Simplified interpretation:
Surat Fussilat begins with two letters of the Arabic language, just like 28 Surahs of the Holy Quran that start with individual letters ranging from one to five letters. It is noticeable that in all 29 Surahs the book or the Holy Quran is mentioned whether it is immediately after these letters or it is included in the Surah or even at the end of it. It is a challenge from Allah, Almighty, to the infidels of Quraish, as if Allah says to them this is the book in the letters of the language you speak, but you will not be able to produce the like of it, and He has already challenged them in Aya (88) of Surat Alisraa "Say, if mankind and the Jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants". As for the current Surah, it begins with two letters "Ha and Meem" or "H and M" in English followed by "A revelation from the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, A book whose verses are detailed, Arabic Quran for a people who know", but the knowledge of these letters remains with Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
Allah says in the first five verses (1-5) ''Ha Meem, a revelation from the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, A book whose verses are explained in details, an Arabic Quran for a people who know, A giver of glad tiding and a warner, but most of them turn away, so they do not hear, and they say, our hearts are in coverings from what you call us to it, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a barrier, so work, indeed, we are working", that is, Allah assures the polytheists of Quraish that the Holy Quran is a revelation from Him, and He is the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and it is a book whose verses are explained in details, so its meanings, and rulings have been clarified for those who know that it is the truth from their Lord and believe in Him, where it is an Arabic Quran in the language they speak, and it gives glad tidings to the believers and a warning to the disbelievers, but most of the people of Quraish did not understand it despite its clarity, and they said that their hearts are covered and their ears are deaf, and there is a barrier between them and Our prophet Muhammad (PBUH), so no guidance reaches them nor they hear it, and they said to Allah's Messenger work for Your religion, we are working for our religion.
Allah says in the next three verses (6-8) "Say, I am only a human being like you, it is revealed to Me that Your God is One God, so Be upright towards Him, and Seek His forgiveness, and woe to the polytheists, those who do not give charity, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers, indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds, for them is a never ending reward", that is, Allah commanded His Messenger to say to the polytheists that He is a humanbeing like them, not is an Angel, and it was revealed to Him that their God is only one who is Allah with no partner, so He commanded them to become straight towards Him by worshipping Him alone and to seek His forgiveness for what they committed of polytheism and misdeeds, then Allah threatens the polytheists with the painful torment on the day of resurrection, where the word woe (Wail) idiomatically carries the meaning of destruction and perishing and means that the torment will be theirs as a recompense for their deeds.
The polytheists who deserved the painful torment are those who do not give charity (Zakat) and do not spend in the way of Allah, and do not believe in the Hereafter where belief in Allah always associated with establishing the prayer and giving Zakat in many verses throughout the Holy Quran such as Aya (277) of Surat Albaqarah and Aya (5) of Surat Albayyinah; because Zakat purifies the souls and reduces its attachment to the worldly life, but establishing the prayer is not mentioned here because Surat Fussilat was revealed before the prayer was made obligatory. But as for those who believe and do righteous deeds, then for them is uninterrupted reward in the Hereafter.
Allah says in the next four verses (9-12) "Say, Do you indeed disbelieve in the One who created the earth in two days, and make equals to Him?, that is the Lord of the worlds, and He placed therein firmly-set mountains above it, and blessed therein, and determined therein its sustenance in four days, equal for those who ask, then He turned towards the heaven while it was smoke, then He said to it and to the earth, come both of you, willingly or unwillingly, they both said, we com willingly, then He accomplished them as seven heavens in two days, and He revealed in each heaven its affair, and We adorned the lowest sky with lamps, and a protection, that is the decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knower", that is, Allah says as a denunciation Do the polytheists disbelieve in Him and made equals to Him, although He is the Lord of the worlds, and He is the One who created the earth in two days, then He placed firmly-set mountains in the earth and made it a blessed that can be sown, and He determined therein its sustenance and what is suitable for the livelihood of its people from plants, animals, rivers, and other benefits in every place, all this took place in another two days, so the creation of the earth and whatever is on it took place in four days, and Allah made its provision equal for those who ask, where He provides the believers and the disbelievers as He wills.
Then Allah turned to create the sky while it was smoke, and He ordered the sky and the earth to be subjected willingly or unwillingly, where the sky to be subjected to the sun, the moon, the stars, and the wind, while the earth to be subjected to the rivers, the trees, and the crops, so the sky and the earth responded to their Lord and both said "We com willingly", then Allah completed the creation of the sky as seven skies in another two days, thus the creation of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them took place in six days as mentioned in Surat Alsajdah Aya (4) ''Allah is the One who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days", then Allah arranged in every heaven its affair and what it needs from the Angels and other things that only He knows, and He decorated the lowest heaven with lamps which are the luminous stars that shine upon the inhabitants of the earth, and it is a protection from the devils where as mentioned in Surat Aljinn Aya (8) it filled with severe guards and flames lest they listen to the news of the sky, and that is the decree of the All-Mighty who is Severe in His revenge on those who disobeyed Him, and He is All-Knower of everything as nothing is hidden from Him in the heavens or on the earth.
Allah says in the next two verses (13,14) "But if they turn away, then say I have warned you a thunderbolt like the thunderbolt of Ad and Thamud, when the Messengers came to them from before them and from behind them that Do not worship except Allah, they said if our Lord had willed, He would have sent down Angels, so indeed, we are disbelievers in what you were sent with", that is, Allah commanded His Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) to warn them, if they turn away and deny what He has brought of the truth, that Allah's vengeance will befall them just as the thunderbolt struck the previous nations who denied their Messengers such as Ad, the people of the Prophet Hud, and Thamud, the people of the Prophet Saleh, where Allah has sent to them His Messengers from before and after with clear signs and proofs and all of them called to the worship of Allah alone who has no partner, but they denied their Messengers and said if Allah willed, He would have sent down Angels to convey His message, so they did not believe in humanbeing like them and said to their Messengers that they are disbelievers in what they have been sent with.
Allah cites the story of Ad in the next two verses (15,16) "Then as for Ad they were arrogant in the earth without right and they said who is greater than us in might? Do they not see that Allah the One who created them is greater than them in might, but they used to reject our signs, so We sent upon the a screaming wind in misfortune days that We make them taste the punishment of disgrace in the worldly life and the punishment of the hereafter is more disgracing, and they will not be helped", that is, Ad was of extraordinary power as Allah described them in Surat Alfajr Aya (8) "Which had not been created like them in the lands", but they transgressed and were arrogant in the land without right; because they thought that their power would prevent them from Allah's punishment, and they forgot that Allah the One who created them is more powerful than them, so they denied Allah's signs and disobeyed His Messengers, thereupon, Allah sent upon them a strong wind in days of misfortune, which were successive seven nights and eight days as mentioned in Surat Alhaqqah Aya (7), so Allah made them to taste the punishment of disgrace, and a disgraceful punishment awaits them in the Hereafter, and they will not find any helper to save them of Allah's punishment just as happened with them in the worldly life.
As for Thamud, Allah says in the next two verses (17,18) "And as for Thamud, We guided them but they preferred the blindness over the guidance, so the thunderbolt of the humiliating punishment seized them for what they used to earn, and We save those who believed and were pious", that is, Allah sent His Prophet Saleh to Thamud, and made clear to them the path of the truth from error, but they preferred the path of misguidance, so they denied their Messenger and slaughtered the she-camel of Allah, which was a sign of the truthfulness of His Prophet Saleh, as mentioned in Surat Alshams Ayat (11-15), thereupon, Allah destroyed them by overpowering blast and it was a humiliating punishment for what they used to earn of disbelief, denial, and misdeeds. And Allah saved His Prophet Saleh and those who believed with Him from the punishment and they were not touched by any harm or evil.
Allah says in the next three verses (19-21) "And the day when the enemies of Allah will be gathered to the Fire while they will be assembled in rows, until when they reach it, their hearing and their sights and their skins will testify against them of what they used to do, and they will say to their skins Why do you testify against us?, they will say, Allah made us to speak, the One who has made everything to speak, and He created you the first time and to him you will be returned", that is, the enemies of Allah who disbelieved in Him and denied His Messengers will be gathered to the Hellfire on the day of resurrection and all of them, the first and the last, will be gathered in one place, and when they reach the Hellfire, their hearing, their sight and their skins will testify of what they used to do in the worldly life, and when they ask their skin why do they testify against them, they will say that Allah made them to speak, the One who has made everything to speak, and He created them the first time and to him they will be returned. So man's parts will be his enemies on the day of resurrection and he will curse them where as narrated by Anas Bin Malik: "We were in the company of Allah's Messenger when He smiled, and said: Do you know why I laughed, We said: Allah and His Messenger know best, thereupon He said: It was because the talk which the servant would have with His Lord, he would say: my Lord, have You not guaranteed me protection against injustice, He would say: yes, then the servant would say: I do not deem valid any witness against me but my own self, and He would say: well, enough would be the witness of yourself against you and that of the two angels who had been appointed to record your deeds, then the seal would be set upon his mouth and it would be said to his hands, and feet to speak and they would speak of his deeds, then the mouth would be make free to talk, he would say: Be away, let there be curse upon you, it was for your safety that I contended".
Allah says in the next two verses (22,23) "And you were not hiding lest your hearing nor your sights nor your skins testify against you, but you thought that Allah does not know much of what you do, and that was your assumption which you assumed about your Lord, it has ruined you, so you have become of the losers", where as narrated by Abdullah Bin Mas'ud "I was hiding beneath the covering of the Ka'bah, and three men came along, a man from the Quraish and two of his brothers in law from Thaqif, or a man from Thaqif and two of his brothers in law from Quraish, their bellies were fat and they did not have much understanding, they said something that I could not understand, then one of them said: Do you think that Allah can hear what we are talking about?, another said: If we raise our voices, He will hear it, but if we do not raise our voices, He will not hear it, the other one said: If He can hear something from us then He can hear all of it, Abdullah said: I mentioned that to The Prophet (PBUH) , so Allah revealed these two verses. so their thought that Allah does not know much of they were doing has ruined them and they will be of the losers in the Hereafter; because people work according to their think of their Lord, as for the believer he thinks good of his Lord, then He does good deeds, but as for the disbeliever, he thinks badly of Allah, then he acts badly, so that Allah's Messenger commanded us to think good of Allah where as narrated by Abdullah Bin Jabir: "I heard Allah's Messenger as saying three days before His death: None of you should not court death but only hoping good from Allah".
Allah says in the next two verses (24,25) "Then if they are patient, the Fire is the abode for them, and if they ask to appease, they will not be of those who allowed to appease, and We have appointed for them companions who beautified for them what was before them and what was behind them, so the word has come true against them among nations that passed away before them of the Jinn and mankind, indeed, they were losers", that is, whether they are patient or not, they will be in the Hellfire and it will be their abode for what they used to do in the worldly life and this is similar to Aya (16) of Surat Altuor, and if they ask to appease and make excuses, they will not be of those who allowed to make excuses, so they have no excuses and they will abide in the Hellfire forever. Allah have assigned for them companions from the devils who beautified for them their evil deeds in the past and in the future, regarding the worldly life and the Hereafter, so they think that they are guided as mentioned in Surat Alzukhruf Aya (37), thereupon, the word of torment has come true against them as it was true against other nations that passed away before them of those who did as they did from the Jinn and human beings, so they were equal in destruction and loss.
Allah says in the next four verses (26-29) "And those who disbelieve say, Do not listen to this Quran and make noise therein so that you may overcome, but indeed, We will make those who disbelieve to taste a severe punishment, and indeed, We will recompense them the worst of what they used to do, that is the recompense of the enemies of Allah, the Fire, for them therein the abode of eternity a recompense of what they used to reject of Our verses, and those who disbelieve will say Our Lord show us those who led us astray of the Jinn and mankind that we may put them under our feet, so that they become of the lowest", that is, the polytheists of Quraish used to advise each other not to listen to the Holy Quran and not to follow it, but rather to invent falsehood, and make noise when Allah's Messenger recites it lest anyone hears Him, and thus they may overcome the Muslims, thereupon, Allah threatens them with a severe punishment in the Hereafter where He will recompense them the appropriate punishment for the worst deeds they committed in the worldly life, and this is the punishment that Allah has prepared for His enemies of the polytheists, and the Hellfire will be their abode, abiding therein forever as recompense because they used to deny and reject Allah's verses. When those who disbelieve enter Hellfire, they will ask Allah to show them those who have led them astray from following the path of the truth in the worldly life, from the Jinn and from human beings, in order to put them under their feet so that they will become in the lowest degree of Hellfire and to be more severely tormented than them; because the torment of Hellfire is more severe in the lowest levels, and they will ask Allah to double the punishment for those who had misled them as mentioned in Aya (38) of Surat Ala'araf "Our Lord these had misled us, so give them a double punishment of the Fire, He will say, for each is double, but you do not know".
Allah says in the next three verses (30-32) "Indeed, those who say Our Lord is Allah then were upright, the Angels will descend on them that Do not fear nor grieve, and Receive the glad tidings of Paradise which you were promised, we were your allies in the worldly life and in the Hereafter, and for you therein whatever your souls desire and for you therein what you ask, a hospitality from All-Forgiving, Most-Merciful", that is, those who believe that there is no god but Allah, and they were upright and clinging to their faith, the Angels will descend on them in the first stage of the Hereafter whether it is at death, in the graves, or on the day of resurrection, and they will say to them that there is no fear for them for what they will face later and they will not grieve for what they missed before, and they will give them glad tidings of Paradise which they had been promised, and this is similar to Ayat (13,14) of Surat Alahqaf. The Angels will say to them as they were their allies in the worldly life, so they will be their allies in the Hereafter as well, and they will find in the Paradise whatever their souls desire, and what they ask for, they receive immediately, and that is a hospitality and a blessing from Allah who is All-forgiving and Most Merciful for those who repent and believe.
Allah says in the next three verses (33-35) "And who is better in saying than he who calls to Allah and does righteous deeds, and says indeed, I am of the Muslims, and the good and the evil are not equal, repel with that which is better, behold, the one whom between You and him is enmity as if he were an intimate friend, and none is granted with it except those who are patient, and none is granted with it except the possessor of great luck", that is, Allah encourages people to call to his worship where there is no one who is better than the caller to Allah, then he was upright in believing in Him, he does righteous deeds, he does what he called to in terms of doing what Allah commanded and avoiding what He prohibited, and he said that he is of the Muslims who submit to Allah by obedience and faith in His oneness, thereupon, Allah confirms that good and evil are not equal where belief in Him and acting in obedience to Him are not equal to associating other gods with Him and acting in disobedience to Him, so whoever offends you repel him from you by being kind to him and being patient with his wrongdoing, and do not repel the abuser by offending him, and if you do so, you will see the one whom between you and him there is enmity as if he were a close friend. Those who are committed to this noble deed are those who are patient in restraining anger and enduring harm, and those who have a great luck of happiness in the worldly life and in the Hereafter.
After Allah has shown how to ward off the enmity of the men, He shows how to ward off the enmity of Satan in the next verse (36) and says "And if a whisper comes to you from Satan, an evil whisper, then Seek refuge in Allah, indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knower", that is, Satan aims to spread enmity and hatred between mankind, so he helps man to take revenge and repel evil with evil, and he does not want man to repel evil with good as Allah commanded above in Aya (34), and this is similar to Ayat (96,97) of Surat Almu'minun, so there is no trick in repelling the plot of Satan if he whispers to man except seeking refuge in Allah who has given him power over man, and because the plot of Satan has ever been weak as Allah has stated in Aya (76) of Surat Alnisaa, so if man sought refuge in Allah and resorted to him, He will repel the plot of Satan, and will save man from his harm, and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knower where nothing in the heavens or on the earth is hidden from Him. And as narrated by Sulaiman bin Surd: "While I was sitting in the company of the Prophet (PBUH), two men abused each other and the face of one of them became red with anger, and his jugular veins swelled, on that the Prophet said I know a word, if he had said it, what he finds (of severe anger) would have gone away from him, if He had said I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, what he finds would have gone away from him, so they said to Him the Prophet (PBUH) said Seek refuge in Allah from Satan, he said Am I mad?" (Sahih Albukhari 3282).
Allah says in the next three verses (37-39) "And of His signs are the night and the day and the sun and the moon, Do not prostrate to the sun nor to the moon, and prostrate to Allah, the One who created them if it is Him whom you worship, but if they are arrogant, then those who are with your Lord glorify Him by night and by day and they do not get tired, and of His signs is that You see the earth inactive, but when We send down upon it water it quivers and grows, indeed the One who has given life to it is the Giver of life to the dead, indeed, He is All-Powerful over everything", that is, Allah cites His great power in the creation of the day, the night, the sun, and the moon, where in the succession of the day and the sun along with the night and the moon are great signs for man, and through them the time and the days are calculated, as well as the times of worship, and because the sun and the moon are Allah's creatures and they are not worthy of worship, so Allah forbade the prostration to them, but rather the prostration should by to the One who has created them, and if man truly worships Allah, he does not associate anything with Him. Then Allah addresses His Messenger and says if the polytheists of Quraish were arrogant and refuse to acknowledge His oneness and to prostrate to Him alone, then the Angels glorify Allah by night and by day and they never tire of worshipping Him day and night. Then Allah cites an example of His ability to revive the dead, where when you see the earth lifeless and without vegetation, but when Allah sends down upon it the rain from the sky, it quivers and grows various kinds of crops and fruits, so be sure that the One who has given life to the earth is the Giver of life to the dead for He is All-Powerful over everything.
Allah says in the next three verses (40-42) "Indeed, those who distort in Our verses are not hidden from Us, so is he who is cast into the Fire is better or he who comes secure on the day of resurrection?, Do what you will, indeed, He is All-Seeing of what you do, indeed those who disbelieve in the reminder when it came to them, and indeed, it is a mighty book, the falsehood can not come to it from before it nor from behind it, a revelation from All-Wise, Praiseworthy", that is, Allah threatens those who turn away from the truth and misrepresent in His verses that they are not hidden from Him, and He will recompense them with a severe punishment, then He says as a denunciation "So is he who is cast into the Fire is better or he who comes secure on the day of resurrection?", they are not equal, so Allah threatens them to do whatever they will whether good or evil where He All-Seeing of what they do and nothing of their deeds is hidden from Him. Those who disbelieve in the Holy Quran when it came to them and it is a mighty and unparalleled book, and the falsehood did not come to it from before it nor from behind it because the devils did not reach the Holy Quran at the time of its revelation upon the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), where there was a guard in front of Gabriel, and a guard behind Him from among the Angels lest the devils steal anything from the Holy Quran and give it to the soothsayers in order to distort it as mentioned in Ayat (27,28) of Surat Aljinn, then Allah assures that the Holy Quran is a revelation from the All-Wise who manages His creation with wisdom in His laws and destiny, and He is the Praiseworthy of all what He decrees.
Allah says in the next two verses (43,44) "Nothing is said to You except what was said to the Messengers before You indeed, Your Lord is a Possessor of forgiveness, and a Possessors of painful punishment, and if We had made it a foreign Quran, they would have said, why are its verses not explained in details, Is it a foreign and an Arab?, say, for those who believe, it is guidance and a healing, and those who disbelieve, there is deafness in their ears and it is blindness upon them, those are being called from a distant place", that is, Allah addresses His Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) saying that the polytheists of Quraish did not say anything except what the polytheists before them said to their Messengers, where as Allah has stated in Aya (52) of Surat Aldhariyat "Likewise, no Messenger came to those before them except they said a magician or a madman", then Allah assures that He is a possessor of forgiveness for those who believe, repent, and do righteous deeds, and He is a possessor of painful torment for those who persist in their disbelief, tyranny, and stubbornness. So their disbelief and stubbornness led them to deny the Holy Quran, and if Allah had made it non-Arabic Quran, they would have said, why are its verses not explained in details in Arabic language, and they would have denounced how non-Arab words are revealed to an Arab who does not understand it, thereupon, Allah commanded His Messenger to say to them that the Holy Quran is a guidance for the hearts and a healing for the breasts: For it removes the diseases in the heart of doubt, hypocrisy, polytheism, and deviation from the right path for those who believe in it, whereas it is a deafness and a blindness for those who disbelieve so they will not be guided by it nor will they understand the clear proofs and arguments as if they are being called from a far place from their hearts, their hearing, and their sight.
Allah says in the next two verses (45,46) "And indeed, We have given Moses the book, but dispute arose therein, and if not for a word that preceded from Your lord it would have been judged between them, and indeed they are in confusing doubt about it, whoever does righteousness, then it is for himself, and whoever does evil, then it is against it, and Your Lord is not unjust to the servants", that is, Allah gave the Torah to His Prophet Moses, but His people differed in it where some people believed, while others disbelieved and denied it, so Allah confirms that if not for a word that preceded from Him that He will establish the reckoning on the day of resurrection, the punishment would have been hastened for them in the worldly life, and they are in confusing doubt; Because they were not certain of the truth and their denial was not out of insight, but rather they said it without any proof or evidence. Then Allah assures that whoever does righteous deeds, the benefit of them will only return to Him because Allah will reward Him with the best reward, and his destiny will be Paradise, but as for the one who does evil deeds, it is only due to himself because he harmed himself by gaining the wrath of Allah and deserving the painful torment, so his destiny will be Hellfire, and Allah is not unjust to the servants; Because He does not punish anyone except for a sin, and He does not punish anyone except after the proof has been established against him.
Allah says in the next two verses (47,48) "To Him is attributed the knowledge of the Hour, and no fruits come out of their covers, nor does a female get pregnant, nor does she give birth except with His knowledge, and the day He will call them where are My partners?, they will say, we announce you that there is no witness among us, and lost from them is that which they used to invent before, and they will realize that for them there is no refuge", that is, no one knows the time of the day of resurrection (the Hour) except Allah, and this is similar to Aya (44) of Surat Alnazi'at "To Your Lord is its finality", and nothing is hidden from Allah in the heavens nor on the earth, as He knows what appears from the fruits of a tree from the covers in which it is, and there is no female gets pregnant, nor does she give birth to her child except with the knowledge of Allah. On the day of resurrection Allah will call the polytheists, and will say to them, Where are My partners whom you worshipped with Me?, so they will declare that there is no one of them will testify that Allah has a partner. So on the day of resurrection, they will lost the idols whom they invoke in the worldly life, and they will not help them, rather they will be their enemies and will disavow them and will be deniers of their worship as Allah has stated in Aya (6) of Surat Alahqaf, and then they will be certain that there is no refuge for them from Allah's punishment.
Allah says in the next three verses (49-51) "Man does not get tired of supplication for good, but if the evil touches him, he is hopeless and despairing, and indeed, if We make him taste mercy from Us after an adversity has touched him, he will surely say this is to me, and I do not think that the Hour will be established, and if I returned to my Lord, I will have the best with Him, but We surely will inform those who disbelieve about what they did, and We will surely make them taste a severe punishment, and when We bestowed our favor upon man, he turns away and distances himself, but when the evil touches him, then he is a possessor of a broad supplication", that is, man does not get tired of praying to His Lord for good whether it is money, heath, or anything else, and if an evil such as misfortune or poverty touches him, he will become hopeless where he thinks that he will not get any good after that, and if Allah blessed him with good and sustenance after he was in hardship and poverty, he will say that this is what he deserves with his Lord, and then he will disbelieve in the Hereafter and will say "I do not think that the Hour will be established", and he claims that if there is a resurrection, then Allah will do good to him in the Hereafter as He has done good to him in the worldly life; because he sees that He deserves it despite his disbelief and denial and because the devil beautified for him his evil deeds as mentioned above in Aya (25), so Allah affirms that He will inform those who disbelieve about what they did in the worldly life and He will surely make them to taste a sever punishment in the Hellfire. Then Allah confirms that when He bestowed His favor upon man, He turns away from obedience, and distances himself from submitting to Allah's commands, but when the evil touches him, then he is a possessor of a broad supplication where he makes a lot of begging and pleading.
Allah says in the last three verses (52-54) "Say have you see if it is from Allah, then you disbelieved in it, who would be more astray than he who is in extreme opposition, We will show them Our signs in the horizons and in themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth, Is it not Sufficient about Your lord that He is witness to everything?, unquestionably, they are in doubt about meeting their Lord, unquestionably He is Encompassing of everything", that is, Allah commanded His Messenger to say to the polytheists who deny the Holy Quran, how would they be if the Holy Quran is from Allah and they disbelieved in it, then who would be more astray than those who are in extreme opposition to the guidance, and far from the right path. Then Allah confirms that He will show them His signs in the horizons and in themselves that indicate that the Holy Quran is the truth from their Lord, and Allah is sufficient as a witness over the actions and the words of His servants, unquestionably, the polytheists are in doubt of the resurrection and of meeting their Lord, and Allah affirms that His knowledge and ability encompass everything in the heavens and on the earth.
