whoever was meant for destruction, fell in destruction, and the leader of the Ifk (lie) was Abdullah bin Ubayy bin Salul, after this we arrived at Medina and I became ill for one month while the people were spreading the forged statements of the people of the Ifk, and I was not aware of anything thereof.

But what aroused my doubt while I was sick, was that I was no longer receiving from Allah's Messenger the same kindness as I used to receive when I fell sick, Allah's Messenger would enter upon me say a greeting and add, How is that? and then depart, that aroused my suspicion but I was not aware of the propagated evil till I recovered from my ailment, I went out with Um Mistah to answer the call of nature towards Almanasi, the place where we used to relieve ourselves, and used not to go out for this purpose except from night to night, and that was before we had lavatories close to our houses, and this habit of ours was similar to the habit of the old Arabs concerning the evacuation of the bowels, for we considered it troublesome and harmful to take lavatories in the houses. So I went out with Um Mistah, who was the daughter of Abi Ruhm bin Abd Manaf, and her mother was daughter of Sakhr bin Amer who was the maternal aunt of Abu Bakr Alseddiq, and her son was Mistah bin Uthatha, when we had finished our affair, Um Mistah and I came back towards my house, Um Mistah stumbled over her robe whereupon she said ''Let Mistah be ruined!, I said to her What a bad word you have said! Do you abuse a man who has taken part in the battle of Badr?, she said O you there! Did not you hear what he has said? I said and What did he say?, she then told me the statement of the people of the Ifk which added to my ailment.

When I returned home, Allah's Messenger came to me and after greeting, He said How is that?, I said Will you allow me to go to my parents?, at that time I intended to be sure of the news through them, Allah's Messenger allowed me and I went to my parents and asked my mother O my mother! What are the people talking about?, my mother said O my daughter! Take it easy, for by Allah, there is no charming lady who is loved by her husband who has other wives as well, but that those wives would find fault with her, I said Subhana Allah! Did the people really talk about that? that night I kept on weeping the whole night till the morning, my tears never stopped, nor did I sleep, and morning broke while I was still weeping, Allah's Messenger called Ali bin Abi Talib and Usama bin Zaid when the Divine inspiration delayed, in order to consult them as to the idea of divorcing His wife. Usama bin Zaid told Allah's Messenger of what he knew about the innocence of his wife and of his affection he kept for her, He said O Allah's Messenger! She is your wife and we do not know anything about her except good, but Ali bin Abi Talib said O Allah's Messenger! Allah does not impose restriction on You, and there are plenty of women other than her, If You whoever, Ask her slave girl, she will tell you the truth. Aisha added, so Allah's Messenger called for Barira and said O Barira! Do you ever see anything which might have aroused you suspicious?, Barira said by Allah who has sent You with truth, I have never seen anything regarding Aisha which I would blame her for except that she is a girl of immature age who sometimes sleeps and leaves the dough of her family unprotected so that the domestic goats come and eat it.

So Allah's Messenger got up and addressed the people and asked for somebody who would take revenge on Abdullah bin Ubayy bin Salul then, Allah's Messenger, while on the pulpit, said O Muslims! Who will help Me against a man who has hurt Me by slandering my family? by Allah, I know nothing except good about My family, and people have blamed a man of whom I know nothing except good, and he never used to visit My family except with Me. Sa'd bin Mu'az Alansari got up and said O Allah's Messenger! By Allah, I will relieve You from him, if he be from the tribe of Alaws, then I will chop his head off, and if he be from our brethren (The tribe of Alkhazraj), then You give us Your order and we will obey it, on that Sa'd bin Ubada got up and he was the chief of Alkhazraj, and before this incident he had been a pious man but he was incited by his zeal for his tribe, he said to Sa'd bin Mu'az by Allah, the Eternal! You had told a lie, you shall not kill him and you will never be able to kill him, on that Usaid bin Hudair, the cousin of Sa'd bin Mu'az got up and said to Sa'd bin Ubada, you are a liar! By Allah the Eternal, we will surely kill him, and you are a hypocrite defending the hypocrites!, so the two tribes of Alaws and Alkhazraj got excited till they were on the point of fighting with each other while Allah's Messenger was standing on the Pulpit, Allah's Messenger continued quietening them till they became silent whereupon He became silent too.

On that day I kept on weeping so much that neither did my tears stop, nor could I sleep, in the morning my parents were with me, and I had wept for two nights and a day without sleeping and with incessant till they thought that my liver would burst with weeping, while they were with me and I was weeping, an Ansari woman asked permission to see me, I admitted her and she sat and started weeping with me, while I was in that state, Allah's Messenger came to us, greeted and sat down, He has never sat with me since the day what was said, He had stayed a month without receiving any Divine inspiration concerning my case, Allah's Messenger recited Tashahhud after He had sat down, and then said "Thereafter O Aisha! I have been informed such-and-such a thing about you, and if you are innocent, Allah will reveal your innocence, and if you have committed a sin, then ask for Allah's forgiveness and repent to Him, for when a slave confesses his sin and then repents to AllahAllah accepts his repentance, when Allah's Messenger had finished His speech, my tears ceased completely so that I no longer felt even a drop thereof. Then I said to my father Reply to Allah's Messenger on my behalf as to what He said, he said by Allah, I do not know what to say to Allah's Messenger, then I said to my mother Reply to Allah's Messenger, she said I do not know what to say to Allah's Messenger. Still a young girl as I was and though I had little knowledge of Quran, I said by Allah, I know that You heard this story (Ifk) so much so that it has been planted in Your minds and you have believed it.

So now, if I tell you that I am innocent, and Allah knows that I am innocent, you will not believe me, and if I confess something, and Allah knows that I am innocent of it, you will believe me, by Allah, I can not find of you an example except that of Joseph's father ''So patience is most fitting and Allah is the One sought for help against that which you describe", then I turned away and lay on my bed, and at that time I knew that I was innocent and that Allah would reveal my innocence, but by Allah, I never thought that Allah would sent down about my affair Divine inspiration that would be recited, as I considered myself too unworthy to be talked of by Allah with something that was to be recited, but I hoped that Allah's Messenger might have a vision in which Allah would prove my innocence, by Allah, Allah's Messenger had not left His seat and nobody has left the house when the Divine inspiration came to Allah's Messenger, so there overtook Him the same hard condition which used to overtake Him so that the drops of His sweat were running down like pearls though it was a winter day, and that was because of the heaviness of the statement which was revealed to Him, when the state of Allah's Messenger was over, and He was smiling when He was relieved, the first word He said was Aisha, Allah has declared your innocence, my mother said to me Get up and go to Him, I said by Allah, I will not go to Him, and I will not thank anybody but Allah.

Aisha further said Allah's Messenger also asked Zainab bint Jahsh about my case, He said O Zainab! What have you seen? she replied O Allah's Messenger! I protect my hearing and my sight, I know nothing but good, of all the wives of Allah's Messenger, it was Zainab who aspired to receive from Him the same favor as I used to receive, yet Allah saved her because of her piety, but her sister Hamna, kept on fighting on her behalf so she was destroyed as were those who invented and spread the slander. And in another narration Aisha said: "Those who used to speak evil about me were Mistah bin Uthatha, Hassan bin Thabit, and the hypocrite Abdullah bin Ubayy bin Salul, and it is he who used to spread that news and tempt others to speak of it, and it was he and Hamna bint Jahsh who had the greater share therein", but as narrated by Masruq, Hassan bin Thabit was of those who have the greater share of it: "Hassan came to Aisha and said the following poetry ''A chaste pious woman who arouses no suspicion, she never talks against chaste heedless women behind their backs", Aisha said to him, but you are not, Masruq said to Aisha Why do you allow such a person to enter upon you after Allah has revealed "And the one who undertook its greatest portion, from them", she said What punishment is worse than blindness?, she added, and he used to defend Allah's Messenger against the pagans (in his poetry). Aisha also said: ''When my innocence was revealed, Allah's Messenger stood on the Minbar (Pulpit) and mentioned that and recited the Quran, and when He descended, He ordered that two men and the woman be beaten as their Hadd", so they were flogged eighty lashes for they accused a chaste women, and they do not bring four witnesses as mentioned above in Aya (4).

Allah says in the next three verses (12-14) "Why, when you heard it, did the believing men and the believing women not think good of themselves and say this is a clear Ifk?, Why did they not bring for it four witnesses, then when they did not bring the witnesses, then those are the liars in the sight of Allah, and had it not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy in the worldly life and the Hereafter, a great punishment would have touched you for what you indulged in", that is, Allah blames the believing men and the believing women who indulged in that bad speech and what was mentioned about the matter of the Ifk, so why they did not think good of themselves when they heard what the people said about Aisha and think that Aisha is good and do not think that she committed immorality, and say that this is a clear Ifk; because what happened was not suspicious as the arrival of Aisha on the camel of Safwan was openly at noon, and the army in its entirety witnessed that and Allah's Messenger was among them, and if the matter was as they claim, they would not have come openly nor before the witnesses, rather, it would have been hidden, so Why did those band not bring four witnesses to bear witness of what they accused Aisha of, and since they did not bring the witnesses, they are the liars in the sight of Allah, and had it not been for the favor of Allah and His mercy upon the believers who indulged in the matter of the Ifk, a great punishment in the worldly life would have touched them for what the indulged in, but of Allah's mercy, He accepts the repentance of those who repent thereafter and reform as shown above in Aya (5), and Hassan bin Thabit repented and reformed when he entered upon Aisha and recited poetry that cleared her of what she was accused of as mentioned in the previous paragraph.

Allah says in the next four verses (15-18) "When you received it with your tongues and you said with your mouths that of which you had not any knowledge, and you thought it is insignificant while it is great in the sight of Allahwhen you hear it, why did not you say it is not for us to speak of this, Glory to be You this is a great slander, Allah warns you that you return to the like of it, ever, if you are believers, and Allah makes clear to you the verses, and Allah is All-knower, All-Wise", that is, Allah addresses those who indulged in the Ifk and says that they narrated it to each others, and they said with their mouths that of which they had not any knowledge; because they heard it from so-and-so and so-and-so, and repeated it without verifying whether it is true or false, and they thought that receiving the Ifk from one another is insignificant and there is no blame or sin upon them while it is a great sin in the sight of Allah because they used to offend Allah's Messenger and His wife. Then Allah blames the believers again and says Why did they not say that they should not utter the Ifk nor mention it to anyone, and to glorify Allah that these words are not permissible to be said about the wife of His Messenger and that they judge that it is a great slander, thereupon, Allah warns them that they never return to the like of the Ifk if they believe in Allah and His law, and honor His Messenger (PBUH), and Allah makes clear His rulings, commands, and prohibitions so that the obedient to Him may be distinguished from the disobedient, and Allah is the All-Knower of everything as nothing is hidden from Him in the heavens or on the earth, All-Wise who manages His creation with wisdom in His laws and destiny.

Allah says in the next two verses (19,20) "Indeed, those who like that the immorality spreads among those who believe, for them is a painful punishment in the worldly life and the Hereafter, and Allah knows and you do not know, and if not the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy and Allah is Most Kind, Most Merciful", that is, Allah threatens those who like that the immorality to be spread among the believers by slandering them that they will have a painful punishment in the worldly life which is the legal punishment of those who accuse chaste women (Eighty lashes as shown above in Aya 4), and a painful torment awaits them in the Hereafter if they do not repent, and Allah knows and you do not know as He knows the seen and the unseen, so do not utter what you have no knowledge of, and had it not been for the favor of Allah upon you, He would have hastened the punishment for You, but He is Most Kind, Most Merciful to His servants as He makes clear to them the rulings before the argument is established against them, and He always accepts the repentance of His servants.

Allah says in the next verse (21) "O you who believe! Do not follow the footsteps of Satan, and whoever follows the footsteps of Satan, then indeed, he enjoins the immorality and the evil, and had it not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, none of you would have been purified, ever, but Allah purifies whom He wills, and Allah All-Hearing, All-Knower", that is, Allah warns the believers from following the footsteps of Satan, and whoever follows the footsteps of Satan, so he has went astray; for Satan enjoins the immorality and the evil and every sin is one of the steps of Satan, and had it not been for the favor of Allah, none of you would not have been purified, guided or known righteousness, but Allah purifies the souls from immorality and bad morals and He guides whom He wills to the straight path, and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knower where nothing in the heavens nor on the earth is hidden from Him, so He knows best who deserves guidance and who deserves misguidance.

Allah says in the next verse (22) "And let not those of grace among you and wealth swear not to give those of the near of kin and the needy and the Muhajireen in the way of Allah, and let them pardon and overlook, Would you not like that Allah forgives you?, and Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful", that is, Allah urges those of the grace and wealth not to swear that they will not give alms to their kinsmen, the needy, and the emigrants in the way of Allah, and let them pardon and overlook what they did of harm and abuse, and as you would like that Allah forgives you, so forgive those who offended you, and Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful for those who repent, believe, and do righteous deeds. This verse was revealed about Abu Bakr Alseddiq where as narrated by Aisha: "When Allah revealed this to confirm my innocence , Abu Bakr Alseddiq, who used to provide for Mistah bin Uthatha because of the latter's kinship to him and his poverty, said by Allah I will never provide for Mistah anything after what he has said about Aisha, so Allah revealed the current Aya, Abu Bakr said yes by Allah I wish that Allah should forgive me, so he resumed giving Mistah the aid he used to give him before and said by Allah I will never withhold it from him at all".

Allah says in the next three verses (23-25) "Indeed, those who accuse chaste women, unaware women, believing women are cursed in the worldly life and the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment, the day when their tongues and their hands and their feet will testify against them of what they used to do, on that day, Allah will give them their reckoning in full, and they will know that Allah is the Clear Truth", that is, Allah threatens those who accuse the chaste, heedless, and believing women who never commit immorality and never think of anything of shamefulness, that they are accused in the worldly life and the Hereafter, and they will have a great punishment in the Hereafter, and on the day of resurrection, their tongues, their hands, and their feet will speak and testify against them of what they used to do of slander and defamation, and on that day Allah will give them their recompense in full, and they will know that Allah is the Clear Truth as they will know that His promise is the truth, and His reckoning is justice. Thereupon, slandering the chaste, heedless, and believing women is one of the great sins that lead to Hellfire if man does not repent and reform where as narrated by Abu Hurayrah: "The Prophet (PBUH) said avoid the seven great destructive sins, the people said O Allah's Messenger! What are they?, He said to join others in worship along with Allah, to practice sorcery, to kill the soul which Allah has forbidden except for a just cause, to eat up Riba (Usury), to eat up an orphan's wealth, to give back to the enemy and fleeing from the battlefield at the time of fighting, and to accuse the chaste, heedless, and believing women".

Allah says in the next verse (26) "Evil words are for evil men, and evil men are for evil words and good words are for good men, and good men are for good words, those are innocent of what they say, for them is forgiveness and a noble provision", that is, every evil word or deed is suitable for an evil person like it, and every good word or deed is suitable for a good person like it, and Allah's Messenger is the best of all creation, so only a good word and a good deed befits Him and His wife, then Allah assures that Aisha and Safwan are innocent of what they said, and the slander does not befit them for they are a good woman and a good man, so they will have a forgiveness and a noble provision in the Hereafter as a reward for what they were accused of.

Allah says in the next verse (27) "O you who believe! Do not enter houses other than your houses until you have asked permission and you have greeted its inhabitants that is better for you so that you may be reminded", that is, Allah commands the believers not to enter homes other than their own until they have asked permission and greeted its inhabitants and they should ask permission three time, if they are permitted, they enter, otherwise they leave, and that is better for the one who asks permission and for the people of the house, so that you may be reminded of Allah's commands and prohibitions and act in accordance with them, and as narrated by Abu Sa'id Alkhudri: "While I was present in one of the gathering of the Ansar, Abu Musa came as if he was scared, and said I asked permission to enter upon Umar three times, but I was not given the permission, so I returned, Umar came and asked Abu Musa Why did you not enter?, Abu Musa replied I asked permission three times, and I was not given it, so I returned, for Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said If anyone of you asks the permission to enter thrice, and the permission is not given, then he should return, Umar said by Allah! We will ask Abu Musa to bring witnesses for it, Abu Musa went to a gathering of the Ansar and said Did anyone of you hear this from the Prophet?, Ubai bin Ka'b said by Allah none will go with you but the youngest of the people, I was the youngest of them, so I went with Abu Musa and informed Umar that the Prophet had said so".

Allah says in the next two verses (28,29) "And if you do not find anyone therein, then Do not enter them until permission is given to you, and if it is said to you Go back, then Go back, it is purer for you and Allah is All-Knower of what you do, there is no blame upon you that you enter uninhabited houses in which there is benefit for you, and Allah knows what you declare and what you conceal", that is, Allah forbade the believers in the previous verse from entering homes other than their own without permission, and if they do not find anyone therein to give them permission, then they do not enter it until permission is given to them, and it is not permissible to enter even if the door is open nor is permissible to look at those who are inside it where as narrated by Sahl Bin Sa'd: "A man peeped through a round hole into the dwelling place of the Prophet, while the Prophet had a Midray (An iron comb) with which He was scratching His head, the Prophet said Had known you were looking, I would have pierced your eye with it (the comb), indeed, the order of taking permission has been enjoined because of the sight", and if you are not given permission and it is said to you Go back, then Go back and do not stand at people's door, that is purer for you, and Allah is All-Knower of what you do, whether you obey Him or disobey Him regarding to seeking permission, so its a warning against spying on homes and entering therein while their people are unaware. But Allah has made an exception for uninhabited homes, where there is no blame upon you that you enter uninhabited homes in which there is benefit for you like public places; because the reason of seeking permission is the fear of seeing what is forbidden and assaulting on the right of ownership, so when the reason is removed, the ruling is removed, and Allah knows what you declare and what you conceal, so He will reward each for his deeds.

Allah says in the next verse (30) "Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and they should guard their private parts, that is purer for them, indeed, Allah is All-Aware of what you do", that is, Allah commanded His Messenger to order the believing men to lower their gaze at those whom He has forbidden to them of women, and to look only at those He has permitted them to look at, and if their sight falls at a non-mahram unintentionally, then let them quickly turn their gaze away from it, where as narrated by Jabir bin Abdullah: "I asked Allah's Messenger about the sudden glance, He commanded me that I should turn away my eyes". And Allah commanded His Messenger to order the believing men to guard their private parts whether from adultery or from being seen by others, and the private parts of men are from below the navel to the knees, where as narrated by Jarhad: "The Messenger of Allah sat with us and my thigh was uncovered, He said Do you not know that thigh is a private part?", and as narrated by Abu Sa'id Alkudri: ''The Prophet said a man should not look at the private parts of another man, and a woman should not look at the private parts of another woman". Thereupon, the believing men are commanded to guard their private parts except from their wives and those their right hands possess of slave-girls as mentioned in Aya (6) of Surat Almu'minun, and that is purer for them, and Allah is All-Aware of what you do for He puts you in a trial and He will see what you declare and what you conceal where Allah's Messenger said in narration of Abu Hurayrah: "Allah has written for the son of Adam his inevitable share of adultery whether he is aware of it or not, the adultery of eye is the looking, and the adultery of tongue is to utter, and the inner self wishes and longs for, and the private parts turn that into reality or refrain from submitting to the temptation".

Allah say in the next verse (31) "And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze, and they should guard their private parts and do not display their adornment except that which appears thereof, and let them draw their head covers over their chests, and do not display their adornment except to their husbands or their fathers or the fathers of their husbands or their sons or the sons of their husbands, or their brothers or the sons of their brothers, or the sons of their sisters or their women or what their right hands possess or the attendants having no lust, or the children who are not aware of private aspects of the women, and let them not hit with their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment, and repent to Allah O believers, all of you, so that you may succeed", that is, Allah commanded His Messenger to order the believing women to lower their gaze at those whom He has forbidden to them of men, and to look only at those He has permitted them to look at, and if their sight falls at a non-mahram unintentionally, then let them quickly turn their gaze away from it, and Allah commanded His Messenger to order the believing women to guard their private parts whether from adultery or from being seen by others except from their husbands, and the private parts of a woman for another woman are from below the navel to the knees, and it is not permissible for a woman to look at the private parts of another woman.

But in front of Non-mahram men, it is not permissible for women to display their adornment except that which appears thereof which is the face, hands, and clothes, and let them draw their head covers over their chests in order to cover the hair, neck and chest, and this command completes the command of drawing down their garments over them as mentioned in Aya (59) of Surat Alahzab, so that nothing of the women's bodies is visible except their faces and their hands, and as narrated by Aisha: "May Allah bestow mercy on the early emigrant women, when Allah revealed "And let them draw their head covers over their chests", they tore their murat (clothes) and covered their heads with it". The scholars differed about the obligation of covering a woman's face and hands in front of Non-mahram men, as some of them said that it is not obligatory, some said it is obligatory according to Aya (59) of Surat Alahzab; for they interpreted "Jalabebehenna" or their garments as what covers the face and the whole body, while some scholars said that it is not obligatory but it a desirable thing, and some said that she must cover them when there is a fear of temptation such as if the woman is of extraordinary beauty or there is an abundance of corruption and spread of immorality.

But as for the hidden adornment like anklet, earring, bracelet, and what the women were commanded to cover in front of Non-mahram men, they are commanded not to display their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, the fathers of their husbands, their sons, the sons of their husbands, their brothers, the sons of their brothers, the sons of their sisters, their women who are Muslim women as it is not permissible for a believing woman to uncover her body in front of Non-Muslim woman except that she is her slave girl, what their right hands possess of slaves or slave-girls where as narrated by Anas bin Malik: ''The Prophet brought Fatima a slave which He donated to her, Fatima wore a garment which when she covered her head did not reach her feet, and when she covered her feet by it, that garment did not reach her head, when the Prophet saw her struggle, He said there is no harm to you, here is only your father and your slave", or the attendants having no lust like effeminate men and the needy who have a disease in their minds, and they do not care about women nor do they desire them, or the children who are not aware of private aspects of the women, and they do not understand the condition of women and their private parts, but if the attendants understand the aspects of women or the child is a teenager or close to adolescence, then they should not enter upon women where as narrated by Umm Salama: "The Prophet (PBUH) came to me while there was an effeminate man siting with me, and I heard him saying to Abdullah bin Abi Umaiya O Abdullah! See if Allah should make you conquer Alta'if tomorrow, then take the daughter of Ghailan (in marriage) as she shows four folds of flesh when facing you, and eight when she turns her back, the Prophet then said these should never enter upon you".

Then Allah commanded the Muslim women not to hit the earth with their feet in a way so that the adornment they conceal is known, where when the woman in the Jahiliyyah was walking on the road with a silent anklet on her leg the sound of which could not be heard, she used to hit the ground with her leg so that the men would hear its sound, so Allah forbade the Muslim woman from doing such a thing, likewise, if some of their adornment is hidden, and they move with a movement to make known what they conceal of their adornment, then this is included in this prohibition. Then Allah commanded all believers to repent to Him, and to act according to these noble qualities and good morals, and to leave what the people of Jahiliyyah were upon in terms of bad and evil manners; for the success is doing what Allah and His Messenger commanded and leaving what they forbade.

Allah says in the next verse (32) "And Marry the unmarried among you, and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves, if they are poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knower", that is, Allah commanded the believers to marry the woman who does not have a husband, the man who does not have a wife, the righteous male slave, and the righteous female slave, whether they were divorced, widowed, or they were not married before, and Allah encourages them to marry and promises them of richness as they do not refrain from getting married because of the poverty of the man or the woman for if they are poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is All-Encompassing in His bounty, Generous with His gifts, All-Knower of His creation as nothing of their affair is hidden from Him.

Allah says in the next two verses (33,34) "And let those who do not find marriage be chaste until Allah enriches them from His bounty, and those who seek the writing from those whom your right hands possess, then Give them the writing if you know any good in them, and Give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given you and Do not compel your slave girls to the prostitution if they desire chastity that you may seek the gain of the worldly life, and whoever compels them, the indeed, Allah after their compulsion is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful, and indeed, We have sent down to you clear verses and an example of those who passed on before you and an admonition for the righteous", that is, Allah commanded those who do not find means to marry women to refrain from committing what Allah has forbidden them of immoralities until He enriches them from His bounty and expands for them His provision, and as narrated by Abdullah: "We were with the Prophet (PBUH) while we were young and had no wealth, so Allah's Messenger said O young people! Whoever among you can marry, should marry because it helps him lower his gaze and guard his private parts, and whoever is not able to marry, should fast as fasting diminishes his sexual power". Then Allah commanded the masters to write a contract (Alketabah) to their male and female slaves, if they asked them to be free and independent on the condition that they will pay money to them, if the masters knew any good in their slaves and that the slave has honesty and power to pay his master what he stipulated to pay, and Allah commanded the masters to give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given them whether giving them an amount of money or deducting a part of the agreed amount of Alketabah.

Then Allah commanded the Muslims not to compel their slave girls to the prostitution if they desire chastity that they may seek the gain of the worldly life where the people of Aljahiliyyah used to send their slave girls to commit adultery and impose a tax on them as narrated by Jabir: "Abdullah bin Ubayy bin Salul had two slave-girls, one was called Musaika and the other one was called Umaima, and he compelled them to prostitution, they made a complaint about this to Allah's Messenger, so Allah revealed "Do not compel your slave girls to the prostitution" up to " All-Forgiving, Most Merciful", so Allah forbade the Muslim to do so and Allah's Messenger said in narration of Raf'i' bin Khadij: "The worst earning is the earning of a prostitute, the price of a dog, and the earning of a cupper (Who treats with cupping)", and whoever compels his slave girls to prostitution, then Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful for them after they being compelled, and the sin will be upon the one who compels them to do so. Allah assures that He has sent down clear verses in the Holy Quran and an example of the previous nations and what befell them when they disobeyed Allah's commands, and an admonition for the righteous of Allah's punishment and vengeance on those who disobey Him, so they will be admonished by it, obey Allah's commands, and avoid His prohibitions.

Allah says in the next verse (35) "Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth, the example of His Light is like a niche therein there is a lamp, the lamp is in a glass, the glass as if it were a brilliant star which lights from a blessed tree, an olive, which is neither eastern nor western, its oil would almost glow even if the fire has not touched it, light upon light, Allah guides to His Light whom He wills, and Allah cites the examples for the people and Allah is All-Knower of everything", that is, Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth as the light of guidance is in His hand alone, so He casts the Light of His guidance on whom He wills, and whoever Allah does not make a light for him, there is no light for him as it will come later in Aya (40), and as narrated by Abdullah bin Amr: "The Messenger of Allah said, indeed, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, created His creation in darkness, then He cast His Light upon them, so whoever is touched by that light he is guided, and whoever is not, he goes astray, it is for the reason that I say that the pens have dried with Allah's knowledge", then Allah has made an example of His Light as the light that the people see clearly in front of their eyes, so the example of His Light is like a niche therein there is a lamp so that the lamp is more luminous than in others, and the lamp is in a glass, the illumination and light of the glass appear as if it were a brilliant star which lights from the oil of a blessed tree which is an olive tree, and it is not eastern on which the sun rises nor is it western on which the sun sets, but the sun rises and sets on it, therefore its oil is the finest, purest, and most luminous, so its oil would almost glow even if the fire has not touched it, and if the fire touches it, it becomes light upon light, then Allah assures that He guides to His Light whom He wills, and He cites the examples for the people so that they may be guided, and Allah is All-Knower of everything as nothing is hidden from Him in the heavens nor on the earth, and He knows best who deserves guidance, and who deserves misguidance.

Allah says in the next three verses (36-38) "In houses which Allah has permitted that they be raised, and His name to be mentioned therein, glorify Him therein in the morning and in the evening, men whom neither a trade nor a sale distracts them from the remembrance of Allah and from establishing the prayer and giving the Zakah, they fear a day in which the hearts and the eyes will turn, that Allah may reward them for the best of what they did, and increase them from His bounty, and Allah provides whom He will without account", that is, Allah has permitted that the mosques be built, raised, and purified from impurities, and inappropriate deeds and words, and it is built in order to mention the Name of Allah therein and to establish the prayer day and night, and Allah's Messenger said in narration of Umar bin Alkhattab: "Whoever builds a mosque in which the Name of Allah is mentioned, Allah will build a house for him in paradise", and it is not permissible to take the mosques for other purposes where as narrated by Abu Hurayrah: "The Messenger of Allah said when you see someone selling or buying in the mosque then say May Allah not profit your business, and when you see someone announcing about something lost, then say May Allah not return it to you". Allah is mentioned in these mosques by men who are not distracted by a trade or selling from the remembrance of Allah, attending the prayer in its prescribed time, and giving the Zakah (Obligatory charity), so the worldly life and its adornment did not distract them from the remembrance of Allah for they fear the day of resurrection in which the hearts and the eyes will turn from its horrors, so on that day, Allah will accept the best of what they did, overlook their bad deeds, and multiply the reward for them from His bounty, and Allah will enter them Paradise and will provide them from its fruits, blessings, and pleasures without account.

Allah says in the next two verses (39,40) "And those who disbelieve, their deeds are like a mirage in a flat land which the thirsty thinks it is water until, when he came to it, he finds it nothing, but finds Allah before him, and He will pay him his account in full, and Allah is swift in reckoning, or is like the darknesses in a deep sea covered by waves above which are waves, above which are clouds, darknesses, some of them above others, when he puts his hand out, he could not see it, and whoever Allah does not make a light for him, there is no light for him", that is, Allah cites two examples of the disbelievers who think that they are upon the truth in deeds and beliefs while they are upon nothing, the first of which is that their deeds are like a mirage that the thirsty one sees on a flat land or a desert from a distance as if it were a water, so he went to it in order to quench his thirst, but when he reached it, he did not find anything, likewise, the disbeliever thinks that he has done good deeds in the worldly life, but when he meets Allah on the day of resurrection, he will not find anything, and Allah will recompense him for his deeds in full, and he will not find anything for him wholly accepted, and Allah is swift in reckoning His servants; because His knowledge encompasses all their affairs. The second example is that their deeds are like the darknesses in a deep sea covered by waves above which are waves, above which are clouds, darknesses, some of them above others, when he puts his hand out, he could not see it where he is in the darkness of the sea, the darkness of the waves, the darkness of the night, and the darkness of the clouds, likewise, the disbeliever will not see his deeds on the day of resurrection because he was in the darkness of disbelief in the worldly life, so Allah will proceed to whatever he did of a deed, and We will make it a scattered dust as mentioned in Aya (23) of Surat Alfurqan, then Allah assures that whoever He does not grant him the light of guidance and faith, he has no light that brings him out of the darkness of disbelief.

Allah says in the next two verses (41,42) "Do You not see that Allah is glorified by whoever is in the heavens and the earth and the birds spreading?, each one verily has known his prayer and his glorification, and Allah is All-Knower of what they are doing, and to Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah is the final return", that is, Allah addresses His Messenger (PBUH) and assures Him that whoever is in the heavens and the earth including the Angels, the Jinn, and the men glorifies Allah, even the birds glorifies Allah while they spread their wings out at the time of flight, and each one has known his prayer and his glorification that Allah has inspired and guided him to, and Allah is All-Knower of what they do as nothing of their prayer and glorification is Hidden from Him, then Allah assures that the kingdom of the heavens and the earth belongs to Him alone, and to Him the final return on the day of resurrection, then He will judge between His servants what He wills.

Allah says in the next two verses (43,44) "Do You not see that Allah drives clouds then He joins them together, then He makes them into a heap, then You see the rain comes out through it?, and He sends down from the sky, from mountains in which there is hail, and He strikes with it whom He wills and turns it away from whom He wills, the light of its lightning almost takes the sight away, Allah alternates the night and the day, indeed, in that is a lesson for those who have insight", that is, Allah addresses His Messenger and assures Him that He drives the clouds while they are dispersed, then He combines between them, then He makes them into a heap and piled one top of each other, then you see the rain comes out from their midst, and Allah sends down from mountains of hail in the sky small pieces of snow, and He strikes with it whom He wills, so it destroys his crops, trees, and money, and Allah turns the hail away from whom He wills as a mercy from Him, the light of lightning that accompanies rain and hail almost takes the sight away of the intensity of its brilliance and light. Then Allah assures that He is the One who has made the night and the day in succession, if one of them comes, the other goes, and it is not permissible for the night to overtake the day, nor is permissible for the day to overtake the night, and in the condition of the rain and the hail, and the alternation of the night and the day are lessons and signs for those who have insight; because they indicate Allah's power and greatness in His creation.

Allah says in the next two verses (45,46) "And Allah has created every moving creature from water, so of them is he who walks on its belly, and of them is he who walks on two legs, and of them is he who walks on four, Allah creates what He wills, indeed, Allah is All-Powerful over everything, indeed, We have sent down a clear verses, and Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path", that is, Allah confirms His complete power and great ability in creating all kinds of moving creatures from water where Allah has made from water every living thing as He has stated in Aya (30) of Surat Alanbiyaa, so some of them walk on its belly like snakes and their likes, some of them walk on two legs like humans and birds, and some of them walk on four legs like cattle and other animals, and Allah creates by His power what He wills, indeed, He is All-Powerful to do whatever He wills as neither impediment nor inability can prevent Him from doing whatever He wills. Then Allah assures that He has sent down a clear verses in the Holy Quran that guides to the truth and the path of righteousness, but guidance belongs to Allah alone, so He guides whom He wills to a straight path.

Allah says in the next four verses (47-50) "And they say we have believed in Allah and in the Messenger, and we have obeyed, then a party of them turns away after that, and those are not believers, and when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them, behold! a party of them  is turning away, and if the right is theirs, they come to Him as submissive, Is there a disease in their hearts Or do they doubt Or do they fear that Allah and His Messenger will do injustice to them?, but those are the wrongdoers", that is, the hypocrites say we believe in Allah and His Messenger, and we have obeyed both of them, but a party of them turns away from the truth and those are not believers where they say what they do not do, and they declare the opposite of what they conceal, and when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them regarding what they disputed about by Allah's judgment, some of them turns away from accepting the truth and from accepting the judgment of Allah's Messenger, but if they have the right and not being against them, they come to Allah's Messenger as submissive and accepting His judgment, and if the right is against them, they do not accept the judgment of Allah's Messenger, rather they accept the judgment of those who agree with their desires, then Allah says Is there a disease in their hearts so they do not accept the truth, Or do they have doubt about the religion, Or do they fear that Allah and His Messenger will be unjust in their judgment?, unquestionably, Allah and His Messenger do not wrong, but they themselves are the wrongdoers for they turn away from the judgment of Allah and His Messenger.

Allah says in the next two verses (51,52) "The only saying of the believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger that He may judge between them, is that they say we hear, and obey, and those are the successful, and whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger and feared Allah and fears Him, then those are the winners", that is, the believers only accept the judgment of Allah and His Messenger, so when they are called to Allah and His Messenger so that Allah's Messenger judges between them by Allah's judgment, the only saying of them is that they say we hear and obey, so they are the successful ones, and whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger in what they commanded him to do, and forsaking what they forbade him, and feared Allah in the past of his life, and fears Him in the rest of his life, then those are the winners who will be saved from Hellfire, and will enter Paradise on the day of resurrection.

Allah says in the next two verses (53,54) "And they swore by Allah the strongest of their oaths that if You ordered them, they would go out, Say Do not swear, obedience is known, indeed, Allah is All-Aware of what you do, Say obey Allah and obey the Messenger, but if they turn away, then only upon Him what is placed on Him, and upon you what is placed on you, and if you obey him, you will be guided, and is not upon the Messenger except the clear conveyance", that is, the polytheists of Quraish swore by Allah the strongest of their oaths that if Allah's Messenger ordered them to go out in order to fight in the cause of Allah, they would go out, so Allah ordered His Messenger to say to them Do not swear, your obedience is known, it is saying without doing, and Allah is All-Aware of what you do, and He knows that you swear and show obedience but conceal the opposite of that, then Allah ordered His Messenger to order them to obey Allah and the Messenger, but if they turn away, then only upon Allah's Messenger what is placed on Him from conveying Allah's message to them, and upon them what is placed on them of obedience in word and deed, and if they obeyed Allah's Messenger, they will be guided, and is not upon the Messenger except to convey Allah's Message to them and they will bear the result of their disbelief and denial.

Allah says in the next verse (55) "Allah has promised those who believe among you and do righteous deeds that He will surely make them successors in the earth as He granted succession to those before them, and He will surely establish for them their religion that He has approved for them, and He will surely replace for them security after their fear, they worship Me, not associating anything with Me, but whoever disbelieve after that, then those are the disobedient", that is, Allah has promised His Messenger that He will make those who believe and do righteous deeds, from among His Ummah, successors in the earth, and He will make them the leaders and the inheritors of the land of the polytheists from among Arabs and Non-Arabs, as He has given succession to those before them like those who believed from among the Children of Israel who inherited the land of Egypt and they bequeathed all the bliss that Pharaoh and his people left after their destruction as mentioned in Aya (59) of Surat Alshu'araa, that He will establish for them the religion of Islam that He has chosen for them, and that He will grant them security after their fear, and Allah's promise to His Messenger was fulfilled, the beginning was that Allah gave His Messenger and the believers victory over Mecca, Khaibar, Bahrain, and the rest of Arab Peninsula, then after the death of Allah's Messenger, His successor Abu Bakr, sent Islamic armies to Persia, the Levant, and Egypt, and the mission was completed by the Caliph Umar bin Alkhattab, so the Levant, Egypt, and most of the province of Persia were conquered, and during the reign of Uthman bin Affan, the Islamic kingdom extended to the far east and west where the west was conquered to the farthest part of Andalusia, Cyprus, and Kairouan, and the east was conquered to the farthest part of China, and Khusruo was killed and his kingdom was completely destroyed, and the cities of Iraq, Khurasan, Ahwaz, and Turkey were also conquered. Thereupon, Allah has granted the Ummah of the Prophet Muhammad with these blessings because they worship Him alone, and not associating idols or anything else besides Allah, so whoever denied these blessings, disobeyed, and disbelieved after that, then those are the disobedient people.

Allah says in the next two verses (56,57) "And Establish the prayer and Give Zakah and Obey the Messenger so that You may receive mercy, Do not think that the disbelievers can cause failure on the earth, and their abode will be the fire, and wretched is the fate", that is, Allah orders the believers to establish the prayer in its prescribed time, to give Zakah (The obligatory charity), and to obey His Messenger by following His orders, and avoiding His prohibitions so that they receive Allah's Mercy, then Allah addresses His Messenger and says Do not think that the disbelievers can cause failure on the earth nor can they escape from Allah's authority, so Allah assures that their abode will be the fire on the day of resurrection, abiding therein forever, and wretched is the final return in Hellfire.

Allah says in the next verse (58) "O you who believe! Let those whom your right hands possess and those who have not reached puberty among you, ask your permission at three times, before the dawn prayer and when you put off your clothes at noon, and after the night prayer, three times of privacy for you, there is no blame upon you nor upon them after them, they circulate among you, some of you among others, thus Allah makes clear the verses to you, and Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise", that is, Allah has commanded the believers not to enter houses other their own houses without permission as shown above in Aya (27), and He gave them three times of their privacy in their houses, so let those whom their right hands possess of slaves, males and females, and the children who do not reach puberty ask them permission at three times which are before the down prayer, when they put off their clothes at noon, and after the night prayer (Ishaa prayer); because man may put his clothes off on these times, and they see his private parts or they see him while he is having sexual intercourse with his wife. But if they enter at times other than these three times, there is no blame upon you for enabling them to do so nor upon them if they see something at times other than these times, so they enter and go around you morning and evening without permission at times other than the three times, some of you go around among others, and Allah makes clear His commands and prohibitions, so that the obedient to Him may be distinguished from the disobedient, and Allah is the All-Knower of everything as nothing is hidden from Him in the heavens or on the earth, All-Wise who manages His creation with wisdom in His laws and destiny.

Allah says in the next verse (59) "And when the children among you reach the puberty, then let them ask permission as those before them have asked permission, thus Allah makes clear His verses to you, and Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise", that is, if the children who used to ask permission at the three times reach puberty, they must ask permission at all times like the adults who ask permission of man's sons and relatives, then Allah assures again that He makes clear His commands and prohibitions, so that the obedient to Him may be distinguished from the disobedient, and Allah is the All-Knower of everything as nothing is hidden from Him in the heavens or on the earth, All-Wise who manages His creation with wisdom in His laws and destiny.

Allah says n the next verse (60) "And the old women who have no desire for marriage, there is no blame upon them that they put off their clothes, not displaying their adornment, but to abstain is better for them, and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knower", that is, Allah has made an exception for the old women who are beyond the age of menstruation and do not wish to marry that they can put their outer garment off in their houses in the presence of the Non-mahram men on the condition that they do not display their adornment, although it is permissible to put the outer garment off, but to put it on is better for them, and and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knower where nothing in the heavens nor on the earth is hidden from Him.

Allah says in the next verse (61) "There is no blame upon the blind, nor is there a blame upon the lame, nor is there a blame upon the sick, nor is there a blame upon yourselves that you eat from your houses, or the houses of your fathers, or the houses of your mothers, or the houses of your brothers, or the houses of your sisters, or the houses of your paternal uncles, or the houses of your paternal aunts, or the houses of your maternal uncles, or the houses of your maternal aunts, or what you possess its keys, or your friend, there is no blame upon you that you eat together or separately, but when you enter houses, then greet yourselves with a greeting from Allah, blessed and good, thus Allah makes clear the verses to you so that you may understand", that is, Allah has permitted the blind, the lame, and the sick who do not find food and the Muslims in general to eat wherever they find it, so there is no blame upon them that they eat from their houses, the houses of their fathers, the houses of their mothers, the houses of their brothers, the houses of their sisters, the houses of their paternal uncles, the houses of their paternal aunts, the houses of their maternal uncles, the houses of their maternal aunts, the houses they possess its keys as it is permissible to the slaves to eat from the houses of their masters, or your friend, and Allah has permitted them to eat with others or alone.

Then He commanded them when they enter their houses or the houses of others to greet one another with a blessed and a good greeting from Allah, and the greeting here is a greeting of permission for Allah has prohibited the believers from entering houses other than their own houses without permission as shown above in Aya (27), and Allah's Messenger said in narration of Abdullah bin Umar: "An animal should not be milked without the permission of its owner, Does any of you like that somebody comes to his store and breaks his container and takes away his food?, the udders of the animals are the stores of their owners where their provision is kept, so nobody should milk the animals of somebody else without the permission of its owner", then Allah assures that He has made clear the verses so that you may understand, reflect on, act according them

Allah says in the next verse (62) "The believers are only those who believe in Allah and His Messenger, and when they are with Him for a collective matter, they do not go until they have asked His permission, indeed, those who ask your permission are those who believe in Allah and His Messenger, so when they ask Your permission for some of their affair, then Give permission to whom you will from among them, and Ask forgiveness of Allah for them, indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful", that is, the true believers are those who believe in Allah and His Messenger, and when they are with Allah's Messenger for consulting on a collective matter or gathering for war, they do not go until they have asked His permission, then Allah assures that those who ask the permission from Allah's Messenger are those who truly believe in Allah and His Messenger, and do not disobey the command of Allah and His Messenger, thereupon, Allah commanded His Messenger to give permission to whom He wills from among them when they ask His permission for some of their affairs, and to ask forgiveness for them, indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful for those who repent, believe, and do righteous deeds.

Allah says in the last two verses (63,64) "Do not make the calling of the Messenger among you as the calling of some of you to others, indeed, Allah knows those who infiltrate in secret from among you, so let those who violate his order beware lest a trial befalls them, or a painful punishment befalls them, unquestionably, to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, indeed, He knows what you you are on it and the day when they will be returned to Him, then He will inform them of what they have done, and Allah is All-Knower of everything", that is, Allah teaches the believers how to deal with His Messenger if He called them to gather to consult about a matter as He commanded them not to make the calling of Allah's Messenger as the call of one another, and not to leave Him without His permission, then Allah assures that He knows those who sneak away from His Messenger without permission, so Allah threatens those who violate the order of Allah's Messenger and says let them beware lest a trial befalls them in their hearts such as hypocrisy, disbelief, or heresy, or a painful torment befalls them in the worldly life such as killing or legal punishment. Then Allah assures that whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth belongs to Him alone, and He knows what you are on it of obedience or disobedience, so on the day of resurrection when they will be returned to Him, He will inform them of what they used to do in the worldly life and He is All-Knower of everything as nothing is hidden from Him in the heavens nor on the earth.
