Why should I convert to Islam?.
Allah assures that there is no religion that He accepts from anyone except Islam, which is believing in Allah, and believing in all of His Messengers and Books, so whoever meets Allah after the mission of His Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) while He did not believe in Him, then it will not be accepted from him as Allah says in Aya (19) of Surat Ali Imran "Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam", and Allah assures that whoever seeks other than Islam as religion and follows a path other than what Allah has legislated for His servants, it will not be accepted from him on the day of resurrection, and he will be among the losers in the Hereafter as he will be among the companions of Hellfire as mentioned in Aya (85) of Surat Ali Imran "And whoever seeks other than Islam as religion, it will not be accepted from him, and he will be among the losers in the Hereafter". And Allah's Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) said in narration of Abdullah bin Mas'ud: "None will enter Paradise but a Muslim soul" (Sahih Albukhari 6528).
The greatest blessing upon the Muslims is that Allah has perfected for them their religion, so they do not need any other religion, or any other Prophet except Muhammad (PBUH), as Allah says in Aya (3) of Surat Alma'idah "This day I have perfected for you your religion and I have completed My favor upon you and I have approved for you Islam as religion", so there is nothing permissible except what Allah has made lawful, there is nothing forbidden except what He has forbidden, and there is no religion except what He has legislated, and the day on which this Aya was revealed was Friday, the day of Arafa of Hajjat Alwada' (The farewell pilgrimage).
And as narrated by Tariq bin Shihab: "A man among the Jews said to Umar bin Alkhattab O commander of the believers! If we were the ones unto whom this Aya was revealed "This day I have perfected for you your religion and I have completed My favor upon you and I have approved for you Islam as religion", then we would have taken that day as Eid: a day of celebration, so Umar bin Alkhattab said to him indeed, I know which day this Aya was revealed, it was revealed on the day of Arafah, on Friday" (Jami' Altirmidhi 3043). So that day is already a day of celebration for all Muslims.
And Allah assures His Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) that He has fulfilled His word in truth regarding what He says and in justice regarding what He judges, so everything He informed is truth in which there is no doubt, everything He commands is justice other than which there is no justice, and everything He forbids is falsehood and error, and there is no one to change or distort Allah's words, so what Allah's Messenger recites from the Book is the truth from His Lord, and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knower where nothing in the heavens nor on the earth is hidden from Him, so He knows what they declare and what they conceal, as mentioned in Aya (115) of Surat Alan'am "And the word of Your Lord was fulfilled in truth and justice, there is no one to change His words, and He is All-Hearing, All-Knower".
The people of the Scripture from among the Jews and the Christians who believe in their Messenger then believe in Allah's Messenger Muhammad (PBUH), will be given their reward twice as Allah has stated in Ayat (52-54) of Surat Alqasas "Those to whom We gave the Book before it, they believe in it, and when it is recited to them, they say We believe in it, indeed, it is the truth from our Lord, indeed, we were before it Muslims, those will be given their reward twice for what they have been patient with", and Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said in narration of Alsha'bi from Abu Burda's father: ''Three persons will have a double reward: a person from the people of the Scriptures who believed in His Prophet and then believed in the Prophet Muhammad, a slave who discharged his duties to Allah and his master, and a master of a slave-girl who teaches her good manners and educated her in the best possible way and manumits her and then marries her" (Sahih Albukhari 97). But on the other hand, Allah's Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) said in narration of Abu Hurayrah: "By the One in whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! No one of this nation, whether a Jew or a Christian, hears about Me, then he dies while he does not believe in that with which I have been sent except that he will be among the companions of the Fire" (Sahih Muslim 153).
And Allah has promised those who believe in Him alone, with no partner, believe in His Messengers and Books, and adhere to the law of Allah (Shari'ah), that He will grant them succession on the earth, establish for them their religion, and grant them security as He has stated in Aya (55) of Surat Alnoor "Allah has promised those who believe among you and do righteous deeds that He will surely make them successors on the earth as He granted succession to those before them, and He will surely establish for them their religion that He has approved for them, and He will surely replace for them security after their fear, they worship Me, not associating anything with Me, but whoever disbelieve after that, then those are the disobedient".
