Do you want a house in Paradise?.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said in narration of Umm Habiba, the wife of Allah's Messenger: "Whoever prays in a day and a night twelve Rak'ahs, a house will be built for him in Paradise on account of them, Umm Habiba said I have never abandoned them since I heard it from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), Anbasa said I have never abandoned them since I heard it from Umm Habiba, Amro bin Aws said I have never abandoned them since I heard it from Anbasa, and Al-Nu'man bin Salem said I have never abandoned them since I heard it from Amro bin Aws" (Sahih Muslim 728). And Allah's Messenger said in another narration of Umm Habiba also: "Whoever prays twelve Rak'ay in a day and night, a house will be built for him in paradise, four Rak'ahs before Dhuhr prayer and two after it, two Rak'ahs after Maghrib prayer, two Rak'ah after Ishaa prayer, and two Rak'ahs before Fajr prayer" (Jami' Altirmidhi 415).

These twelve Rak'ahs are called Sunan Rawatib (Regular Sunnah prayer), and they are the voluntary prayers that follow the obligatory prayers, and they are confirmed Sunnah from the Prophet Muhammad, as Abdullah bin Shaqiq reported: "I asked Aisha about the voluntary prayer of Allah's Messenger (PBUH), and she replied before Dhuhr prayer (Noon), He used to pray four Rak'ahs in my house, then He would go out and lead the people in prayer, then come in and pray two Rak'ahs, He would then lead the people in the Maghrib prayer (Sunset), then come in and pray two Rak'ahs, then He would lead the people in the Ishaa prayer (Evening), and enter my house and pray two Rak'ahs, He would pray nine Rak'ahs during the night, including Witr. At night He would pray for a long time standing and for a long time sitting, and when He recited the Holy Quran while standing, He would bow and prostrate Himself from the standing position, and when He recited while sitting, He would bow and prostrate Himself from the sitting position, and when it was Fajr (Dawn), He would pray two Rak'ahs" (Sahih Muslim 730).

Aisha's narration included the regular Sunnah prayer, which Allah's Messenger (PBUH) performed in her house, in addition to the night prayer, and it is desirable to perform the Sunnah prayer at home, as Abdullah bin Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Observe some of your prayers in your houses, and Do not make them graves" (Sahih Muslim 777). And Allah's Messenger said in narration of Zaid bin Thabit: "O people! Perform your prayers at your homes, for the best prayer of a person is what is performed at his home except the compulsory prayer" (Sahih Albukhari 7290).

Thereupon, the twelve Rak'ahs of Regular Sunnah prayer (Sunan Rawatib) by which one hopes to gain a house in Paradise are:
  1. Two Rak'ahs before Fajr prayer (Dawn), and they are the two Rak'ahs between Adhan and Iqamah, and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said about them in narration of Aisha: "The two Rak'ahs at Dawn are better than this world and what it contains" (Sahih Muslim 725). And Aisha also reported: "The Prophet (PBUH) was never more regular in offering any supererogatory than the two Rak'ahs at the Fajr prayer" (Sahih Albukhari 1163), and Allah's Messenger (PBUH) used to recite in them {Say O disbelievers, Surat Alkafirun}, and {Say, He is Allah, who is One, Surat Alikhlas} (Sahih Muslim 726).
  2. Four Rak'ahs before Dhuhr prayer, and as narrated by Umm Habiba that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever prays four Rak'ahs before Dhuhr and four after, Allah, Almighty and Sublime, will forbid him from the Fire" (Sunan Alnasai 1814).
  3. Two Rak'ahs after Dhuhr prayer, two Rak'ahs after Maghrib prayer, and two Rak'ahs after Ishaa prayer.
